[Studio Frisay] Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete Translation Project
masster_auron and 4 others reacted to Tooko for a topic
First of all, sorry for the lack of updates since October. I had to pause the project for a bit, but it is still very much alive and I have been making steady progress on it recently, even finishing the editing for Airi's arc and I'm about a third of the way through Nagisa's arc currently, with 51% of the script edited. I will be aiming to complete the editing process before the end of next month, and then the QC process will begin. So at this point in time, I believe a release of the full patch by sometime in March is very doable and is a goal I plan on achieving, especially considering the extended break over the last few months. I'll be aiming to make some more frequent updates as I complete the editing for each arc in the coming weeks.5 points -

I won't lie. Burn out is a very really thing, and I believe is the main reason why most VN fan translation patches never see the light of day. But that's something that should almost entirely encompass the translation itself, since (from having already worked on two previous projects) that's the most tedious process, especially if the script is very long. But since I edit my own translations, I am constantly editing as I translate, which makes that process take even longer, in addition to what I'm doing now which is editing the entire script for consistency, typo/grammar fixes, checking translation accuracy, etc. I've been doing stuff like this for a long, long time (even before Studio Frisay was a thing), so I would say I'm used to it, but that doesn't make it any less of a thing I have to put a lot of dedication into. I do it as a hobby, but I still want to put out the best product possible. Sometimes, time off from a project is necessary to finally complete it. And I can say this, once the translation was completed last year, there was no way I wasn't going to see this patch to completion eventually. On a lighter note, everything surrounding Trumple seems to be cursed in general, seeing as how the studio only produced this one game almost 15 years ago. But I'm glad that the game still lives on currently, and will pretty soon live on in English, too.4 points -

I'm now done with editing the first Yui arc at 89% complete with the whole script, and less than 4,000 lines left to check in the final arc, which shouldn't take that long hopefully. Finishing up the editing of the images will then be the next priority so a beta patch can be compiled and tested.3 points -
And now with the editing of Nagisa's arc complete, the script is about 66% of the way done with about 12K lines left to go. Not much else to say other than I appreciate the comments and encouragement to finish this project. It's already been a year since this project began and I'm looking forward to sharing it with others.3 points

Warring States † Love Princess X ~ Gorgeous Maidens ☆ Illustrated Scrolls of Warring States ~ Hello guys. I started a big project of translating Sengoku † Koihime X. After checking up I found only one work of translation for it as subtitles on YouTube. As a big fan I would like to expand the fanbase for this game into English community too. I'm gonna work "live" time by posting an update english patch 2-3 times a month. You can find it after disclaimers bellow. I know that this is a big game, but I'm tired of waiting. If someone would like to help, by all means (especially testers and editors). Team working on project right now: Eokati vercere (Main Editor) Story Translation: UI Translation: *Green means it's included in the latest patch. Blue means it's also included, but not tested. Disclaimers: Patch: Patch v7.0 Installation: There are two files: Update01 is UI translation patch, and Update02 - Story translation patch. All you need to do is to drop either one of them (or both) in the game folder. Changelog: Screenshoots: Support: Buy me a coffe1 point -

Talking about JVNs. As far as I know, the in-english games aren't being treated this way, but then, I either buy or don't bother with English versions, so it isn't relevant to me. Not all cracks are infected, but the percentage is high enough that isn't worth the risk to use them, even if you just want to unlock a game that runs too heavily because of the drm (another issue softdenchi causes, as I once saw it using half a gig of RAM). I had to reformat one of my PCs after cracking a few games I bought off of DMM three years ago, because the bitcoin miners included in the package were occupying most of my RAM and my graphics card's capacity.1 point

Another month down, some more VNs down as well... Comyu, UsoNatsu, My Klutzy Cupid, everlasting flowers, Fatal Twelve, Parquet, and Family Project all completed, now I'm onto Ego's Spark before Tenshi Souzou releases this Friday... Out of all those...I'd actually recommend pretty much all of them to someone. Comyu is a great chunige by the same makers as Hello Lady! and feels very similar but with a dragon. UsoNatsu was actually my favorite read of 2024 (ignoring rereads), a well written yuri slice of life drama / coming of age tale. Fatal Twelve was a pretty good mystery / death game with some light yuri. everlasting flowers was another coming of age / drama tale with extremely light yuri undertones (nothing outright). My Klutzy Cupid is your general moege with nothing outstanding about it but also very little that was bad either. Parquet is Yuzusoft's take on an all-ages story with just romantic undertones rather than an outright romance story, which was refreshing, although I wish the afters didn't effectively end on cliffhangers. Family Project is the one I'd only recommend if you like slapstick / silly comedy because otherwise it's a one-note slog through the dramatic which is how it was for me. See you next month with probably another 5-6 completed.1 point -
Catgirls (and anthropomorphic humans in general) are a big fetish in the otaku media. The cat ears have become a staple of moe culture, a status symbol of what defines cuteness. Yet, whenever I play an eroge featuring such creatures, I often times find myself not enjoying a lot of the cutesy physical attributes of these specimen. Why is that? As I delved into my thoughts, I finally pieced together the reason for these feelings: catgirl discrimination What do I mean by this? It's simple. Catgirl discrimination is a common phenomenom in eroge (and even non-erotic titles) whereby catgirls are introduced as being an important part of a fictional setting, yet they are treated as less than humans throughout the story. Through my hours of research, I found that often times, animal girls in eroge are introduced as mere plot devices for sexual activity rather than fleshed out characters you can emphasize and form bonds with. Now this by itself isn't too surprising. After all, even when there's no catgirls involved, a lot of these games tend to focus on achieving a relationship status with another female human character. However, the difference between the latter and the former is that when humans are involved, they are treated as beings with intelligence. They are equal to the protagonist who wants to romance them. Yes, one can argue about the inherent misogyny in a lot of these titles, but that's beyond the point I'm making. The fact is, human girls are treated, well, like humans (as they should). But when it comes to catgirls, they are typically treated as less than human. They are dehumanized and turned into a creature akin to a pet. "What's the problem with that? They aren't humans, so of course they're not treated as such" you say. Ah yes, a fair point my dear reader, but let me ask you this then: Would you have sexsual intercourse with your cat or your dog? The answer is most likely "no" (if it is yes, please seek counceling. I heard PETA fines aren't anything to scoff at.) Therein lies the issue I have. Catgirls have primary human features, and yet they're often times treated as pets in most games. Why would you date someone who you treat like a pet? It makes little sense to me. Now you might say "it's just a porn game, it's for fetishistic purposes". And of course I can 100% concede to that. In fact, I myself find it to be a nice fetish to have somebody submissive to you act like a pet. There's nothing wrong with that. However, humans are more than their genitals, and their personalities go beyond the confines of the bedroom. In real life, even when we're talking about people who are into things like BDSM, there is still a human connection beyond their sexual life. No human *literally* becomes slave to another human, they mutually agree to have this type of relationship, and they ultimately see each other as equal in the relationship. Yet with catgirls, they are introduced as nothing more than instruments for sex 90% of the time, and even beyond the bedroom they're still just a pet that will obey anything and everything their owner tells them to. I can not concede that this is a healthy form for a relationship at all. Think about it. What is the point of dating somebody that always sees themselves and acts as inferior to you? Where is the happiness in dating someone with no consciousness, who's joy comes from eating food and sexually pleasing you? That is why I can not get behind most games featuring catgirls. To me, a relationship partner must be equal to me in status. I don't want to treat my significant other as a pet, but as a human being. I don't want to take them out on walks with a leash, I want to go on dates holding hands with them and eat a giant parfait together, and then pass out on a bench because the parfait was too big and we now feel like throwing up. I want script writers to write visual novels about worlds where catgirls are just like other humans. They just so happen to have cat ears and a tail and sometimes say "nya". I want them to be more than things you own that can't live by themselves without you taking care of them. That's what babies and dogs are for, not girlfriends. This is not to say I want the end of all games featuring submissive cat girls, that's still a very valid fetish, but I believe it's unfair to treat them like that in almost every single game, especially games where the focus is supposed to be the story and the characters. How can you say you have a game with great characters when those characters are seen as less than human? Games like nekopara thrive even though every single catgirl in it is portrayed as a brainless creature that goes into heat at random times and can only survive if the protagonist "relieves" them. Why must they act like animals this much? Why can't they just be regular human beings who you form a real bond with instead of an "owner x pet" relationship? In conclusion, I believe catgirls are heavily discriminated against when it comes to visual novels. They are beings that need to be given a conscioussness and a will to act on their own, not to become mere cheap tools for one's sexual pleasure. They have a lot of love to offer to the world, and we should start appreciating them for that, because who knows when they'll go extinct. Let's make the world a better place and stop catgirl discrimination. Every catgirl deserves to be portrayed as a being with a brain and a heart.1 point

Girls Frontline Porting to Visual Novel project
masster_auron reacted to fos1x for a topic
The day has come, I have decieded to port GFL to Visual novel form (Renpy) This is the place to keep track of the project! - Introduction: Girls' Frontline (少女前线) is a mobile strategy role-playing game for ANDROID EMULATOR ON PC developed by China-based studio MICA Team, where players control echelons of android characters, known in-universe as T-Dolls, each carrying a distinctive real-world zoom banger. - The game was released in Mainland China on 20 May 2016 in Hong Kong and Taiwan on 18 January 2017, and in South Korea on 30 June 2017. - And The global English version was released on 8 May 2018, while the Japanese version was released on 1 August 2018 under the title Dolls Frontline (ドールズフロントライン) due to the Girls' Frontline trademark in Japan already being held by another registrant. - Also Girls' Frontline is a prequel of another game developed by MICA Team, Codename: Bakery Girl, released in 2013 - The Game is set in a War-torn future where tactical dolls, more commonly known as T-Dolls, are almost exclusively used for combat in place of humans, some having been repurposed from their previous life as civilian androids. The majority of the world is uninhabitable due to contamination from the Collapse Fluid, and much of humankind is dead. In 2062, the artificial intelligence of Sangvis Ferri (SF) spontaneously rebels against humanity, with their T-Dolls and robots killing their human masters and taking over nearby areas. In response, the private military company (PMC) Griffin & Kryuger (G&K) is hired to contain and eliminate Sangvis Ferri forces; the player assumes the role of a recently promoted G&K Commander The base storyline focuses on the adventures of this commander and the Anti-Rain (AR) Team consisting of M4a1, STAR-15, m4 SOP(O)mod ii, M16a1, and RO (635). Other important characters include the commander's logistics officer, Kalina, AK-12, AN-94, AK-15, RPK-16 and Angelia of Squad DEFY and Squad 404, made up of UMP45, UMP9, 416, and Gr G11. - Enough copy and paste from the Wiki, I have been playing this game since August 2019 and being a daily login commander since, I'm very impressed how the writing and the world of this game set in, so I want to bring this to a bigger screen... (most GFL player already play this game on their pc) and no, only the visual novel part! - The game currently have ~40 main chapter and ton of side story, not counting ~9 Collab story, and tons of Individual character event/story, each can last from 10 minutes to 3 hours! - Goal: my goal is to preserve the game In an offline Visual Novel form, while keeping the "vibe" of the in game visual novel as close as possible including sprite Animation, sound and VFX - Off course, this can't be done perfectly while I have some personal editorial bias toward the visual novel "quality of life" aspect, but don't worry, I will try to keep the script 100% to the original. - The other goal is to create a general archive of GFL, including but not Limited to Sprite/CG/Music/Character info. - And finally, here's the progress of this project and stuff to do that will be constantly updated: Script Porting Progression : chapter 10_5 singularity UI Progression: not so basic UI Navigation MUSIC PLAYER: NA GALLERY: NA CHAPTER UI: Goal is to emulate in game story UI (except for Longitudinal Strain) Skill level in making this happen: Worse than Yandev NOT GET DMCA FROM THE MAN HIMSELF : MERRY CHRISTMAS GAME IS OUT IN BETA! GFL REDUX 1.0 BETA TEST1 point -

