Here's my very belated comment on the video. Anyway, while most of the voters has similar taste when it come to the VN, there are definitely some differences although whether it's influenced by the translation or not is another can of worm. Granted the way to observe the scores are different (Median for Erogamescape vs average for VNDB), although there shouldn't be much difference when it come to median and average in Erogamescape as long as the number of votes is sufficient enough. Also out of all 150 titles, currently we have around two third of it are translated, which comparing to when the video was made there are some new inclusion, such as Mashiro Iro and Hatsuyuki Sakura. Well, that's all for what I can write in regard of the video.

Been playing Yamizome Liberator seeing that it's now available in English, and now that we have Mangagamer is about to release Ixseal (Which I've neen waiting for it) maybe I'll comment on both later, seeing both VNs are more or less the same with both being gameplay VNs with the objective to have sex with the magical girls.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, because we have Tayutama announced with its full title is 'Tayutama -Kiss on My Deity-' along with Sacrifice Villain finally released, I decided to make Boku no Hero Academia English title parody (My Hero Academia) because Sacrifice Villain setting is very clearly Boku no Hero Academia setting, so we have 'My Deity Academia' as the title. As for this week, the most obvious things here would be it was less plain compared to the last two weeks. To elaborate more, this week we have Shiravune being active with them released two of their title and announce one of new title. There's also the aforementioned Tayutama announcement, although I can't exactly say that I like the announcement. Overall this week is an average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. I did mention that I like to see Tayutama available in English, and my reaction is initially interested after a sudden announcement from a new company decided to bring it into English. However, turned out there's a catch, namely there won't be sex scenes because the publisher also release it on Switch. While granted Tayutama main attraction is not the sex scenes, it's still too bad there won't be translated sex scenes, which is more like Kiminozo or Yoake (Because the fan translator for the latter chose the PS2 backport that had two additional routes in exchange of the sex scenes). Anyway, for Tayutama it's about Yuuri who suddenly met a mysterious girl Mashiro which turned out to be the deity, and Yuuri's life start to change from there. Well, it's more or less a charage, and it'll be released sometimes in this Spring. Oh yes, you can see the Steam store for Tayutama if you want to see some of its translation example. We have Nagi no Koi is now available on Steam, and as it turned out Shinzou Translation did involve in the official translation of it. Well no much to say other than it's redundant release to me, although feel free to get Nagi no Koi from Steam if you want to support the developer with the money (For the info the developer did initially release this as free game). Speaking of redundant release, Nekonyan announced they already have the release estimation time for Koichoco, and they said it'll be available sometimes in Q1 of 2025 (Up to March 31st later) with they already opened the Steam store for it. Again it's redundant release to me, but at least the Steam version should be easier to install seeing it's quite cumbersome to install the original game. We also have Alka gave sudden update in regard of Kud Wafter, and for the update currently we have the all age version of it is at 87.5% translated. Shiravune announced ExS-Tia Concerto 2 with the premise is still the same with the prequel only with the story focused on the other magical girl, Touka. With Shiravune announced its second game even before released the first game, perhaps they may aim for simultaneous release. Also by them announced its second game, I hope they also announced the third and fourth game as well if only to complete the whole tetralogy. They also released Ochingin, in which it's about the MC who have a lot of sex thanks to him have the sugar mommy of a CEO. Lastly, they finally released Sacrifice Villains after almost three years of waiting (The longest record for Shiravune for now) with the artist is the one responsible for Healthy Hentai nukige series. For the premise, it's about the MC who was tasked to rehabilitate three super villainess in setting. However, the way of the MC carry the task is not exactly very heroic, seeing the MC apply a lot of love into the villainess in the forceful manner with several ways. Anyway, feel free to get Sacrifice Villain if you like the art from Healthy Hentai and want to see more of it in this superhero parody nukige, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Anime of the Year 2024-III Summer - Make Heroine ga Oosugiru!
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Alya - The author clearly realized that have the MC Masachika understand Russian language that Alya used would get stale quickly, so the author understandably mix some plot about student council election. I can only say the result is definitely successful seeing the author manage to drag the election plot up until volume 9 with it is still ongoing, and of course the author add more drama in Masachika family just to make it even more dramatic (And dragging even more). Honestly not the kind of plot that I would expect from the title, but at least it's interesting for some (Even though it may annoy some) so much it got second season. Oh yes, the anime staffs know what they did when they chose Sumire Uesaka as Alya's VA seeing she did learn Russian in the past. Fairy Tail 100 Years - The continuation of Fairy Tail which in the similar vein as Boruto, although at least it didn't starring Natsu's son as the new MC. For the story, it's about the titular 100 years quest which was teased in the prequel, and turned out the quest is to kill five dragon gods which obviously would be very enermous task. It's also worth to note the staffs only made 25 epidodes, which seems to be the trend with the shonen manga adaptation seeing One Piece was on hiatus with Toei remaking Fishman Island arc with the new one only have 21 episodes compared to the old one which had 56 episodes. Newbie Uncle - It's about 30 years old Rick who has been harshly trained by the four very strong teammates, and as the result Rick is very strong even though his common sense was shattered thanks to his teammates. The story begin with Rick tried to pass his adventurer test, and he passed despite people looking down on him thanks to his old age. Makeine - It's about the MC who met with a girl who has her heart crushed because her childhood friend go with another woman, and then the MC see more of the girl who didn't get their boyfriend. I can only say that it's quite unique seeing there's no romance between the MC and the female in the work yet. Pseudo Harem - It's about a theater member who has several girlfriends, or rather one girlfriend who can act as many characters as possible (No idea if the girl can act for 100 characters). So yeah, you better expect romcom anine instead of harem anime. The anime did adapt all of the manga, which make sense seeing the manga was ended long before the anime was aired. Weakest Tamer - It's about the girl in Japan who reincarnated into another girl in the fantasy world, although the girl was very pitiful with she was banished from her village with her skill can only adapt a very fragile slime (And the reincarnated soul didn't even have the line). Nevertheless, the girl pushed on to be successful with her life, and she eventually manage to win over some people who've been wanting to help her with the girl tried her best to help those people with whatever she could. Well that's all for my comment on Summer 2024 anime, and you'll caught up with the recent season in the next post. -