The Skip Button – An Anatomy of Visual Novels
Pallas_Raven reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Well let's just say that it's very useful tool to anyone else who didn't like to read the lines in the VN for the second time, although sometimes it does its job too well because the button would obviously skip everything that already read, regardless if the reader want to re-read the lines or not. Still, the usefulness outweigh it's potential drawback anyway, seeing that it would help someone who stuck in reaching the route that the player want, moreso if said VN has too many inconsequential choices which is prevalent in the older VNs. Said potential drawback is quite rare anyway, in which it only happen in the old Chaos Head where the text keep skipping if the player need to trigger the delusion at the certain instances in order to get the bad ending, and you can only get the bad ending in the second playthrough which mean you already read the lines. For skip the scene, the closest one that we have is skip to the next choice which skip a lot of scenes anyway if the developer didn't make much choices in the first place outside of the sex scenes, and one of the VN that apply that is prominently Yuzusoft VNs. As for the VN that explicitly mention skipping the scenes, well maybe only Fate/Stay Night that still apply it until now. Anyway, this feature is obviously very useful if you want to check the Japanese guide before making the English guide, or maybe checking the gallery seeing it only unlocked after you finished the game. Granted you can also do so with the regular skip, although it's obviously faster if you can skip the scenes. No much to say that the auto mode is mostly useful if you record the VN to make the playthrough to upload it on Youtube, although it won't be useful if you prefer to rush the game seeing auto mode speed is usually too slow if you're fast reader. That's all for what I can write in regard of this topic.1 point -

It isn't really an issue if you can read a VN quickly enough, but I can see how the skip function might be an engrossment-breaking tool for the majority of people, who can't read a line a second, lol.1 point -

fixed a dozen or so issues ie the taco and takeru incident in which i replaced all the "take"'s with tacos then "takeru" then back to "take" but i forgot to fix a few of em because the java program i made for setting up the lines in a txt file screwed up and affected 3 of my backups cause im dumb and not realizing i had this issue because java does not like Jp text formatting. But now its fixed. Also moar fixes coming soon as i still need to fill in a few missing lines. Like pot holes in a road after you caused said potholes and general grammar issues but dont expect anything till December because school takes a whole lotta time out of my life. And league of legends. Also possible Miki and Kasumi route soon as I'm in contact with someone working on it im not sure when hes going to release the patch but he said hes working on it because he wants to finish the patch started by some other fine folks then by me and now by him all though im still gonna make this patch perfect for the work ive done. also links updated1 point