Late to comment here. For Getchu, usually the most popular one are the heroines, and most of the number one are the main heroines. However, it seems the little sisters characters are also liked by the voters, as shown with Nanami of Riddle Joker in 2018 poll, Hiyori of Hamidashi in 2022 poll (As you've shown), and Amane of Tenshi Re-Boot in 2023 poll. That said, there's always the exception, like in 2016 poll where Minato of Otome Domain won the poll which is really notable because Minato is the MC of Otome Domain and more Minato is the male who was crossdress as the girl in order to enter the girl academy (Admittedly he was very good looking, so I can see the voters decide to vote for him in 2016). By the way actually Getchu character poll was started from 2008, although it was divided into White side and Black side, with the first place of White side was Haru of G-Senjou no Maou and the first place of Black side was the titular character of Beat Blade Haruka (Haruka). Speaking of male, I can see why Kyousuke won the KEY poll, mostly because he's very cool and more importantly drive the plot Little Busters even further compared to his little sister Rin who supposed to be the main heroine (ie someone who usually expected to drive the main plot in KEY VNs). Nagisa won the 3rd place is also understandable seeing she was the main focus of the successful Clannad anime, in which Kyoani put her more prominently compared the VN which is already prominent given she being the main heroine of After Story part. As for Kanade of Angel Beats, most likely it's because the anime which turned out to be quite popular, although it probably help that it has the VN which greatly expand three of its characters with Jun Maeda planned to make five more of it before he decided that it would be better to not put too much strain on his health in order to finished the hexalogy. Quite neat that four out of top five of Grisaia trilogy are pretty much related to Yuuji's past, although Michiru here is somewhat quite out there. Then again, she may become popular because of her magical girl spin-off. Original trilogy aside, I didn't follow much of the other contents so no much to say other than it's nice of Haruto as Phantom Trigger MC still got the 4th place in the Phantom Trigger poll even though he's not as luck as Yuuji who got the 2nd place with around twice number of votes. I find it somewhat interesting that the vote in VNDB did follow the 1st poll result of Aokana, with Misaki comes first following with Mashiro, Asuka, and lastly Rika, and it should be noted that it only for the main heroines so I don't know if the VNDB poll would have same result had the OP adding Saki for the choice. By the way, currently the VNDB poll has Asuka had almost same vote as Mashiro, so perhaps overseas people may favor Asuka a bit more. I don't know on how Primal x Hearts vote goes on, but at least I'm sure Micchi aka Bicchi is in the top spot because otherwise Marmalade won't made her as the older sister of Primal x Heart 2 MC. Granted people may be disappointed on how she didn't have the route, although it can be chalked up to the VA was already agree to act on the game without voicing the sex scenes and Marmalade need to agree with the contract. As for why there's n Mashimaro FD, I just assume that Marmalade at that time figured out that it would be profitable to just invest their resources into Study Steady. Speaking of Mashimaro, it's quite surprising that Shizuka manage to win the votes with she basically just a kid who in love with the MC too much (I just assume Marmalade made her as the kid instead of teenager like Micchi in order to avoid the same thing only to be failed because some still asking for Shizuka's route). That's all for my very belated comment in reagrd of this topic.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have OELVN Siren's Call released I decided to make the parody of the Winter 2025 anime from Studio Bind, Hana to Shura, by changing 'Asura' from its English title, Flower and Asura, with 'Siren', so we have 'Flower and Siren' as the title. As for this week, well honestly speaking if you follow translation only it's still as plain as the last week, although on the other hand you may like Siren's Call release if you've been waiting for the full version of it, Escape Velocity, seeing the developer finally released it on last Friday. Other than OELVN release, another notable news is in regard of the announcement for a certain GL VN, Hayasaki no Kuroyuri. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Forgot to mention that we also have One Room VN released by Laplacian, although as it turned out it's just 20 minutes VN with anime drawing so it may not worth to get. Apparently one of the reviewer mentioned the developer just copy paste the anime into the VN, which is possible seeing each episodes of the anime only have four minutes each, so perhaps you may get the VN if you didn't watch One Room anime for some reasons. For Siren's Call, well the developer somehow make the story like Frieren with the MC was about to enter the university after resolve the terrifying mysteries in Florida with he about to say goodbye to his friends, although turned out it's not as simple as it looks seeing the MC need to deal with the crisis that he face which mean the adventure is not ended just yet. Anyway go get Siren's Call Escape Velocity from Steam if you're in the mood of mystery OELVN, and have fun. Cherry Kiss suddenly released a nukige about the MC have sex with his boss, and feel free to get it if you're interested. We have three updates for otome game in this week, with PQube will release Gensou Manege on 31st later, Aksys will release DesperaDrops on March 6th later, and Idea Factory unfortunately delayed Temirana release to the next year. Speaking of Idea Factory, turned out the GL VN Hayasaki no Kuroyuri was made by two of its employee, Fukahire (Omega Quintet artist) and Oogi Saya (One of Mary Skelter trilogy writer) with both form a doujin group. Anyway the VN is about the life in the world where a mysterious virus wiped out more than half of the young people with the world start to reeling from it, and our MC Hana (Japanese word for flower) have problem to be openly admit that she's into her female friend Itsuki, doubly so with Itsuki was killed by the accident. After the accident, Hana somehow find herself always repeating the day. Note that it already has Chinese version on Steam, with the developer just mentioned they still planned for English version in their xeet (The link to the xeet), so I'll write more about this when there's more news from them. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

First of all, happy New Year 2025. Anyway, welcome to my first VNTS Review for 2025 and I should say the first week is very plain. Still, let's see what I can write at this week. Oh yes, almost forgot that for the title since we have Mojika along with Kara no Shoujo 3 about to be released, I decided to parodied the famous The Divine Comedy because the three Kara no Shoujo VNs based on each parts of Divine Comedy (Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso) by changing 'Divine' into 'Duckling' with Duckling is from The Ugly Ducking fairy tale which Mojika title make the reference of. Idea Factory announced they'll release Senjou no Waltz on April 8th later, so you can wait for three months in case you want to play as the ordinary girl who got a very powerful cursed sword romancing several handsome man (And of course have Switch as well). Nutrients revealed they already open the Steam store for Nagi no Koi. which as we know is one of Shinzou Translation project, and they'll release it on Saturday later so feel free to wishlist it if you want to support the developer (Nutrients) even though the release seems redundant. Seeing now it's been 2025, I decided to reveal that there's an effort to translate Tsui no Sora, as in the original Tsui no Sora in which it was known as the three legendary denpa (psychological horror) VNs alongside Sayooshi and Jisatsu 101. What I can say is that SCA-JI already perfected the original game in both of its 2012 remake Subahibi (More like 2009 remake, but whatever) and 2020 remake, but perhaps it's still worth to see the original VNs that got two well received remakes. At the very least, I can say that it'll be far better than the H OVA adaptation. For the progress, currently the team is already fully translated the VN. After three years of no news, finally Sukiuso team appeared again with the team now apparently planned to release the translation patch in the near future with them start the editing work, so let's wait and see if they can finally finished Sukiuso translation work after years of working on it. That's all for my first VNTS Review in 2025, and see you next week.