What's up, hound dogs. We of PhijkchuGames are working on this disgusting insult to the classic ADV VNs and RPGs of old. If you like those sorts of silly pc98 era games or just want to play some random crap, then you MIGHT like SOME parts of this game. We would appreciate any feedback on the demo. If you like it, the full game with about four times as much content releases in January. VNDB | Get it on MangaGamer! Summary Kantou, Pandemonium— Formerly known as Kajou City, a central metropolis of the Kantou region, it was transformed overnight into a demonic city where the supernatural runs rampant after it was linked to the swirling power of chaos from the Abyss several years ago. When immortal, unidentified beings called “Witches” began to appear, the government responded by quarantining the metropolitan area, and ceding the land from their sovereign borders. Though old Kajou City became a ghost town for a time, criminals, illegal immigrants, and defaulting debtors who couldn’t make a living in this corrupt world sought refuge in the city, followed by an influx of prostitutes, black market dealers, and yakuza seeking to take advantage of them. After growing to a population of 150,000 over several years, the curtain rises on this tale when a certain man encounters a lone “Witch” here in this unrecognized free city known as Pandemonium. The wheel of destiny begins to turn for one man and the “Witches”, here in this dangerous, evil city beyond the reach of law. Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order There are three endings: a bad end, a normal end and a true end. The bad and normal end are possible in the first playthrough; the true ending is only unlocked on your second playthrough. To save you some time, I have included save points. Kozue's Bizarre Adventure Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (08/09/2020) Foreword - Looks like we finally have VNTS again even though the format is different, so I'll link it like back in the past. I hope that Zakamutt can keep it up. Welcome to this week VNTS Review and since I recently see some Jojo meme (And check some of the anime along with the manga), I decided to parodied the franchise in question by changing 'Jojo' into 'Kozue'. For the info Kozue here is the MC of Kozue's Strange Journey that was released by Kagura Games, and for the reminder strange is the synonym of bizarre while journey is the synonym of adventure. As for this week, what I can say is that after some active weeks this time it's quite calm in that there's only several updates along with one release, so yeah it's more or less just average week here although at least we have IxShe Tell exact release date announcement. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. As for Room No. 9 that Mangagamer just released, it's more or less a BL VN with the premise that Daichi was trapped in a hotel together with his male lover and in order to escape he must do several tasks that was assigned to him in that the choices are pretty much telling them to hurt each other. No much to say other than at least it should be good if we look that the writer is also wrote well-received BL VN No Thank You (I know that the name is a punny one), so get the VN if you interested and have fun. Of course with this Mangagamer announced their next release, and in this case it's WanNyan in that it's doggirl and catgirl nukige. Except that it turned out that the heroines are turned out to be just normal human who cosplayed to work at the cafe, and it's also the case back at Macchiato. As for the release date, it'll be at September 3rd later so feel free to note the date if you want to get it. I'll try WanNyan later, if only for the sexy alternative costumes that the heroines wear lol. Sekai have some updates, in that they have Slobbish Princess was fully translated, Kimagure was at 65% translated, and currently Nine 3 was waiting for the build approval. No much to say other than I hope that it mean they already prepared the release build for Nine Episode 3, and that hopefully they'll be able to release it at this year if possible seeing that Valve can be quite random in their approval. Speaking of Valve, they allowed Bokuten to be sold on Steam again after Mangagamer did some modification to the game file by changing the hidden 18+ CGs into blank files, so perhaps the hidden 18+ CGs in the game file of Steam version is really the problem. This week we have Trip being busy with his move, so unfortunately there's no Ginharu progress at this week. For other updates, we have Miotsukushi Ura was at 83% translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 35% edited, Loverable was at 89.66% edited, Harugi was at 60% translated with Branch route was past halfway (64%) translated, Eustia was at 93.70% translated with side stories was at 59.10% translated, and Reflection Blue was at 60.6% translated with Miki's route was past three quarter (77.2%) translated along with Shiki's route (The longest new route of Summer Pocket for the info) was at almost a quarter (24.1%) translated. Forgot to inform that Alka decided to hold Kud Wafter translation in order to be focused on Reflection Blue, so we must wait if you looking forward to Kud Wafter. Turned out that Nekonyan decided to have IxShe Tell as their next release instead of Hello Lady. While granted that I didn't have problem with the release, I did think that Hello Lady would be Nekonyan's next release seeing that it's almost close to the completion back then. Well perhaps we'll going to have Hello Lady as their next release after IxShe Tell, so let's wait and hope that we'll see it at this year. As for the release date of IxShe Tell, it'll be at 28th later so obviously note the date if you've been waiting for it. What I can say is that at least the art is quite good if anything else, and just expect this as pure moege. Almost forget to say that we have the Steam store for this as well, so you can get IxShe Tell from Steam in case you using Steam. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Police of Daybreak Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (12/06/2020) Since we have Ryuusei being released back at last week along with that it share the same writer as Akagoei, I decided to just replace the 'Guard' in the English translation of Akagoei full title (Guard of Daybreak) into 'Police' so we have Police of Daybreak as this week VNTS Review, and the reason for the 'Police' word here is because we have Ryuusei's MC Ruka work as the police albeit a lazy one. As for this week, other than Ryuusei sudden release we also have Fruitbat and Aksys announce their new VNs. For the VNs itself, Fruitbat is announced a mystery VN while for Aksys obviously they have otome console VNs. Overall what I can say in regard of this week it would be a bit interesting thanks to some new announcements along with usual fan translation updates, although I can't say that I find the new VNs announcements are interesting to me though. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. As for Ryuusei, it's not surprising that ShiraVN is the one who release it because they've been talked about on how Steam did disapprove it (I don't really know on why they insist to ban it). The premise goes like we have our MC Ruka who is a policeman with superpower, although he's quite lazy though in that he prefer to not work seriously unless the situation force him so much that he's been infamous because of that and many other people would obviously called him on that. For Kinugasa's writing, while I did say that he's incapable to finish his story properly (Or like to write open ending to put it nicely) actually he can write some entertaining character interaction as shown with Ruka and other people interaction. By the way even with the knowledge that apparently there'll be two more parts here, I won't exactly expect the writer to end it properly even at the presumably last part if we look at the last entry of Akagoei in that he's still like to write the open ending. That said as long as you know that the ending is an open one and you're okay with the saying the journey is what count the most along with want to see some entertaining character interaction, go get Ryuusei and have fun. Before going to the otome VNs that Aksys announced, we have Verdelish did translated 4% of Slow Damage. Speaking about that, I did forget to mention that JAST will release the translated version of it after several months of Japanese release, which mean it would be after February because the Japanese version of Slow Damage will be released at February 25th later. I don't know though if JAST will really manage to do it or not, although perhaps looking on their recent track record I should expect that they may manage to deliver it in reasonable time (Not that I look forward to it anyway). For Aksys otome VN, we have three of it. The first one is Variable Barricade, in that apparently it's about a wealthy girl who didn't like her grandpa suddenly need to deal with five groom candidates that were sent by her grandfather. The second one is Olympia Soiree, in that we have a setting when the color are more important than life and currently the only one who represent the white color (A rare color) is the female MC so she need to marry one of six heroes in order to get a new successor of white color. The last one is Ayakashimori in that the female MC will try her best to become one of Ayakashimori member, and as for Ayakashimori itself it's a special bureau that deal with youkai. All three VNs will be available for Switch at 2021 later, so at least it should be a good news for otome VN fans. From Fruitbat we have MAMIYA in that it's been translated by the late Conjueror. What I can see is that apparently it's a mystery VN that deal with murder and all, and it's pretty obvious that it'll be all age. Fruitbat will release it at Spring 2021 later, so you may note the release estimation if you interested with it. For fan translation, we have Eustia was at 58.04% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 32.25% TLC-ed, Chaos Head Noah common route was at 14.75% translated (Note that Noah's common route consist two thirds of the whole VN), Loverable was at 92.83% edited, Pure x Connect translation team will start their work on Arisa's route and that they show some progress on editing (Currently 9,475 lines were edited), both common and Reika's routes for Akagoei were finished the translation work, and Harugi was at 73% translated with Yuuna's route was past three quarter (76%) translated along with Misaki's route was at 18% translated. That's all for fan translation here. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for being late here. See you next week.1 point -
Gochuumon wa Neko Desu ka? Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/29/2020) I'm sure that you realized that I parodied Gochiusa franchise, only that I changed Usagi' into 'Neko' because we have Nekopara 4 released few days ago and obviously Nekopara 4 here wouldn't deal with rabbit (Translation Note: Usagi mean rabbit). Speaking of Gochiusa Sol Press did manage to license the manga version of it, although looking from their recent performance I understand if the people have doubt on Sol Press. Welcome to this week VNTS Review and as for this week I can say that it's still like last week with several updates from both of Sekai and Nekonyan along with Nekonpara 4 release. Other than that, of course we still have the updates from fan translation as usual even though it's not as much like back at last week. So overall I guess I can say that this week is quite average one to a degree, and let's see what I can write for this week as well. While I did say that Sekai did have several updates, in practice it's just the announcements of the exact release date for their three short VNs. Those three VNs are Zombie VN Volume 3, Bokukotsu FD, and Zombie VN Volume 0. For the release date, it'll be at December 15th later which to say are coincide with several other releases at that week (ie Riddle Joker and Sukehime). While granted that the releases are not either Daybreak or Nine Episode 4, I guess it's good to see that Sekai finally cleared their backlog a bit. For Nekopara 4, it's more famous because of the art by Sayori that was apparently cited as good looking, and I can say it is considering back when I played Labyrinth of Touhou I use sprites mod with her arts on Touhou characters because I find the arts are good looking (I didn't know the arts in the sprite mod that I use are her works when I did play it). As for Nekopara 4 here, the premise is that our MC decided to go to France in order to get better in cake making because his father was disapprove the MC bakery. In any case, we should know that we play Nekopara here only for the catgirls and not for the story. Go get Nekopara 4 on Steam if you want to play more Nekopara, and have fun. As for this week fan translation, currently we have Shin Koihime Musou was at 38% edited, Yuuna's route from Harugi was at 69% (Nice number) translated, and Eustia was at 58.03% TLC-ed with Licia's route was at 32.17% TLC-ed. No much to say, so that's all for this week fan translation updates. For Nekonyan update, we have Kirikoi started the QA (At 1% right now), Clover Days was at 60% edited, their 1st secret project was at 65% translated, and their 2nd secret project was at 27% translated. They also has one more secret project with the current progress was fully translated and edited, and while I did suggest Harem Kingdom back at Nekonyan's Discord I guess the more reasonable guess would be either Tenshin Ranman or (Hopefully not) some VN that has available translation. In any case, Nekonyan said that they'll reveal the projects at either January or February, so let's see it later. Lastly currently they've been struck with payment processor problem at their own shop so that it can't be used, although since unlike Mangagamer at least it won't stop them to release Riddle Joker because Nekonyan still has several other shops. That's all for this week and sorry for being late here. See you next week. PS - I know that we have Ryuusei World Actor was released by (Unsurprisingly) ShiraVN at Johren (DMM owned store) today, although I decided to save that topic for my next VNTS Review. What I can say is that at least the character arts are looking good (Same artist as Koichoco), although obviously art here won't do much to save Kinugasa's inability to end his story properly.1 point -
Wondering Swordsman: The Journey of Rance Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/01/2020) Since we have Rance 01 and 02 bundle being released, I thought that it would be appropriate to parodied English title of Majo no Tabi Tabi, Wondering Witch: The Journey of Elaina, for this week VNTS Review title in that I changed the 'Witch' into 'Swordsman' and 'Elaina' into 'Rance' because Rance himself is a very good swordsman. As for this week, seeing that it's Halloween we have a lot of announcements and releases with Mangagamer decided to reveal three of their secret projects along with aforementioned Rance bundle release, and we also have both Nekonyan and Sekai did their updates. So overall I can say that this week is quite an exciting one, and let's see what I can write for this week as well. From fan translation we have Loe Translation did release the 2nd Alpha patch for Junketsu Megami-sama in that apparently translate some more of the contents. I didn't care much about the VN itself seeing that it's a pregnancy nukige that Loe Translation like to translate and that the premise was related to the MC impregnate the goddesses, but it should be good for anyone who waiting for the update of the translation itself seeing that the last time they release partial patch was at June 2018 (I forgot about that to be frank). For the rest of the updates, we have Loverable was at 92.26% edited, Reflection Blue was past three quarter (75.63%) edited, Shin Koihime Musou was at 37% edited, Harugi was at 69% translated with Yuuna's route was at 46% traslated along with Misaki's route was at 11% translated, and Eustia was at 56.32% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 23.11% TLC-ed. We also have six routes from Chaos Head Noah finished the first pass translation, and that they're also keep working on Robotic Notes in that other than fixing the translation they'll also add the mouse support for it (Their blogpost for more detail). I also know that there's both Akagoei and Suzukuri no Karin-chan finished the prologue translation, but for time being I decided to not keep my eyes on those two much. This week we have Creature Romance For Girl released by Sekai few days ago, and it's been four years since Sekai announce it. The VN itself is obviously otome VN only that the heroes themselves are the alien, which might be quite handsome for alien standard. Anyway if you somehow find the aliens are handsome and want to play some otome VN, go get the VN and have fun. By the way for trivia it's from same developer who develop the VN where you can date your grasshopper childhood friend. We also have the updates from Sekai in that we have Nine Episode 4 was at 80% translated and edited, and most surprisingly we have Amatsutsumi was at 90% translated. I guess Sekai is really want to release Nine Episode 4 as soon as possible looking from the number of editing progress, and I'll look forward to see if it's really possible or not. I also hope that Sekai will release Amatsutsumi faster, but perhaps it might be not quite possible for them. That's all for Sekai Project updates. Mangagamer They decided to reveal three out of their four secret projects, and let's just say that all of those are have some passion. As for the reveal, turned out that the 7th secret project was a VN from Clock-Up with the localized name How to Live a Healthy Hentai Lifestyle in that it's about a MC who somehow manage to live together with a family that have the matriarch who manage to save the world from World War 3 by using sex diplomacy, and naturally the MC will have a lot of sex from the female in the family. While this is Clock-Up VN, I think it's one of their lighter VN out there although of course there'll be a number of sex scenes seeing that it's nukige and all. The other reveal that they have is also in regard of their 4th secret project in that turned out it's Funbag Fantasy 3if, which of course still have big breast heroines and that it's the better version of the original Funbag Fantasy 3. It should also be noted that earlier we have Waffle work together with ShiraVN to release Eden's Ritter overseas, so at least now I'm sure that Waffle still willing to work with Mangagamer. Since we already have the progress for both projects seeing that it's the secret projects, let me remind that currently both VNs were fully translated and edited. For their 3rd secret project, turned out that it's a VN from Base Son and that it'll be released at 19th later. Although unfortunately it's not either Shin Koihime Musou or Sengoku Koihime, but instead it's a GL VN (Wanting Wings aka Kimihane) with the premise that three girls became roommate with all of them are having same backstory in that they've seen the angel in their childhood. Naturally being roommate in GL VN can only mean one thing, and it's like Flowers Spring in that there'll be romance involved. We also have the sequel for this to be released in a bundle, just like Rance 01 and 02 bundle. I don't know on how good the VN will be, but apparently the reception for it so far are quite good so I'm slightly look forward for the release later. As for the release that Mangagamer had, it's Rance 01 and 02 bundle in that those two VNs are the remake of older Rance. We also already have those two translated in the past, which technically speaking it mean that the release are quite redundant because the English player already know the story for both of 01 and 02. That said, both VNs come with the improvements so perhaps the release are not so redundant. As for 01 here, our Rance was tasked to find a lost girl. For 02 here Rance was supposed to save the town from four witches who wield the ring that amplify the magic power of virgin, and saving the town would naturally involving what Rance would easily to do (ie sex). As for the improvement, 01 had the graphic fully revamped along with the gameplay change. While the available translation for Rance 2 was also use the remake, apparently Alicesoft decided to hide the improved script inside the sub directory of Alice 2010 (Don't ask me on why Alicesoft didn't just incorporate the new script file into game's main file) and the fan translator didn't translate the improved script so at least you can see more lines in Mangagamer version of 02. Go get Rance bundle if you want to see the beginning of an infamously selfish swordsman adventure, and have fun. Other After some time waiting, we finally have Fakku revealing that they'll release Abaddon at next year (ie February 12th) along with them released the trial version of it. I'm still not quite interested with this, but at least good for the people who've been want to play Abaddon for a while. Sol Press also gave some updates in that we have Sakura Celebration QA build was in progress and that Nukitashi was past halfway (51%) edited, and no much to say other than apparently they have new editor for Nukitashi or something like that. From Nekonyan we have some interesting progress in that Clover Days was at 40% edited and started the engine port, Kirikoi was fully translated along with three quarter edited, Melty Moment was halfway translated, and their 1st secret project was at 62% translated along with a quarter edited. Also they already have Riddle Joker was at 80% in QA, although it's already ready for the release anyway so telling the QA progress for that is a bit moot to me. Lastly we have surprise release from Sukera Sparo in form of their new VN Curse of Kudan, and apparently it's been banned on Steam so you can't get that there. As for the premise, it's about the town who said to be cursed with a creature called Kudan in that if you see it you'll die in several days later. Enter 16 years old girl Kudan Sakuya (The MC) who have the same family name as the creature in that she has the bad fortune to see Kudan, and of course Sakuya try to fight her supposed end to not avail only to be fail seeing that the Kudan keep approaching her. From there we'll see on how Sakuya will find a way to fight the curse and hopefully she'll be successful. Forgot to say that like Amrilato (Same developer) this is GL VN as well, although the writer is not the same though in that the writer for Curse of Kudan here is also Flowers tetralogy writer. Go get Curse of Kudan if you want a GL VN with supernatural element, and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Sakura Zombie Outbreak Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (11/15/2020) For the title I just combined 'Sakura' from 'Sakura Succubus 3' VN that was released several days ago along (At 2nd) with 'Zombie Outbreak' because we have the Steam store for Zombie VN part 3 was opened and the VN itself is dealing with zombie outbreak, so we have 'Sakura Zombie Outbreak' as the title for this week VNTS Review. As for this week, I guess there's no much to say other than it's pretty much quite plain or like Zakamutt said an uneventful week. That said, there's still some interesting announcements to note though such as Akagoei prologue patch release along with some usual updates from fan translation, so perhaps it's still interesting week to a degree. Anyway let's see what I can write for this week as well. Cherry Kiss decided to release yet another nukige, and this time they release a nukige with the premise an invisible man decided to make several women in his neighbourhood pregnant. The localized VN title is 'Invisible Cock: You'll Never See It Cumming', which certainly would remind you of Persona 5 normal battle lyric if you play it (Or you can just search 'Persona 5 Last Surprise' in Youtube in case you didn't play it because you didn't have necessary console to play it). As for Cherry Kiss here, I can say that at least I should give them some credits for their creative localized title along with their frequent releases even though all of their VNs are nukige lol. Go get the VN from Steam if you need some nukige and interested, and have fun. Sekai did updated some of their project. As for the updates, currently we have Slobbish Dragon Princess was fully edited and right now they're already received the build that presumably would be used for QA, Nine Episode 4 translation progress (Translation and editing progress) was already finished and now they've waiting for the build, and the Steam store for Zombie VN volume 3 was already up with the release estimation will be at December later (No exact date yet). While Steam store for Zombie VN volume 3 opened is good because finally we can have the last part for Zombie VN episodic release, I'm more interested with Nine Episode 4 in that it's quite fast. Then again I see that Dovac did state at the Discord that they'll try to have Nine Episode 4 released at this year, so let's see if Sekai can fulfill their target later. For fan translation updates, right now we have Taimanin Yukikaze 2 was at 85% edited, Harugi was at 71% translated with Yuuna's route was at 56% translated and Misaki's route was at 15% translated, and Eustia was at 57.61% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 29.96% TLC-ed. We also have Akagoei prologue patch in which it's obviously translate the VN up to the prologue, and according to the post the prologue itself had 5,000 lines. Go get the patch here if you want to read Akagoei's prologue in English, and have fun. Lastly we have Committee of Zero released their fix patch for Robotic Notes Elite in that it improved some of the translation and more importantly it add mouse support that Spike Chunsoft forgot to add. Go get the patch here if you felt that the translation is lacking and that you feel uncomfortable to not be able to use mouse to play Robotic Notes, and have fun. Oh there's still no patch for DaSH here, although seeing that they already stated that they'll worked on that we may see the patch in the near future. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry for the short entry here. See you next week.1 point -
Riddle Clover Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (09/27/2020) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for the title I just combined both of Riddle from Riddle Joker and Clover from Clover Day's so that we have Riddle Clover for this week VNTS Review title. The reason for the title is because this week we have Nekonyan did their monthly update, and those two did have the updates. By the way I did a bit of searching about Riddle Clover, and find out that it's one of the fabric product that was available here. As for this week, we have Frontwing release Loca Love Volume 3 with English language support and that we have a news about fault after several years of waiting. Other than those two notable news, we have several usual updates from fan translation and also the aforementioned Nekonyan monthly update. Overall I can say that this week is not too bad even though it's quite plain, and let's see what I can write for this week as well. JAST did release Kanosen which tell us the story about a student on how naughty his girlfriend is, and said girlfriend is also his homeroom teacher. As for the teacher heroine herself while the MC said that she's kind and beautiful, I'll just say that after I saw the design I'm no longer thinking that Wagahigh heroines chest size is too big anymore or rather their chest are very flat compared to the teacher heroine lol. At least I didn't need to comment about on how her design is too old for the setting like back at Shoujo Dominance. Well go get Kanosen if you like to see the kind and beautiful teacher taking care of the MC's raging libido so that he can enjoy his school life, and have fun. Speaking about JAST, we also have them acknowledged that they still working Majikoi at their tweet (The link to the tweet), so at least it should be good enough confirmation for now to anyone else who still waiting for JAST to release it. After several years of waiting, we finally have a news about fault side below release estimation and as for the release plan it'll be at spring 2021. While I know that if they finished it at side below would mean that they'll rush the ending, personally I prefer them to finish it now if we need to wait for a long time for each of the sequel. But if you tell me that the cause for the long wait is because a lot of factor such as engine factor and their separation from Sekai, I can only say that I hope the developer can pick up the pace for the next part release if they still want to develop more parts before the finale. As expected Frontwing did release Loca Love Volume 3 with English language support, and they also released download version at both of JAST and Fakku as well (Also not at Steam for obvious reason). The premise is that this time we have out MC getting closer to his childhood friend who actually his upperclassman only that she's shorter than the MC, and that she's working as shrine maiden. What I can say is that just expect this like previous Loca Love in that the MC will gradually getting closer to the heroine, which in this case it's the aforementioned shrine maiden childhood friend. Go get Loca Love Volume 3 if you want to read it, and have fun. Irru did announce that Trip decided to take some time to do hiatus because of burnout, so don't expect Ginharu update for some time. I don't know when Trip will recover from the burnout so that he can continue Ginharu translation, but hopefully he'll be able to recover at some time in the future. For other updates from fan translation, we have 16,661 lines from Pure x Connect are translated, Loverable was at 91.26% edited, Harugi was at 63% translated with Branch was at 94% translated, Reflection Blue was at 43.3% edited, and Eustia was at 97.78% translated with side routes was at 85.59% translated along with the editing was once again caught up at 97.61% edited. That's all for fan translation updates at this week. As for Nekonyan's update, finally we have them started the editing progress for Clover Days with the current progress was at 15% edited. For other updates, we finally have Aokana EXTRA 1 was approved for Steam (Which mean it shouldn't have any more trouble to be on Steam considering that Valve is pretty much quite unpredictable when it come to the censorship) and currently it's been at halfway in QA, Kirikoi was at 95% translated along with 70% translated, Riddle Joker was fully edited along with past halfway (55%) in QA, and their secret project was at halfway translated. Speaking about secret project, Nekonyan decided to add one more of it and currently it's been at a quarter translated. As for what their new project is obviously I don't know because it's dubbed as secret project (Duh), although if I may suggest something it could be either Harem Kingdom or Cafe Stella with the latter did have the 4-koma video was translated by Nekonyan (Either way I would like it if turned out the secret project was one of two VNs that I suggested). That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - There's another new VN announced for the release at December 17th later, and the name of the VN is Abyss of the Sacrifice. Apparently the VN itself will depict five girls trapped in a dangerous place and they must do their best to survive, just like Zero Escape trilogy or Root Double. I'll try to comment more on that later.1 point -
Mobile Suit Gunvarrel Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (10/18/2020) As for the title, since in Robotic Notes we have Gunvarrel giant robot which supposed to be Gundam parody, I decided to just simply return the favor by changing Gundam from 'Mobile Suit Gundam' into 'Mobile Suit Gunvarrel' with the in series name is 'Mobile Battler Gunvarrel'. I'm sure that you didn't need my explanation for Gundam seeing that it's a very famous robot anime franchise, but just in case you want to know more here's the article from Wikipedia in regard of that. Welcome to this week VNTS Review and as for this week I guess I can say that it's been an active week compared to the last week with Robotic Notes and Steam Prison Fin's route release, and other than that we also finally have Mangagamer usual updates. Other than those highlight, we also have JAST announced their new VN and the VN in question is quite twisted to say it lightly. So overall it's not too bad week here, and let's see what I can write for this week as well. Few days ago JAST announced their new VN that will be released at 21st later. The VN in question is Sadistic Blood in that it's another VN from Black Cyc which as we know like to make a twisted nukige, and Sadistic Blood here is no exception with some CG depicted amputation. The VN itself have two female vampires wondering together and both of them are in love with each other, so at least we can say that this is a GL VN to a degree. In any case, if you want to play it you can wait until 21st later although obviously I won't recommend 15 years old to play this for an obvious reason, and at least I can say that the graphic itself looking pretty. Speaking about release, we have Cherry Kiss suddenly release a nukige called My Yandere Sister Loves Me Too Much back at 16th, and as for the premise it's about the older sister who dotes on the MC who is her younger brother so much that she decided to isolate the MC so that she can keep him by herself. Go get that if you like yandere heroine, and have fun. Mangagamer did released Fin's route add on for Steam Prison, which mean that you can play Fin's route if you like him ever since Steam Prison released so have fun with his route. For the updates, we have Sona-Nyl Refrain was fully translated, Genesis was fully edited, and Jeanne image editing was completed. For secret projects, the 6th project was at 68% translated along with 67% edited and the 7th project was fully edited. No much to say admittedly, although Mangagamer did tease that they plan something interesting at this month so hopefully it could be something really interesting. For fan translation, we have Yukikaze 2 was at 70% edited, Loverable was at 91.93% edited, Harugi was at 66% translated with Yuuna's route was past a quarter (31%) translated, Chiccakunai Mon was at 64.5% translated, and Reflection Blue was at 71.77% edited. From Eustia today we have another milestone in that currently it's been at fully edited, and with that I'll fully change my focus on the TLC process in that currently it's been at 55.80% TLC-ed with Licia's Chapter was at 20.36% TLC-ed. By the way I know that we have Akagoei translation project being revived, but since I already stated that my interest was plummeted to almost none thanks for Kinugasa being incapable to end his own story, I would say that I didn't care much about it. Still good luck on the project though, if only for Kinugasa's writing fans and also for the people who've been wanting to play this VN after knowing that it's one of well known untranslated VNs. Before I talk about Robotic Notes, let me say that at first I find it questionable that Daru of Steins Gate did have MC role in the sequel as of the creator didn't confident that people would like the VN on it's own. Then again seeing that people think Robotic Notes here is inferior to Steins Gate, perhaps what the developer do is right even though I think that it should be okay if Robotic Notes casts are the one who handle the problem by themselves. That aside let me talk about the premise in that we have a robot school club that currently about to be disbanded thanks to usual lack of member problem, and that the club have goal to build Gunvarrel replica. Of course since Robotic Notes here is Science Adventure VNs, obviously