The Skip Button – An Anatomy of Visual Novels
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
Well let's just say that it's very useful tool to anyone else who didn't like to read the lines in the VN for the second time, although sometimes it does its job too well because the button would obviously skip everything that already read, regardless if the reader want to re-read the lines or not. Still, the usefulness outweigh it's potential drawback anyway, seeing that it would help someone who stuck in reaching the route that the player want, moreso if said VN has too many inconsequential choices which is prevalent in the older VNs. Said potential drawback is quite rare anyway, in which it only happen in the old Chaos Head where the text keep skipping if the player need to trigger the delusion at the certain instances in order to get the bad ending, and you can only get the bad ending in the second playthrough which mean you already read the lines. For skip the scene, the closest one that we have is skip to the next choice which skip a lot of scenes anyway if the developer didn't make much choices in the first place outside of the sex scenes, and one of the VN that apply that is prominently Yuzusoft VNs. As for the VN that explicitly mention skipping the scenes, well maybe only Fate/Stay Night that still apply it until now. Anyway, this feature is obviously very useful if you want to check the Japanese guide before making the English guide, or maybe checking the gallery seeing it only unlocked after you finished the game. Granted you can also do so with the regular skip, although it's obviously faster if you can skip the scenes. No much to say that the auto mode is mostly useful if you record the VN to make the playthrough to upload it on Youtube, although it won't be useful if you prefer to rush the game seeing auto mode speed is usually too slow if you're fast reader. That's all for what I can write in regard of this topic. -
Anime of the Year 2024-II Spring - Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Grandpa and Grandma Turned Young - The series is pretty much the slice of life about the old couple who turned young and how their surrounding adapt with the change, which is interesting. The manga is already ended with the ending is quite bittersweet, with the anime follow suit despite the gap between the material. The New Gate - The studio for this was stretching when they make this seeing they also need to deal with the GL anime Whispering You with A Love Song (Or Sasakoi if you prefer Japanese name) which aired in the same season and time slot, so obviously the animation for both suffer a lot with Whispering staff force to delay the airing for its last two episodes until December 28th thanks to one of GL fans posted the horrible condition that Whispering production staffs face, resulting some people who may or may not pretend to care about the Japanese work ethic lashing out. Anyway, the fact that New Gate can still aired the last episodes on time obviously mean that no isekai fans care enough about this anime, which make sense considering several isekai big title aired in Spring 2024 (Mushuko Tensei 2 part 2, Konosuba 3, Slime 3 even with people calling out the anime has too much meeting scenes). Spice and Wolf 2024 - Considering how Higurashi Sotsu and Gou turned out (Which in hindsight I should realize that it's one of Ryukishi's hasty experiment), at first people was wary on how Spice and Wolf will turned out now that Passione took care of it, and turned out it's really faithful. So faithful in that the first 19 episodes is really resembles 2008 anime, with only the new material start from episode 20 to 25 in which those episodes adapt the volume 4 that wasn't adapted in 2008 anime. Anyway, obviously this is quite successful remake so there'll be second season, in which Passione will adapt the final arc from 2008 anime as its first six episodes. Oh yes, the story here was telling through Holo telling her youth to hers and Lawrence's daughter, Myuri. Level 2 Cheat - Let's just say that people obviously won't watch this for good isekai story seeing it's about the MC who transferred from a fantasy world (Not Japanese) into another fantasy world with he immediately find out that his status jumped out to infinity once he was at level 2. But instead, people watch this for how the studio (JC Staff) using the VAs from The Familiar of Zero to voicing the character based on its role, at least to me. Anyway, after the MC getting his infinity power, he decided to become neutral while making friend with several people, including the demon lord. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Spring 2024 anime. -
Scarlet Kaleidoscope Review - Top 10 Best Rated Visual Novels Translated in 2024
littleshogun commented on littleshogun's blog entry in Pretty Cure on Fuwanovel
The thing is I took the score from VNDB, so since Aoi Tori has lower score compared to Mashiro Iro I'd put it above Aoi Tori, and if any VNs scores (Including Aoi Tori) become higher (Or lower) than Mashiro Iro then I'll upgrade the ranking. Anyway, nice personal ranking there. -
Dorama of the Year 1980s - Takeda Shingen (1988)
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Dorama of the Season
As for 1980 dorama, I only know Oshin in which it's dorama with 297 half episodes(15 minutes for each episodes) with it got the anime in 1984. More importantly, it was aired in Indonesia in 1986 which make the series become very well known in Indonesia, which back then there's only one television broadcast with the internet is obviously still not exist so it's only the few entertainment the people had, although it really help the series is very popular in Japan and several other countries (Notably Iran and Vietnam). For the premise, well it's more or less the same as the anime movie that you saw with the MC Shin (Also called as Oshin) does her best in pre-war Japan despite her numerous hardship. That's all for what I can comment in regard of 1980's dorama here. -
For 2024, the first half is exciting, with several releases of known classics such as Kanon and Mashiro-iro Symphony. However, it slowed down in the latter half before the pace picked up again in December 2024. Anyway, as usual, I'll list the VNs that were translated in 2024. Of course, I may be subjective when I choose the VNs, so I'm sorry if your favorite VNs are not on my list. Like my past lists, the ranking and the scores of each visual novel can change in the future. For the info, the scores and the ranking of the VNs below will be according to the VNDB scores for each VN today (January 3rd, 2025). As usual, I'll add the honorable mentions here, and for the 2024 honorable mentions, we have Lunaria -Virtualized Moonchild- (VNDB 7.56), Everlasting Flowers (VNDB 7.17), and Select Oblige (VNDB 7.05). That's all for the honorable mentions of 2024. 10. Amanatsu (VNDB 7.57) One day in 2021, Frontwing localized Aikagi, and then two years later, in 2023, they localized the sequel, After Days. Aikagi is the VN from Azarashi Soft, whose VNs are known for art rather than the story, with most of their VNs focusing on the lighthearted atmosphere. While both Aikagi and the sequel have good art, in the end, it's shorter compared to their more known works, Amakano. Then, in 2024, Shiravune released one of Azarashi Soft's longer works, Amanatsu, with Aikagi's artist designing the characters. The VN is about Haruto, who is quite tired of the big city and has decided to move to a small town near the mountain. Initially, being raised in a competitive environment, he expects another battlefield. Instead, what awaits Haruto is a relaxing life (if a bit chaotic and comical), which he wants in the first place, with several new friends and soon romance. Soon, Haruto finds himself enjoying his new life in the countryside. Amanatsu itself has a comedy approach because instead of tasking Amakano's writer, Azarashi Soft decided to bring Hayase Yuu (Fureraba and Making Lovers writer) to write the game, so you may be familiar with the comedy if you've been playing the Smee VNs. 9. Kakenuke Seishun Sparking (VNDB 7.59) Saga Planets tried to bring the lighthearted VN in 2020, and the result of the attempt is Kakenuke Seishun Sparking, or Forward to Our Sparking Youth in English, which Nekonyan uses as the subtitle. In Kakenuke, we have a young male MC, Tono Yuu, who was left alone with his younger sister by his parents. Left with no choice, Yuu became the provider for the family while he needed to study to get a scholarship at school, leaving him very exhausted every day. On top of that, his situation left him bitter, and he could only think about money instead of having fun. Seeing Yuu's situation, his nearest people are worried about him, so two of his friends, Hibiki and Riri, relentlessly recruit him to their respective clubs, with both clubs having the mission to enjoy youth in their ways. Of course, being money-minded, Yuu was hesitant to join the club because he needed to do his part-time job. Yet, Yuu will get involved in the club's activities despite his initial hesitation. For Kakenuke, while Saga Planets successfully brings lighthearted VN focusing on daily life in an ordinary setting, they still have some knack for writing the dramatic story, as seen in some parts. 8. Karenai Sekai to Owaru Hana (VNDB 7.64) Back in 2023, someone established a fan translation group called Shinzou Translations. At first, most of their works were short and free VNs, such as Rinkaiten no Azrael and Nagi no Koi, before they worked on translating Karenai Sekai. Karenai Sekai is the first game from the developer, Sweet & Tea, which is quite ironic given the remaining VNs from the developer (Kemono Musume and Nekogami-sama) translated by Sekai Project. For the premise of Karenai Sekai, we have a young man, Shou, who travels with the little girl, Ren. One day, they arrive at a town full of flowers. Soon after, they meet with the sisters, Kotose, Haru, and Yukina, who open a cafe, and then Shou agrees to work there in exchange for a bed to sleep in. In the middle of the night, Shou saw the middle sister, Haru, going outside, and he followed her to the hill full of flowers. There, Shou saw Haru embracing a little girl, and afterward, the little girl turned into a flower. Knowing Shou saw her, Haru says she has her circumstances, and Shou can only respond he'll keep praying for the world to end. The game tone is quite somber, which is quite a departure from the writer's previous work, with said work being the well-known Nekopara. 7. Amazing Grace -What Color is Your Attribute- (VNDB 7.70) While Cabbage Soft produces Amairo Chocolate to compete with Nekopara, they also made several plot-focused VNs, one of which is Amazing Grace (available in English thanks to Shiravune). While the heroines look cute courtesy of Korie Riko as the artist, it has more than cute character designs, especially the story. The story is about Shuu, who has amnesia and stumbled into the town in the post-apocalypse world. The place itself has some peculiar situations, with the most important thing is the people were going all out to put the focus on art. Regardless, Shuu enjoys his life. At the start of Advent, Shuu and Yune (one of the heroines) eat the strange apples, which in the long run helps them a lot, seeing the town destroyed by the explosions at Christmas, with the apples giving them time travel ability to the Advent's beginning. So, with his time travel power, Shuu makes full use of it to save the town. After using the powers and failing to prevent the explosions several times, Shuu finally finds the town's secret together with his memories. While the story may not satisfy everyone, at least Amazing Grace has interesting talk about art and how to appreciate it. 6. Aoi Tori (VNDB 7.70) Aoi Tori was announced in 2021 by Nekonyan, which made Purple Software work with three publishers at that time. While the translation and editing work went without much problem, Nekonyan found troubles with the engine work. Eventually, Purple Software felt the work was too long, so they asked Nekonyan to release Aoi Tori by April 2024, or the license would revoked. Seeing no choice, Nekonyan did their best to comply with the request by canceling the engine work and releasing the game in English, with the Steam version released in June 2024 because Valve rejected the initial build for the Steam version of Aoi Tori. Aoi Tori is about Ritsu, who lives as a priest in an all-girl Catholic school in the middle of nowhere. He has the power to give positive emotions over sex, so he occasionally gets asked for sex by desperate students, making him a little more than a gigolo. One day in his plain life, after he had sex with the desperate student, he somehow got a call from the devil. After the call, Ritsu encounters the cheerful 99-year-old vampire girl, Mary, who says she's back to her former house where Ritsu resides. From there, Ritsu's life starts to get more lively. 