there'll be some bad events that'll be happened and it's our heroes job to put a stop into it. By the way it's just too bad in that it have weird choice to not have mouse support which is unacceptable seeing that both of Somnium and YU-NO remake have mouse support and both of those are originally console VNs. So if you interested with Robotic Notes and didn't mind lack of mouse support for PC version, go get that and have fun. Almost forgot to note that the sequel is also translated, and that both VNs are have translation problems so Committee of Zero decided to do retranslation patch for Robotic Notes and aiming to release it within a month (Their tweet for more info). That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Mersin Mew Mew Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (09/20/2020) Seeing that we have Salthe release with Mersin as the main setting place and that we have Wan Nyan A La Mode was released back at 18 days ago, I decided to parodied the old anime Tokyo Mew Mew in that I changed 'Tokyo' into 'Mersin' which ironically quite fitting seeing that the producer for Salthe was also the one who wrote first three Nekopara VNs (Although obviously the tone is very different). For more trivia, Tokyo Mew Mew itself have sequel manga with the sub title A La Mode although the manga itself is quite infamous though. As for this week, I guess I can say that this week is quite active with several releases (Most of those are just nukige releases though) along with some updates as usual. That said, at least I can say that I find that Salthe here is quite interesting to a degree even with the fact that it have a lot of torture and rape and that it's a nukige as well. Let's see what I can write for this week as well, and sorry for being late. I can't comment much on Monster Girl Breeder other than it's yet another isekai nukige VN release from Cherry Kiss Games that focused on Monster Girl, but if you like to play it because of the monster girl then go ahead. Other nukige releases are from fan translation section, with one of those have a very indicative title (Tomodachi Sex). The premise for Tomodachi Sex is that we have female MC was have sex friend who also his childhood friend and yet she already have a boyfriend, so essentially we play as a girl who have sex behind her boyfriend. By the way I want to nitpick about the appearance, in that the childhood friend is drawn more like a nice guy character while the boyfriend was drawn like some usual cool guy rival character, so perhaps the girl was wrong in regard of choosing her boyfriend because she should be with her childhood friend lol. Another releases was in regard of Appetite VN which obviously another nukige as well, although I can't say much on that as well other than it have goddess heroine. Go get two other nukige if you interested with those two as well, and have fun. For fan translation update, we have Loverable was at 91.03% edited, Harugi's Branch was at 87% translated, Reflection Blue was at 15.29% edited, and Eustia was at 96.39% translated with side routes was past three quarter (76.58%) translated. There's also Noe's route patch from Steps to Love VN was released in that it's obviously translate both common and Noe's route, and with that it mean only one route left before the full patch release seeing that it only have two heroines (Although I'm not particularly looking forward to the release of full patch though). Lastly we have Table of N translation patch released, although I don't know much about it though other than it's short otome VN with vampire and that the staffs are experienced in writing otome mobile VN. Go get the patch from this thread here if you interested to know on what kind of story that the short VN have, and have fun. We also have Taisho x Alice Episode 2 release, in that following the previous volume we'll going to have our female MC dating one of handsome version of fairy tale heroine, and this time we'll have the MC dating both of handsome Kaguya and Gretel. Also in case you worry about bad translation and bad dub, worry not because the translator is still Verdillish and that the voice of the heroes is still in Japan. Go get it from Steam if you like otome VN, and I hope you'll enjoy it. Speaking about otome VN, we have Mangagamer announced the release date for Steam Prison Fin's route DLC, and it'll be at October 15th later. From Sekai we have Bokukotsu FD currently waiting for approval, and more importantly we have Nine Episode 4 was halfway translated. About Salthe, first of all it's produced by Soiree who as I see from VNDB is Smile's imprint in that it's the same company that was produced Bokukotsu. Although Bokukotsu here is more or less very light moe nukige with same art as Nekopara (Same artist and all), Salthe here is far from light seeing that it have torture and rape. And apparently the contents of that was quite severe, so much that ShiraVN did need to release uncensored patch outside Steam, with the censored VN itself was already categorized as adult only game at Steam. The premise here is like we have our female MC titular Salthe who find herself act in what the VN call a comedy show in order to reenact on how she find her demise, and turned out that it full of torture and rape. Note that while the VN call it as comedy, obviously the comedy here is not like what we see at Bokukotsu although whether you'll agree that the VN itself is a comedy or not I'll leave it to each of their own. Granted that initial reaction would say that this VN is not a comedy, although I won't know though if the same can be said if you finished Salthe. If you want to see on how Sathe's act will going, find out more about that by yourself and have fun (You can get Salthe at Steam legally for the info). That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
9 -Nine- Episode 3: Yoshikawa Haruka Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (09/06/2020) I'll tell the title at PS later, and welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for this week, I guess I can say that it's being another active one with both of Wan Nyan and Nine Episode 3 release in that the latter is Sekai's first big release at 2020. Other than those two releases, we also have MDZ of Koiresort translation fame decided to being active and recently he released Kosaka-san translation patch. The rest of the updates are mostly the progress from both of Nekonyan and fan translation, and also we have JAST announced yet another of monoceros's nukige. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. For fan translation updates we have Harugi's Branch was at 82% translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 36% edited, Loverable was at 90.38% edited, Reflection Blue was at 6.2% edited along with Alka reworking on the translation of original Summper Pockets (The translation on Reflection Blue is still resuming, and currently they working on the lines that mostly related on ping pong mini game), and Eustia was at 95.57% translated with side routes was at 71.24% translated. As for Kosaka-san, from what I read apparently the atmosphere of the VN is like Subahibi in that it's about the world that about to face apocalypse, and that it's quite short. For the premise, the MC was like to be going to the rooftop in order to escape from the bustle of lunchtime at school hours, and one day the MC met with a girl that was called Kosaka-san who inform that she want to commit suicide before meteorite destroyed the Earth in the short time. Go get the VN if you interested or want to see on whether it'll be really like Subahibi or not (I mean in regard of the atmosphere, not the twist), and have fun. Turned out that Chinkamo here is indeed Love Lab's secret project and that it's been fully translated and edited, and for another update from Love Lab we also have Humbling of Holy Maiden was fully translated. JAST did have another monoceross's nukige, and this time is a nukige with the teacher with the name Kanosen. They also already have the release date for this, and it'll be at 25th later. This time I won't comment on how the heroine design make her look older like back at Shoujo Dominance, although her breast there is suddenly make me think that Wagahigh heroines breast are very small lol. Lastly we have Ninetails announced that they'll start the KS for Hypno later (ie today), so let's see on how they'll do the KS later in regard of their goal and their merchandise. Since we have Mangagamer released Wan Nyan, of course they had announced their next release for the next month. And in this case, their next release is Mugen Renkan with the release date at October 1st later. Back to Wan Nyan, what I can say is that it's pretty much just very normal moege even with the sexy alternative costumes that they have, and for more info the heroines here are pretty much normal human who cosplaying as doggirl and catgirl to run the cafetaria although I have to wonder though on who would use dog and cat in real life family name. Also the MC here is a wanderer who have a lot of absence in the school and yet managed to be prodigy in sweet making because he's a bit obsessed with ultimate sweet, and that he managed to met all of six heroines in one way or another. If anything at least the MC have face and it's quite good looking so it's reasonable for the heroines to fall in love with him lol, which to say pretty unusual for this type of VN. Go get Wan Nyan if you want some pseudo doggirl and catgirl who run the cafe like Tokyo Mew Mew, and have fun. Before going to Nine Episode 3 release, we have some updates from Sekai in that they fully translated Kimagure Temptation and that they have overall Rewrite was past halfway (55%) along with 44% edited. I won't bother to note that progress though seeing that it's too bothersome to count the lines for both of Rewrite+ and Harvest Festa, especially after I know that Rewrite+ cut some lines in exchange for adding some more new lines. For Nekonyan after their IxShe Tell release, we have them did usual updates. As for the updates, it goes like we have Aokana EXTRA 1 was fully translated and edited and currently the engine port for that is ongoing, both of Melty Moment and their secret project was at 40% translated, Riddle Joker was fully translated along with 98% edited and 40% in QA, and Clover Days editing will begin in this week with the engine port was delayed. After looking at both of Hello Lady and Riddle Joker progress, their next release might be Riddle Joker seeing that they decided to not port it to another engine unlike Hello Lady, although of course it can be change again. For Nine Episode 3, this time the heroine is Haruka who is known as upperclassman heroines for Kakeru. As for the premise, this time Kakeru decided to infiltrate the rival group in that he suspect that one of the member might be the culprit behind the petrification case that was happened in the town. While at first the love between Kakeru and Haruka seem impossible because both of them are in opposite position, turned out that it can be happen there. Other than Kakeru x Haruka romance, this episode also reveal a lot of thing that was relevant in Nine and also the preparation for the finale at next episode (Which turned out might be not the finale seeing that Palette teased us for Episode 5 at 9th later). There's also some bugs happened in the translated version, namely that there's a CG that can't be displayed in the CG mode and some untranslated test, although it's more or less minor though (Not like I expect Sekai will fix those quickly anyway). Go get Nine Episode 3 if you've been like it since the first two episodes (Perhaps because of the arts that are quite beautiful), and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review and I'm sorry for being late here. See you next week. PS - For this week title, seeing that we have Nine Episode 3 as Sekai's big release I decided to make seiyuu (VA) joke like my past VNTS Review when two parts of Nine are released. After 'Hoshizora Miyako' and 'Kamijou Sora', this time we have 'Yoshikawa Haruka' as the parody of the heroine of Nine Episode 3 (Kousaka Haruka). Of course 'Yoshikawa' here is the VA joke in question, in that it's from Yoshikawa Yuko of Hibike Euphonium and that the character share same VA as Haruka (Yamaoka Yuri). As for both of Yuko and Haruka. the only similarities that I can say is that both of them are the upperclassman characters for the MC of the respective works (Kumiko and Kakeru) and that both of the characters at first are more or less at odds with the main characters (Haruka is more serious though).1 point -
Bern Mirage Sessions Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (09/13/2020) Surprisingly Zakamutt was very quick with this week VNTS, so let me straight to the point with my late VNTS Review here and I'll tell about the title at PS. For this week, the most obvious big news here would be Hypno Kickstarter (KS) in that it's started back at 8th and already funded. Other than that, there's some fan translation updates and several releases announcements, although none of those are interesting to me though. I think what I can say about this week would be quite a calm one, although Hypno's KS itself is quite interesting update to me. Let's see what i can write for this week as well. For the first updates, we have two news in regard of otome VNs release date. For the first news it's in regard of Taisho x Alice Episode 2, in that the release date of it was decided to moved up from October to 18th later, so if you want to date handsome Kaguya and Gretel then you can note the date. While for the other news, it's about the delay of the release in that Piofiore was delayed from 10th to October 8th later so if you already looking forward to Piofiore it mean that you need to wait a bit longer. Speaking about release date, we also have Sekai announced the exact release date for Nekopara 4 as well in that it'll be at November 26th later and they also already opened the Steam store for that. And we also have new VN annunced in that Cherry Kiss did announce that they'll release yet another isekai nukige with the name Monster Girl Breeder at 19th later, so if you want to see an isekai story when you'll breed a lot of monster girl then you can wait until 19th later. The editing for Eustia was caught up with the translation progress in that currently it's at 95.57% edited with the translation number was slightly up with the current progress was at 95.60% translated with side routes was at 71.46% translated, Harugi's Branch route was at 84% translated, Loverable was at 90.56% edited, Nursery Rhyme was at 36% re-edited, Miotsukushi Ura was at 41% edited, and Reflection Blue was fully translated along with at 10.16% edited. For more elaboration on Reflection Blue, currently Alka have been reworking 10.6% of the original Summer Pockets so it could still take a while before the release for Reflection Blue full patch even though it's been already fully translated. Other than Alka manage to fully translated Reflection Blue (Summer Pockets new contents for the reminder), no much to say in regard of fan translation section so that's all for this week fan translation updates roundup. As for Hypno's KS, like I said it's been already started and currently it's been already successful with the base goal was at 13,200,000 yen with the funds that they currently gather is at ~16,200,000 yen. So currently they tried to get some stretch goals, in that the highest goal will be worked on later if the funding reach 39,600,000 yen. For the Hypno itself, the setting itself is quite dark with human souls are easily usable as fuel for demon's weapons although our focus here is obviously not on human though, but rather the demon that would happen on the civil war after the biggest nation (Varganian) declare the war to conquer whole Helvetia (The world name in Hypno). You can try the demo first if you want to find out about the gameplay, and if you didn't like tentacle you can try all age version because 18+ version trial have two sex scenes with tentacle. They already estimate the release timeline for Hypno as well in that it'll be at December 2021, which to say pretty reasonable if you recall Frontier was released one year after it's KS at December 2019 and that Hypno story is 1.5 times linger than Frontier from what Keimaru (The director of Ninetail) said. That's all for my VNTS Review at this week, and see you next week. PS - As for the title, I decided to parodied Tokyo Mirage Sessions because this week we have Hypno Kickstarted and that the place setting is the world call Helvetia. Helvetia itself is actually the national personification of Switzerland and Switzerland capital is Bern, and so I change 'Tokyo' into 'Bern' seeing that Tokyo here is Japan's capital. As for Tokyo Mirage Session itself actually it's crossover of Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei, and so I likened Venus Blood with Fire Emblem seeing that both of those are strategy games even though it have different gameplay (And Tokyo Mirage Sessions itself is more like normal RPG than strategy games).1 point -