5. Mashiro-iro Symphony (VNDB 7.72) In 2009, Palette hired Izumi Tsubasu to do the art for their newest VN, Mashiro Iro Symphony, and her art is pretty good-looking. Afterward, Palette released the PSP version, and then it received an anime adaptation in 2012 with Kawamura Toshie (one of the Precure character designers) responsible for its beautiful art. In 2023, Palette decided to remake Mashiro Iro while at the same time also remaking the route for Sana (fan favorite character) from the PSP version, and somehow selling both the remake and Sana's route separately despite almost no reason to do so. A year after that, Shiravune localized the remake along with Sana Edition, and they released it with the English version keeping the Sprite Viewer feature, which is nice because somehow that feature was omitted in the other translated Palette's VNs (Nine series, Saku Saku, Otome Domain) despite no engine change. The story is quite simple; it's about the MC Shingo, who is about to attend an all-girls school that soon faces a merger. However, his road was not smooth sailing because the female students resisted the change. Still, Shingo tried his best to have a good relationship with the female students, and eventually, he managed to get close to them. 4. Tsui no Sora Remake (VNDB 8.02) One day, SCA-JI got the inspiration after reading the works of Frederich Nietzsche to write the psychological horror VN Tsui no Sora and released it in 1999. His Tsui no Sora was very successful, so much so that it was called one of three legendary psychological horror VNs in Japan, with the other two VNs being Sayooshi and Jisatsu 101. In 2009, SCA-JI tried to remake Tsui no Sora as Subahibi, which then took its own identity. Then, 21 years after the original Tsui no Sora release (in 2020), SCA-JI decided to do another remake for Tsui no Sora and managed to be quite similar to the original. The VN storytelling is identical to the original and Subahibi, with multiple persons showing how they live with the world that is about to end on the 20th day of the month (July). For the video, since there's no opening, I'll use the ending video for Yasuko's chapter, who in Tsui no Sora Remake became a much more important character (and cuter). By that, I mean SCA-JI did flesh out her character far more and explain her background in her chapter, which is interesting given that she is just a side character in the original and bordering cameo in Subahibi. 3. Irotoridori no Sekai (VNDB 8.13) This VN has one intricate history of translating it into English. Long story short, someone decided to try to translate it in 2011, only to be dropped. Then, in 2015, Shinku Translation (Nekonyan's precursor) expressed their love for the main heroine, Shinku, by translating this. In 2019, a publisher ran Kickstarter to fund the license, which barely reached the goal before the publisher crashed into the ground shortly after. Then, in 2022, Nekonyan managed to get the Irotoridori no Sekai license. After years of those happenings, Nekonyan finally released Irotoridori in February 2024, as they'd been hoping for in the first place. In Irotoridori, we have the amnesiac MC Yuuma with a superpower given by Shinku, the mysterious girl only visible to Yuuma. One day, he saw a girl about to jump from the lighthouse, and Yuuma rushed to save the girl. Then, the girl said she knew Yuuma and asked Yuuma to save her. From there, Yuuma tried to find out what kind of ordeal the girl was having and find a way to fulfill her request. Irotoridori no Sekai is the first part of the trilogy, with the second part, Irotoridori no Hikari, adding more of the story. That said, the story for the first part is complete to a degree. 2. Hatsuyuki Sakura (VNDB 8.17) When Saga Planets was under Visual Arts, they'd release a series of VNs called Four Seasons Games. Each VN represented one season (Coming x Humming for Spring, Natsuyume Nagisa for Summer, Kisaragi Gold Star for Autumn, and Hatsuyuki Sakura for Winter) with Niijima Yuu directing two of its games; Natsuyume Nagisa and Hatsuyuki Sakura, with both are said to be the best VNs in the series. Time passes, and some other games from Niijima (Majo Koi Nikki and Summer Pockets) are available in English. Yet, Hatsuyuki Sakura has not been available in English until now, with Nekonyan releasing it in December 2024. In Hatsuyuki Sakura, we have the school delinquent Hatsuyuki, who is rude and likes to drink alcohol. One day, at the beginning of December, he saw a girl wearing a white dress. Hatsuyuki approached her, and the girl said she wanted to search for her rabbit. Afterward, she introduced herself as Sakura. Two days later, Sakura transferred into the same class as Hatsuyuki, and Hatsuyuki's life started to change even though he was initially annoyed. Hatsuyuki Sakura is far more serious and dramatic than the other translated Saga Planets VNs (Kinkoi and Kakenuke), and the tone is quite somber in some parts. 1. Gin'iro Haruka (VNDB 8.19) One day in August 2019, Tsurezurescan announced they'd been working with Gin'iro Haruka (Ginharu) after finishing Hoshiori in March 2019. Obviously, with them proven to be very fast with their past projects, people expected the full translation patch would be available shortly. Unfortunately, after they released the partial patch (which translated Bethly, Hinata, and Momiji routes), the translator, Trip, decided to drop the project in 2021 after he worked a bit on the fourth heroine, Yuzuki, routes, leaving the two routes, Yuzuki and Mizuha, untranslated. Afterward, the editor, Irru, searched for a new translator, and then he worked with the new group in 2022. Initially, the group was only interested in translating the other untranslated route, Mizuha, before they decided to finish what Trip started. Afterward, we saw progress in the works, which led to the full patch release in April 2024. For Ginharu, the staff does the same formula as Hoshiori, in which we'll see the romance story of the MC, Yukito, to adulthood. They also add the middle school story, so all five heroines can be said to be Yukito's childhood friends. If you worry about the drama like in HatsuKoi, rest assured there won't be any in Ginharu. For more info, there are some VNs with better scores that I didn't list, and it's because those VNs are re-releases. That aside, as you can see, now both Irotoridori no Sekai and Hatsuyuki Sakura are available in English, which is nice seeing both have failed translation attempts in the past. Also, I may as well mention Aniplex, which they've gotten a bit more aggressive compared to the previous years, even though they still focused on Type-Moon VN, and I hope I can see more interesting titles from them in 2025. Lastly, I look forward to seeing what Nekonyan and Shiravune can release in 2025. PS - Since there's a Canadian in Gin'iro Haruka, I'm changing "Ginban" from Ginban Kaleidoscope anime (with it also had a Canadian) into "Scarlet" with it is the English word of Shinku (Irotoridori main heroine), so we have "Scarlet Kaleidoscope" as the title.
-
Well, let's just say that December 2024 is nicer compared to December 2022, especially with three of its release are available in English. For the detective VNs, I can only mention the one from Entergram and it's because the artist drew the MC like Azusa in Since Memories (I know it's her style, but this time it's really noticeable). Anyway, I should try to comment on the releases here. Tir na Nog - In theory this is the joint project between Azarashi and Cuff, although in practice this is more like usual Cuff (And thus Cube) VNs. Anyway, the name is pretty much telling us this will be lighthearted moege, seeing Tir na Nog is the equivalent of paradise in Celtic mythology with the title can be very roughly translated as 'Eternal Paradise'. From the premise, well it's like Kakenuke in which the casts will tried to spent their summer to do everything they could to enjoying life, although apparently the casts will uncover the secret that lies in the so-called paradise. LingerieS - Considering on how one of the fanservice in the VNs is usually the heroines only wore the lingerie, it's surprising to not see the nukige based on the lingerie store with the closest one if Negligee (GL OELVN) until now, although then again it may be because the store clerk for that need to be female so much the staff need to make the MC as the androgynous. Rambling aside, this VN is about Aoi who said to be as beautiful as his older twin sister suddenly asked to take care of his older sister lingerie store, and so he was does his best to do so while crossdress as his sister. From there, Aoi entering the world of lingerie, and he'll encounter the romance with one of his customers, Aisu. The VN itself is released as the first part of serial VN, so we may have more parts for the other female characters, doubly so seeing Aoi can have sex with more than one girl. Holy Undead - One of Steam reviewer did somehow decided to ban this despite this is the VN by Visual Arts, although turned out there's two suggestive CG which I assumed still left in the build and the reviewer feel the CG was too stimulating for them. Steam reviewer fiasco aside, at least it's good this is now available with English language support. For the story, it's about the necromancer who cast a spell to make him reincarnated as the undead king before he was defeated by a hero, although instead he was reincarnated as the hero's daughter, Yuricia, with she has high power of holy element. Being former male necromancer, she judge her follower based on the potential as undead while at the same time understandably indifferent with the handsome men. By the way if you feel that its like usual reincarnation work, it's because the VN was made based on the web novel from the contest winner, and looking from the ending it seems the story is still continuing. Tanetsumi no Uta - The art is definitely resemble Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night anime which I watched in Spring 2024, although I just realized it after I saw the name of the artist back in December. Anyway, this VN is about 16 years old girl Misuzu who lost her mother at her young age suddenly was visited by her late mother, Yoko, at her 16. To complicate matter, both do time travel to the future where they visited Misuzu's future 16 years old daughter Tsumugi. From there, the 16 years girls across three generation do the journey to save the land in another world with Hiruko who claimed to be Mizusu's brother. For the games, let's just say there'll be a number of family moments which make sense seeing all four of the main casts are the family members. Out of those four, well I'm going to say that the VN of the Month for December 2024 goes to Tanetsumi no Uta simply because it has the highest average score. That's all for what I can comment in regard of December 2024 releases.