Kisaragi Gold Flowers Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Because of Flowers Autumn release and that I already said that I'll combined Saga Planets season VNs with 'Flowers', we have 'Kisaragi Gold Flowers' as this week VNTS Review and obviously I parodied Kisaragi Gold Star in that it represent autumn. For a bit more translation note, we can also translate Kisaragi as 'like the moon' with one of the kanji writing have 'moon' kanji. For on how it have the connection with autumn, it's from Japanese culture in that one of their autumn tradition is moon viewing. While at first I didn't know if Niijima Yuu think about that when he made Kisaragi Gold Star title, after see the CG that depict the group in Kisaragi did moon viewing on rooftop I can say that he think about the moon connection with autumn when he made the title. Anyway as for this week other than Flowers Autumn release, we also have both of Nekonyan and Mangagamer gave us a number of updates. There's also fan translation updates as well, so overall I can say that this week is quite active. Let's see what I can write for this week as well. We have Sol Press did update that currently they have Sakura Celebration was at 83% edited, and what I can say is that on how much their progress on Irotoridori in regard of the engine works recently. In any case I just hope that Sol Press will have smooth release on Irotoridori, which to say might be easier said than done considering that Bokuten was banned (Granted that turned out the file still have some 18+ CG, but still quite enough for a wake up call). Other than that, there's Eden's Ritter release in that it's the first release from Shira VN when it come to nukige (And a dark one at that). What I can say is that if you like dark nukige with big breast heroines (Same developer as Funbag for the info), go get the VN and have fun. For Photonmelodies (Another Muv Luv fandisc after Photonflowers), I guess I can say that you can get it if you want to see more Muv Luv and more importantly want to see the epilogue of Alternative from Altered Fable so have fun with that. Sekai did delayed Rewrite+ release from November 2020 to January 2021, which to say not surprising at all. Although if the delay mean that Sekai would willing to hasten their interesting VNs releases such as Harukuru, Nine Episode 3, and Daybreak then I don't mind the delay lol. That said it mean more waiting for Rewrite fans, so hopefully they'll be able to get around the delay somehow (I still think that Rewrite+ release is redundant one though). From Mangagamer, we have updates from their secret projects in that the 4th was both fully translated and edited, the 6th was at 64% translated along with 62% edited, the 7th was fully translated along with 88% edited, and the 3rd was currently in testing with both of translation and editing progress are finished. For other updates, we have Sona-Nyl Refrain was past three quarter (76%) translated, Sukehime was in testing, Rance 02 was finished the testing, and Musicus was fully translated and edited with image editing for that was currently ongoing. From fan translation we have Eustia was at 92.98% translated with side routes was past halfway (54.43%) translated, 15,267 lines of Pure x Connect are translated along with 8,289 lines are edited, Loverable was at 89.5% edited, Harugi was at 58% traslated with Branch route was at 42% translated, and Ginharu overall was at 65.84% translated with Yuzuki's route was at 21.46% translated. We also have Alka manage to translated more than halfway (51.5%) of Reflection Blue with Shizuku's route was fully translated and Miki's route was at 67.1% translated, although it didn't mean that they'll directly release the patch as soon as it finished though (ie no August or September release) because Alka still need to get through several process before releasing Reflection Blue patch. Lastly we have Alka did inform that they'll release Miagete FD patch at first weeks of August, so let's see if they can release it at this month later. While I did expect that Nekonyan will release Hello Lady next at this year, turned out that IxShe Tell is more likely to be Nekonyan's next release because currently it's at 70% in QC while Hello Lady was at halfway in QC (By the way IxShe Tell was already fully translated and edited). There's also the fact that Hello Lady engine was currently being worked on by the developer, so perhaps we must wait for a while before the release. For the rest of Nekonyan's update, we have both of their secret project and Melty Moment was at 35% translated, Aokana Extra 1 was at 90% translated along with halfway edited, Kirikoi was at 85% translated along with 45% edited, and lastly we have Riddle Joker was at 90% for both of translation and editing progress along with 35% in QC. As for Flowers Autumn, the premise is still in regard of GL story with the MC for this time is Yuzuhira who about to be graduated from Saint Angrecaum school and that she still have some regret even when she's about to handing her position as student president council to Suoh (Flowers Spring MC). In order to resolve the regret, Yuzuriha decided to ask some help from her best friend since childhood Nerine who may or may not become her lover in the future. With this it mean that we already have three quarter of Flowers tetralogy being translated, and looks like it'll be right that JAST took two years to release each part of the tetralogy. While granted that we still didn't know when exactly JAST will announce Flowers Winter, it should be obvious that JAST will take the license of if they want a complete tetralogy barring some special circumstances. In any case if you want to see more Flowers, you can get it from either JAST store or Steam and have fun. Oh and even though this is the third part of the tetralogy, the VN itself is still complete enough so you can play it right now if you worry about whether you should wait for Flowers Winter or not. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
If My Heart Had Stars: Observation Diary Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (08/23/2020) Before going to my VNTS Review for this week, let me try to comment on Zakabox at VNTS below. For Evenicle 2 demo censorship, let's just say that both Twitter and Steam did have a lot of complain in regard of the censorship. Also surprisingly 4chan was quite reasonable at this time, which is good to me because I find that some comments in regard of censorship are quite out of control. The sex scene that was cut is plot relevant, with Alex marrying his first wife (Kano) at 13 years old through sex so I guess the reason for the cut is quite reasonable seeing that Steam may ban Evenicle 2 trial if the scene is still there if we look back at Bokuten. Not caring much about Chinkamo other than it have cute and sexy little sisters lol, although I guess it's nice to see the Japanese play word. Nice to see that finally people can get Loca Love 2 legally from another source (JAST and Fakku) other than Frontwing physical copy which surely would be quite difficult to get even though it also contain English translation (No idea why 4chan didn't add that little bit of very important information, but I guess they too busy with cancelled Steam version). Rest in peace to Akagoei translation project, or if you prefer Latin then Requiescat in pace to Akagoei translation project. After I know that the writer is Kinugasa and some of the reviews did state that he like to not end his VN properly, my interest to get Akagoei is plummeted to almost none. Also I agree in that after several examples I can say that unspecified 'technical difficulties' in fan translation could be use as euphemism for going official, although nowadays it's rare to see that kind of status in fan translation. Agree that it's pretty awkward to have FD uncensored and yet the main game is still censored as of now (Thanks to Pulltop's hard and unnecessary works), and if anything else at least I can say that if Pulltop ever want to localize Miagete FD then I would say that it's one of their best decision lol (Obviously because it'll be a redundant and censored (Of course) release). Anyway with my relatively long comment on Zakabox done, welcome to this week VNTS Review. As for this week while technically we didn't have updates from both of Mangagamer and Sekai it more than make up with some releases, controversies, and the updates. The controversies here is obviously in regard of Evenicle 2 demo release which come with the censorship and all, and while for the release we have Miagete FD in that finally Alka manage to resolve their patch breaking bug at Hinamin's route. We also have two new VNs announcement, in that both of those are can be classified as moege (Chinkamo and Loca Love Volume 3). Let's get to see what I can write for this week here, and I'll tell the title at PS later. While Evenicle 2 trial release is good and that actually the gameplay is not much changed along with the writing, unfortunately it's overshadowed with controversy. Namely that it still have mosaic and one cut content. While mosaic is not too much problem to me, unfortunately cut content is another matter especially when it depict Alex's (The MC) first marriage. While at first it's quite worrisome, at least Alicesoft here did say that they'll try to search for the other storefront that would accept the uncensored version of Evenicle 2 if possible. One of the most possible store at this moment is Mangagamer, in that it's their previous partner for the overseas release. Granted that we can say that their relation is worsening, although looking from on how Alicesoft stated that Mangagamer still handle Rance, I would say that perhaps the relationship wouldn't be as bad as some people said. Anyway what we can do now is that we can only wait and see whether Alicesoft can released their promised uncensored version or not, and I hope that they'll be able to do it. Go get Evenicle 2 trial though if you want to try it and not bothered by censorship, and have fun. Congratulation to Alka in regard of their Miagete FD release, although unfortunately the main VN is still not uncensored. As for the release, I would say that it should be good if one want to see more of Miagete casts if you liking Miagete. Although my policy in regard of FD is still the same though in that I wouldn't interested with it and moreso it would be pretty awkward to have the FD uncensored while the main game is still censored, and speaking about that unfortunately Alka was too busy so they wouldn't have the chance to take care of decensoring Miagete (At least they'll facilitate anyone who want to do some decensoring effort if anything else). Still you can get the patch if you want to see more Miagete or somehow want to see the sex scenes after playing Miagete censored edition (Well at least it's pretty much the point of FD I suppose) or just want to play some additional new short routes, and have fun. With two works that have two different types of censorship decision was released at this week (Well one of those are only the FD of the censored work), I guess it would be proper to try discuss a bit about that. As for Evenicle 2 censorship, the controversy here is like Baldr Sky in that back then it's more uncertain when it come to the uncensored version. I also says something like that I'm hoping that GIGA would make some replacement scenes for the Steam version, although of course back then I'm not exactly expect that Sekai will make Baldr Sky all age only thanks to GIGA's pressure. Back to Evenicle 2, while I did say pointless anger back at Baldr Sky Steam announcement at least this time I can say that the anger is not pointless in that they manage to pressure Alicesoft to state in regard of cut content and mosaic (Although to me the anger in regard of mosaic is very pointless). While some people can say that it's too late and it's just an attempt to save face, I would say that to me Alicesoft here is already better compared to Sekai when they silent about Baldr Sky censorship for more than three years, and more importantly Pulltop in that there's never any attempt to acknowledge the censorship from them in the first place even after several instances of critics. I think that's all for my take on the censorship, at least for now. For some other updates, we have Frontwing released the trial for Loca Love Volume 3 that was somehow under the radar thanks to Evenicle 2 trial release controversy. As for the plan, I guess it's almost certain that they'll release the English version alongside Japanese version at September 25th later although obviously it'll be in physical version. No word in regard of selling it to another store, but at least Frontwing most likely will sell it to the same store at when they sell Loca Love 2 and of course it wouldn't be at Steam. Somehow I manage to forgot Taisho x Alice Episode 2 in the past so let me say that the plan was to release it at October later, and no you didn't need to worry about the bad translation and one man dub because Verdilish is still the one who responsible for the translation. We also have Love Lab have some progress with Humbling of Holy Maiden was at 90% translated, their secret project was fully translated along with 80% edited, and that they announced little sister moege (Most likely nukige) Chinkamo (Apparently not the secret project). No much comment other than at least the two sisters are quite cute and sexy I suppose. From fan translation, we have Mitosukushi Ura was at 93% translated, Taimanin Yukikaze 2 was fully translated, Harugi's Branch was at 72% translated, and Eustia was at 95.15% translated (Almost there) with side routes was at 68.54% translated. After one week break, this week we have Ginharu update again with currently Yuzuki's route was past a quarter (30.62%) translated and overall Ginharu was at 67.24% translated. Lastly other than Miagete FD release we also have Alka updating their Reflection Blue progress, and currently Shiki's route was past three quarter (78.2%) translated with overall Reflection Blue was at 80.9% translated. About Mimei, to be honest I just know it back at last week so I can't say much more other than it's another Shiba Satomi VN with her more well known work is True Remembrance. Speaking about True Remembrance, there's a new patch that import 3DS version graphic into PC version along with some exclusive contents, so if you prefer 3DS graphic of True Remembrance than get the patch and have fun. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - As for the title, I did repeated my past VNTS Review title here which is quite fitting seeing that we have Miagete FD released. For the reminder, I did parodied Konosora English title that was censored by Pulltop (If My Heart Had Wings) and I changed 'Wings' into 'Stars' (Of course the FD here didn't have censorship problem). I also parodied Konosora FD title, in that I changed 'Flight' into 'Observation' which obviously not make the initial as FD like Pulltop always do at their FD. As for observation part other than watching the stars like Miagete casts did, it also could mean that a process where the doctor keep watching the patient progress in that it obviously fit Evenicle 2 in that the gameplay also focused on how Alex curing the disease that his wives have.1 point -
Executive Screaming Show Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Visual Novel Translation Status (08/16/2020) Foreword - Since we have VNTS at the main page, I'd add the link like usual above and therefore technically I made an early VNTS Review. As for Mimei, I would say that it really slipped past my radar so I'll try to talk about it at next VNTS Review, although I don't know much though other than it's written by True Remembrance author. As for the title, well I just combined the role that the heroine have from the nukige that was released by Cherry Kiss back at 14th (Bitchy Boss Bimbofication, which to say quite an unique localized name) in that the heroine is being an executive in the company and that the MC didn't like the heroine along with Gore Screaming Show that suddenly show some progress, so we have 'Executive Screaming Show' as this week VNTS Review. As for this week, let me blunt in that this week is quite dry seeing that we only have some updates from fan translation along with two smaller release, and it's just too bad that there's no Otakon thanks to an obvious reason (Pandemic). While I did say that the releases is only small releases, I'm sure that some people like the releases so at least I can still say that some people may found this week update is interesting. With that done, let's see what I can write for this week as well. For the aforementioned Cherry Kiss release, once again it's pretty obvious that the release is a nukige. As for the premise, we have our MC was being pressured by his female boss who work as an executive and quite unpleasant to the MC. Although of course being the nukige the MC have the way to reverse the situation, namely that he'll hypnotized his boss into a woman who like to have a lot of sex. So easy to say that there'll be a lot of the MC have sex with his female boss. Go get the VN from either Cherry Kiss or Steam, and have fun. We also have Collar x Malice Unlimited release was advanced from 21st to 13th, and obviously it's Collar x Malice fandisc. Not much to say because it's a fandisc of an otome VN that was only available at the console (And to this day there's still no PC version of Collar x Malice), but if you fans of Collar x Malice who own Nintendo Switch and want to see more of it then go get the VN and have fun. If anything else, at least I can say that Collar x Malice MC is quite good looking. As for this week fan translation updates, let's see one by one. For Eustia, currently it's been at 94.43% translated with side routes was at 63.85% translated, and we also have some progress in the editing as well with the current progress was at 93.76% edited with side stories was past halfway (59.53%) edited. After a week break thanks to Trip being busy with the moving, we have Ginharu progress with Yuzuki's route was at 24.45% translated and for the overall it was at 66.3% translated. For Harugi, currently Branch route was at 65% translated. We also have Alka finishing the translation on Miki's route and currently they continuing work on Shiki's route, so currently Reflection Blue translation progress was past three quarter (75.4%) translated with Shiki's route was past halfway (58.8%) translated. For the rest of the updates, we have 15,982 lines from Pure x Connect were translated, Miotsukushi Ura was at 89% translated, and Gore Screaming Show was showing some sudden activities with current progress was at 15.59% translated. That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry if it's been too short here. See you next week.1 point -