Nursery Rhyme Translation Project
littleshogun replied to Chifuyu-chan's topic in Translation Projects
Well unfortunately there's no new year release, so I'll just assume they're have some real life issue when it come to working on this. Also if you need the news about this one, then they'll update it here when they ready seeing so far this is the only place where they gave the updates (No idea if they have Discord or not). -
Science Fantasy – Genre Deep Dive
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
I did learn that science fantasy was the part of the sub-genre of science fiction in the first day of 2025. Anyway, like mod Clephas mentioned science fantasy here is pretty much prevalent in the JRPG, in which the setting had them using the technology from the very advanced ancient civilization while at the same time the casts can also utilize magic, and such setting is also prevalent in the recent isekai story (Presumably to make the setting more easy for the modern target audience to do the self-insert). Being the parody of JRPG series, obviously Rance series also included as science fantasy with the technology is basically equal to modern Japanese while the casts can also use magic and skill. Well, no much that I can talk about this topic, so that all for what I can talk about it. -
Anime of the Year 2024-I Winter - Kingdom 5th Season
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Well you really finally almost catching up with the most recent anime now that you cover Winter 2024 anime, which mean I'm going to coming into familiar territory starting now. Anyway, let's see what I can comment in regard of both Autumn 2023 and Winter 2024 anime here. Tearmoon Empire - An user did make a blogpost about it here, so I decided to take a look on it. To summarize, it's about the spoiled princess Mia who live in the kingdom that face the revolution as the result of the poverty with Mia herself got guillotined, and she find herself in several years before the happening. Obviously being afraid of guillotine, Mia does try her best even with her limited intelligence, unknowingly change the the people around her to be better simply because Mia was not act as spoiled princess anymore. Frieren - While Anya of Spy x Family bring Kirihana into attention, Frieren definitely put her on the map with she voiced the titular Frieren. For the story, it's about Frieren who find herself lost the purpose after she defeat the demon king together with the hero party, and moreso after she lost two of its fellow party member while she herself was still alive thanks to her being elf. So in order to spend her time, she decided to retrace her journey with the party member. Also yes I know it currently rank first at MAL defeating FMAB, and unlike Interspecies Reviewer this time it's more make sense seeing Madhouse do the good job on the anime adaptation. Frieren here always employ the flashback whenever possible, which in the series make sense considering it mean she reflect her past journey and it also help the audience to see more of the hero even with he was already dead (So much the hero manage to be the most popular character in the poll). By the way, I did skip the second cour for personal reason despite Madhouse effort on the battle animation, mainly it has some unsatisfying outcome to me. Anyway, it got second season, which if Madhouse keep adapting two cours per season we may see two of its interesting arcs (Golden Land and Fiala Toll) animated. WPC - Since now Kirihana is on the map, Toei decided to cast her as one of Precure, Iroha aka Cure Friendy. That aside, in WPC we have Iroha who walking her dog Komugi find a mysterious stone, and in usual Precure stuff turned out the stone is contained monster with Komugi turned into a human as the result of her desire to protect Iroha. Afterwards, Komugi herself manage to ansform into Cure Wonderful. After pacified the monster (Which is not through the fighting), the monster turned into the talking sheep Mey Mey who inform the other world called Niko Garden was attacked, and thus he tasked Komugi as Precure to save Niko Garden. Toei did another experiment of not bringing the fighting like in KKPC, with in here it make sense because the monster are animal and it would bad example for children to hit the animal. Oh yes, the series was written by YPC5 duology writer Narita, in which she did bring the successful romance after she failed to do so in HapCha (Which ironically speaking is the least concern to me after see a bunch of the experiments that Toei did in there). 100 Girlfriends - Let's just say it's seemingly impossible for the author to develop 100 heroines at once, but regardless the author manage to stick with it anyway thanks to the MC Rentarou being very competent to handle his quirky girlfriends (It help that the genre of the manga is comedy). For the premise, we have Rentarou who was rejected 100 times was wishing to have a girlfriend, and the God decided to grant his wish. Unfortunately though, the God overcompensate Rentarou by granting him 100 soulmates thanks to the God's carelessness with the girl will die if she didn't become Rentarou's girlfriend. Determined to not make his soulmates dead, Rentarou decided to do his best to search and be the best boyfriend to his soulmates. The anime is quite successful, and it will have the second season in the upcoming Winter 2025. Tank 9999 - It's about the siscon Rude who was banished from the party just because he was tank (Never mind on how useful the job can be to soak the damage in order to have the attacker and supporter do their job properly), and with Rude find his ability was very useful obviously his former party find the difficulties after Rude left the party. Nevertheless, Rude decided to just start his life in his hometown with his beloved sister along with the homunculus that he found. Since this is only have 12 episodes, the finale have Rude dealing with the third enemies with the manga is still ongoing. Overall, I can only say this is not too bad adaptation of the not too bad manga. Apothecary Diary - It's about Maomao who work as the apothecary in the ancient Chinese palace after she was kidnapped by the slave trader, although in practice Maomao ability is very useful in detective work with she helping the palace uncover the schemes that happened around her. Other than the detective stuffs, we also have the side plot which is about Maomao relationship with her superior Jinshi with Maomao initially didn't trust Jishi much. Wrong Way of Using Healing Magic - At the beginning, three friends was thrown into the other world with one of them, Usato, has the affinity for the healing magic with he was just accidentally summoned, with the summon was to search the heroes to fight the demon. Regardless even with non-combat ability, the author manage to find a way to make Usato as overpowered as isekai MCs, namely having Rose (Who remind me Izumi Curtis of FMA) do some very hellish training to Usato with he manage to prove his training shortly after. Like any popular anime it has second season, although compared to the first season I did find it's conflict was too overblown seeing it can be boiled down to childhood friend quarrel goes wrong with the second arc threat being a very harsh tsundere human childhood friend (With Usato took the sideline as the supporting character). 16-bit Sensation - It's about Konoha who want to become the famous illustrator of a VN, although unfortunately she was stuck with the job at the nukige company who prefer to make cheap hypnosis game. One day, she was got several physical copies of the old VNs, and after Konoha opened one of it she was time slipped into 1992. Eventually she was stumbled into the VN company, Alcohol Soft, and Konoha was recruited into working there. It has manga, although the anime was very different with the manga with Konoha is the anime MC. Also there are several references of the VNs (Kanon, Mashiro Iro HD, and Teshi Re-Boot), which is understandable because the artist are former Leaf illustrator. The first episode here did a good job on showing the worry about the future of the VNs, especially with some have express their worry on it. Villainess Level 99 - It's about the random girl who reincarnated into the otome RPG bonus boss Yumiella, and she was destined to be defeated by the female MC Alicia. Seeing Yumiella fate is death for certain had Alicia decided to do 100% completion, Yumiella decided to not interact with Alicia much. However since her level was shown to the public as level 99 (As expected of the bonus boss), it become harder for Yumiella to avoid Alicia. Nevertheless, Yumiella tried her best to avoid her doomed fate. The anime has different ending from the web novel, in which I prefer the anime ending seeing the web novel has some questionable events in the finale. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 2024 anime. -