Phantom Trigger no Rakuen Vol. 1 Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
As for this week title since we have Phantom Trigger Volume 7 was released by Frontwing and that it's supposed to be the finale, I decided to just combined Phantom Trigger with the last part of Grisaia trilogy (So-called) so that we have 'Phantom Trigger no Rakuen'. As for 'Vol. 1' part, turned out that the ending was sort of ended in a cliffhanger and will continue in the next chapter hence 'Vol. 1' as the subtitle. As for this week, other than Phantom Trigger Volume 7 release we have a lot of interesting updates especially from fan translation section, and more importantly we finally have Rhapsody's full patch being released in that it mean now we have three Eushully VNs did properly translated. So overall I guess I can say that this week is quite interesting one, and let's see what I can write for this week. Cherry Kiss did release My Creampie Heaven nukige back at Friday, and turned out that it have three VNs that was bundled into one release. Furthermore, it also turned out that the MC did have different love interests at each VN even though the premise is exactly the same. It's not like it would make a difference anyway in that it's not interesting nukige to me, but you can get that if you like it and have fun. Speaking about nukige release, JAST also did release Shoujo Dominance in that the premise is telling the story about the daughter who have some Electra Complex towards the father (Our MC). What I can comment is that the main heroine design was looking more like a strict office lady instead of a high school student, although perhaps I'm getting used to see cute schoolgirl in VNs though. I never think that the writer may already envisioned the story between MC and his wife only to change it to forbidden love between father and daughter, and that the designer already finished the design for the wife heroine and they ran out of time. You can get Shoujo Dominance from JAST if you want to play that short nukige, and have fun. Alicesoft decided to released the demo for Evenicle 2 at August 17th later, which obviously coincidence with my independence day. No much to say other than I look forward on how much that the demo will show the gameplay and story, and more importantly whether Alicesoft will be able to release Evenicle 2 at this year or not. As for Phantom Trigger Volume 7, once again turned out that the ending was ended in cliffhanger so we must wait for one more chapter before the finale. That said, the cliffhanger was apparently not as bad as Meikyuu though so at least you can play this if you want. In any case you can play it if you want to see Phantom Trigger team preparation for the final battle, and have fun. As for the Volume 8 release, we may have it longer so I expect that the development time will take some time in that it might take more than a year. For fan translation updates we have Harugi was at 57% translated with Branch route was at 32% translated with Sumika's route was at 7% translated, Taimanin Yukikaze 2 was at 90% translated, Loverable was at 89.44% edited, Reflection Blue was at 40.7% translated with Miki's route was at 44.6% translated and Shizuku's route was past three quarter (77.2%) translated, and Eustia was at 92.45% translated with side routes was past halfway (51.01%) translated along with the editing progress almost catching up was at 91.65% edited. We also have sudden translated demo for Shukufuku no Campanella. As for Campanella itself, it's Windmill VN which mean that the VN usually did have fantasy setting, and Campanella here is no exception (My experience here is more with Sankaime though, in that while it's more modern it's still end up like fantasy VN). I don't know whether the translator will eventually translate the whole VN or not, but I hope he will seeing that a Windmill VN in English is good especially with Sol Press withdrawing from VN translation business. Lastly we finally have full patch of Kami no Rhapsody, and with this we have another Eushully VN being translated. The team also did announce their next Eushully VN project, and in this case it's Fuukan no Grasesta or I'll just call it as Grasesta. As for Rhapsody itself, more or less you should expect Kamidori when it come to the MC seeing that he can recruit several people to help him thanks to his mysterious charisma. Of course you shouldn't focused much on story anyway if we talk about Eushully VN, but rather the gameplay. As for the gameplay, at least I can say that it's quite balanced enough on the first playthrough, although if you go to the post game dungeon beware though that it's not quite balanced. Granted that Kamidori also did have the same problem as well, but at least I can say that Kamidori here is still somewhat balanced in the post game dungeon. That said it's been a while since we have Eushully VN with proper translation, so feel free to try it and have fun. Lastly let me say that I'll look forward to Grasetsa progress later, and that I'm still waiting for Amayui full patch. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week.1 point -
Ritter Chronicles Review
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week I combined 'Ritter' from Eden's Ritter and 'Chronicle' from Evenicle 2 so we have 'Ritter Chronicles' as this week VNTS Review because we have those two announced. Another reason for the title is that I parodied Valkyria Chronicles, in that apparently both that game and Eden's Ritter have the setting place on German although it's very loose at that (In Valkryria Chronicles Germany was supposed to be an imperial). As for this week, what I can say that it's quite an exciting one with all of the announcements and updates that happen here, while at the same time I don't think that the release is not as big as the announcements that we have. In any case, let's see what I can write for this week as well. Back at last Friday we have Sekai give some updates, and for the updates we have Slobbish Princess was at 90% translated (I guess Sekai really aim for simultaneous release), Kimagure was at 60% translated, Nekopara 4 was fully translated along with halfway edited, and Nine Episode 3 was fully translated and edited and currently they started the QA (Hopefully it mean that Sekai will release it at this year). From Sol Press we have Nukitashi was at 26% edited, and Irotoridori was fully edited with the current progress was move into programming (I just hope that Sol Press will find a way to get around FAVORITE pesky engine). From JAST we have two exact release date announcements which obviously very good, and for the releases we have Shoujo Dominance release will be at tomorrow (22nd) and Flowers Autumn release will be at 30th later. What I can say is that JAST should be announce Flowers Winter as the last part of tetralogy if they want a complete release, although when they'll announce it I don't know. Fan Translation For the update of fan translation section, it's in regard of Matsuribayashi in that finally we have the patch that will add both of PS3 graphic and voices to the Steam version of it (The post if you want to download the patch). So if you want to play the original finale of Higurashi and yet you prefer to wait because the graphic is not quite up to nowadays standard, you can play it and have fun. With this now we have the original Higrashi available with voices and PS3 art, and all that left is the side stories which currently being worked on. Speaking about Higurashi side story, currently we have Miotsukushi Ura was at 71% translated. For the next plan, apparently they'll release the patch along with new fragments from PS3 version at September later, so let's wait and see. For the rest of the updates from fan translation, we finally have Majikoi A-4 starting the translation with 8 out of 62 scripts was translated, 14,945 lines of Pure x Connect are translated along with 7,808 lines are edited, Loverable was at 89.13% edited, Taimanin Yukikaze 2 was at 85% translated, and Ginharu was at 65% translated with Yuzuki's route was at 15.94% translated. Lastly, we have surprise update from Harugi in that finally we have some progress on Branch after more than half a year, and with new updates currently we have it was at 56% translated with Branch route was at 20% translated along with some updates on Branch heroine routes as well (Misaki's route was at 4% translated, Sumika's route was at 6% translated, and Yuna's route was at 5% translated). From Alka we have an unfortunate news, in that they need to delay Miagete FD release because they need to resolve some game breaking bug that was apparently happened in Hinami's route. No much to say other hopefully they'll be able to get around this and manage to have this released. We also have Reflection Blue translation was going smoothly with the current progress was already past a quarter (26.9%) translated with Umi's route was fully translated, and they started to work on Miki's route in which currently it's been at 9.4% translated along with they also have some progress with Shizuku's route with the progress was past halfway (54.2%) translated. That's all for fan translation section here. Other We have Trap Legend release, in that it could be summarized as BL VN with the hero dressed in a very cute outfit. Not exactly my interest here, but if you like BL or trap heroes (I prefer trap MC with the heroines) or perhaps both feel free to get the VN and have fun. We have a surprise announcement from Shira VN in that they manage to get a dark nukige from Waffle which as we know is one of Mangagamer's partner, and the dark nukige in question is Eden's Ritter. As for the premise, we have a cowardly priestess who decided to draw out the power in order to fight the evil and the power was supposed to be very strong. Although of course there's a catch to the power, in that the power will cause the priestess to be quite horny the longer she surge with power, and obviously the enemy will took the advantage of it causing the dark sex scenes which to say will be quite a lot. We also have the release date for this, and it'll be at 31st later. Fruitbat announced the VN that was supposed to be the last work that was translated by the late Conjueror, and the VN in question is turned out to be Jiangshi x Daoshi in which it's a doujin VN with the place setting was at China. The premise is gong like we have MC who work as an assassin who already retired, and one day he encountered a man eating monster. Luckily he was saved by a mysterious wandering dao priestess, and from there both of them are supposed to work together in order to facing some unknown hardship. Currently we have the first and second episode available at Steam, and the third episode will be available in the future at this year. For the info, this VN was previously banned in Steam because of some violent scene or something like that. Feel free to try the VN if you interested, and have fun. Other than Waffle, we also have another Mangagamer's partner decided to change the partner in order to release the translated VN by themselves, and the partner in question is Alicesoft. As for release, it's Evenicle 2 in that it's been one of the VN that people been wanted to translate the most (At least if we look at Mangagamer 2019 survey result). Alicesoft also assure us in that while they decided to localize Evenicle 2 by themselves, Mangagamer still responsible for Rance VNs release in the future. What I can say about Evenicle 2 here would be while I did say that we didn't really need for the sequel seeing that Evenicle is complete enough, I'm still interested with it if only for more gameplay VN and more importantly more Alicesoft VNs. The premise is like we have a MC (Alex) who instead aspired to be knight in order to marry his two childhood friendlike Aster, Alex himself is someone who have blessing to be able to cure someone with a deadly disease through his body fluid and decided to start the journey in order to help more people. For the plan, Alicesoft will release the demo that will cover up to Chapter 1 at Steam later in the following weeks, so for now we can only wait in regard of this. That's all for this week VNTS Review and sorry for being late here. See you next week.1 point -
Silver Colored Faraway Track 5 - Lieder ohne Worte of an Elder Brother and a Younger Sister
masster_auron reacted to littleshogun for a blog entry
Because we have Yuzuki's route of Ginharu finally being worked, I decided to use the title 'Silver Colored Farway' for the title and of course since it's the fifth time I use it I add 'Track 5'. For the rest, of course it's from one of Kanon 2006 episode title and in this case it's episode 17 (Lieder ohne Worte of an Elder Sister and a Younger Sister), and I'll explain the title at PS later. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week I can say that it's sort of break after a number of announcements from the last week, although of course it's by no mean a plain week because other than Yuzuki's route being worked on we also have Reflection Blue update along with significant increase in Eustia editing progress. We also have Macchiato release, although in this case it's looks like a usual moege though. Overall I think I can say that this week is quite good, and let's see what I can write for this week as well. We have Fakku stated that they already at around 40 to 50% in regard of Abaddon translation progress, which at least it's good for them. I know that it's turned out to be a gameplay VN and a hard one at that, although I'll just say that I still wouldn't interested with it because of the disturbing contents. That said, I hope that they'll manage to release it at this year. We also have Lilith-soft released Taimanin Yukikaze demo for Steam, and they gathered controversy because turned out that they apparently stole the available fan translation. Well it's a redundant release anyway. Also I'm sure that there'll be no sequel available for Steam because the sequel did have Yukikaze infiltrate the school, and we know on how the first Asagi was banned by Valve because of school setting (Not because the amount of rape). From Cherry Kiss, we have another nukige (My Creampie Heaven) release was planned at this year, and apparently it's an old nukige. And finally we have a new VN exact release date announcement (Trap Legend) in that it'll be released at 17th later, so if you like trap than you can look forward to it. Currently we have Humbling of Holy Maiden was halfway in programming, and also we have the secret project from Love Lab in which it's currently was at 30% translated along with 20% edited. About Macchiato, I think I can say that it's more or less a VN with catgirls only that the MC was apparently less lucky. And that so-called luckless MC did somehow manage to have three lovers with all of those are catgirls, and the problem is that the MC can only choose one. So in order to solve the problem, the MC decided to do his best to get around of his situation. Well you better enjoy the sex scenes with the cute graphic because this is a nukige, and you just need to know that the MC also run the cafe as well just like the title said. You can get Macchiato if you've been interested with it, and have fun. Too bad that this time Mangagamer didn't announced their next month release, although I guess they already planned Room No. 9 as their August release. For fan translation updates, first of all we have Miotsukushi Ura was at 65% translated and Loverable was at 88.3% translated. For Eustia, right now we have the script was at 91.20% translated (Side stories was at 42.87% translated) along with the editing was catching up at 90.68% edited (Side stories was at 39.54% edited). As for Reflection Blue, currently we have Shizuku's route was at 16% translated and Umi's route was past halfway (52.6%) translated (Looks like they'll focusing on Umi's route first seeing that it's quite short), and currently the overall script was at 9.9% translated. For the number of lines, turned out that Reflection Blue line count was at around halfway from the original VN so we can say that it's at around two third translated for rough estimation. Last but not the least we have Tsurezure did start translating Yuzuki's route, and currently the progress is that overall Ginharu was at 63.93% translated with Yuzuki's route was at 5.4% translated. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - As for Kanon 2006 episode 17, the story is about the fractured relationship between Shiori and Kaori who is younger and older sister respectively. Of course we'll not going to have two sister in Ginharu, but rather brother (Yukito) and sister (Yuzuki) even though they're not blood related. Lieder ohne Worte itself is a series of short lyrical piano pieces and it mean 'Songs Without Words', which it's quite fitting for Yukito and Yuzuki seeing that the song was composed by the composer himself with some help from his younger sister.1 point -

Prelude of the Festival Review

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and as for this week let me blunt that this week is pretty much a dry one seeing that almost no companies have the updates (I know that we have Kimikoi Steam version and Utawarerumono remake release today, but I decided to talk about those two at next VNTS Review). That said we have Aksys give us the release date for their three console otome VNs, so at least there's something to look forward if you've been otome VN fan. Other than that, at least we have some fan translation updates here so it's not too bad here. In any case, I'll hope that we'll going to have more interesting updates at the next week. Let's see what I can write for this week, even though this week would be a short one. For Aksys otome VNs release date, we have Collar x Malice Unlimited release date at August 21st later. For the rest of the two, we have Piofore release date at September 10th and Enchante at November 13th later. No much comment other than it's nice of Aksys to manage to released all of the three otome VNs as promised back when they announced those at AX 2019, so good for them. Speaking about AX, I wonder if we'll going to have both of Mangagamer and Sekai reveal their license directly at July beginning later in exchange of the absence of this year AX, so I guess for now I can only say that I'll see if they can do it later. Right now we have a sudden new project, and the new project goal in question is to translate the nukige Taimainin Yukikaze 2 in which it's the sequel of the first VN and the sequel here is blatantly make the majority of the first game event as non-canon by having the heroines still not experienced their first time yet (And yes I play the first VN so I know exactly on how the story goes). For the progress currently we have the partial patch released in which it translate Yukikaze's route, and for the overall translation progress it's been at halfway translated. For the rest of the updates, we have Eustia was at 89.21% translated with side route was at almost 30% (29.97%) translated, Kud Wafter all age version was at 32.14% translated, and Miagete FD was at 63.74% translated with Korona's route was fully translated. Lastly we have Miotsukushi Ura was put on hold because the team did prepare for Matsuribayashi mod, and currently they've been working at Connecting Fragments section which in turn it's quite long seeing that they apparently add the new fragments that available for PS3 version with the current progress was at a quarter translated. I guess that's all for fan translation here. That's all for this week VNTS Review, and sorry if it's been too short here. See you next week. PS - As for the title seeing that we have Matsuribayashi release back at 14th and Utawarerumono remake today, I decided to join 'Matsuri' along with 'Prelude to the Fallen' so we have 'Prelude to the Festival' as this week VNTS Review title (TL Note: Matsuri mean festival).1 point -

Nursery Rhyme Translation Project

Sorry for the lack of updates~ I just graduated from college so I would be able to put more time on this. My old editor died and I recently just found new editor for the project. Bad news is, he will start from scratch to keep wordings consistent. Also the word wrap is broken and it could use some help. And wow it's been 4 years already, thank you for sticking with me and my snail progress.1 point -