Welcome to my last VNTS Review for 2024, and for the title because we have Holy Undead with it has the male necromancer reincarnated as the female saint, I decided to just make a parody of Tenshi Re-Boot with I changed 'Tenshi' into 'Necromancer' so we have 'Necromancer Re-Boot'. For the last week of 2024, obviously it's calmer after last two weeks have a number of the releases, although this time there are several releases from fan translation group. Other than the releases, we also have Sekai give us their updates, although I can't exactly say the updates are quite interesting. Overall, the last week of 2024 here is a below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. With 2024 is only two days left, obviously the releases that were slated for 2024 release, Ever Maiden and Knight Case Files, will be delayed, although in case of the latter the publisher already change the release estimation to the next year. Laplacian planned to have another simultaneous release, and this time you won't need to worry about the sex scenes removal like in Aojashin because the VN itself is all age in the first place. Said VN is One Room Yui Hanasaka Memorial in which it's the short VN based on the anime One Room revolving around the character named Yui Hanasaka, which in the anime itself was one of the heroines. I did a bit of searching, and the anime has three seasons with each episodes has the duration four minutes, so basically it's short anime. Another thing that I can see is the art was done by Kantoku, who was worked on Kamikimi and Your Diary character design. Well, in case you show interest with this, Laplacian will release it on January 11th later. I did forgot to mention there's a plan to translate the well-known housewives VN from Alicesoft Tsumamigui 3, although apparently the one who worked on the translation has some shady reputation for using the MTL, so I decided to just wait and see in regard of this until the release time. In case you decided to keep the eyes on it, it'll be available sometimes in the next year. Speaking of Alicesoft, a fan was worked on Sengoku Rance mod called Dai Sengoku Rance with the mod was acknowledge by the former Rance series director (Tada) himself. The mod itself did improve several features from Sengoku Rance while at the same time expanding the scenario after the player united Nippon, so basically the mod adding Kichikuou premise (Rance conquering the whole world) into Sengoku Rance engine. Well, feel free to try if you want to see some sort of Rance X alternative while waiting until Mangagamer finally finished working on it. For Sekai's updates, we have Wagahigh FD is at 70% translated, Nekopara 5 is at 80% translated, and Maiden's Serenade is at three quarter edited. Also it should be obvious that they delayed the release for Amairo Chocolata 3, seeing 2024 is about to be end and yet there's still no news in regard of it. Shiravune decided to add one more release in the next January, and this time they'll release Ochingin nukige in January 14th later so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for it since Shiravune's announcement. Rattanman finally released Taima Seiko Alice full translation patch, and since there's no info on VNDB I'll just assume that it's about another female fighter who would suffer the inevitable rape down the road. Snowryuujin also finally released Konosora Snow Present, and with no involvement from Pulltop in the translation obviously the sex scenes will be intact so no censorship for their favorite customers (12 years old French girl). That said, Pulltop did some experiment in the title, namely they tried to have 3D sprites which apparently is quite mixed in quality along with mixed save system. For the story, well it's about Aoi who spent some times with Kotori before the event in Flight Diary, so it's more or less created for Kotori fans. Go get Snow Present if you're favorite Konosora heroine is Kotori and want to see more of her, and have fun. Lastly, we have Akagoei 3 update, with it's QA work is currently past 30% mark (30.16%) done. That's all for my last VNTS Review in 2024, and see you next year.

Like mod Clephas said there's no limit when it come to posting something, so there won't be any problem if you want to write a very lengthy post about VNs or any other stuffs. That said, if you curious on which section that has limit, it would be the title in which at most it allow people to post up to 255 characters, which is still quite big limit anyway as long as you didn't post several isekai light novel title in the title column.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and because we have Yakin Byouto release with the MC was training the nurses in the hospital in order to become the sex slave, I made a parody of the old nukige Virgin Roster, where its MC was work as the teacher in order to hunt the virgin girl, by changing 'Virgin' into 'Nurse', so we have 'Nurse Roster' as the title. For this week, technically speaking we have a number of releases, although obviously none as big as Hatsuyuki Sakura. That said, at least we have the exact release date announcements for the upcoming big releases, so this week is an above average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Sekai was suddenly released Kuri Kuri Click 3 in which it's about the MC who work with the gravure model that like to do cosplay as the succubus, and no much to say other than good for Sekai to have their backlog reduced again. Speaking of sudden release, we also have LingerieS have sudden release as well. For the premise, we have the MC (Who is apparently looking convincing enough to be mistaken as his older twin sister) was asked to take care of his sister lingerie store while cross-dress as the sister, and the MC reluctantly do his job. From there, he starts to find the depth in the lingerie besides it being the sexy underwear for female, and then he start to find the relationship with one of his customers. Honestly speaking the MC is not as good looking as any trap VN MC, so we better to take the synopsis's word. Anyway, go get the VN if you want to play the VN revolving around lingerie store like Negligee only with no GL element, and have fun. Mangagamer was released Sex Open World, and they decided to do their old tradition in which they'd reveal the exact release date for their next release, which in this case is Battle Scarred Homunculus with said date is January 23rd later. For Sex Open World, it's about Seiya who has sudden encounter with a truck when he tried to save a dog. After the encounter, he obviously arrived in the another world with the world has the prophecy that the man from another world will give birth to a legendary hero that will bring the end to wars that plaguing the world. Obviously with such prophecy, it didn't took long time for Seiya to become the object of political marriage with several female from the higher position vying for Seiya's seed, and Seiya need to impregnate someone or else he'll sent back to the time where he encounter the truck. Thankfully as someone who sent to the another world, Seiya has the power to know when the woman is at the peak of fertility. Nevertheless, the day where Seiya's seed getting milked has just started. Go get that isekai nukige which admittedly it has good graphic if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. Visual Arts released Holy Undead, although somehow Steam was banned the game for some reasons despite it has no explicit sex scenes. Still it was easy to guess why the game was banned, especially with two of its CG are quite explicit for Steam version. That said, you can still purchase it from DLSite with the VN has English language support anyway. Go get Holy Undead if you want to read the VN that adapt the story from the typical reincarnation story of web novel with gender bender, and have fun. Frontwing announce their new work, Perennial Dusk, and it was written by Irotoridori's writer which the setting make it very clear (Especially the mysterious other world which is also in Irotoridori and Sakura Moyu). The premise is about the MC who met the mysterious girl, although unlike Shinku and Kuro the girl has the other personality. No idea if the VN will be lengthy like the author previous works or if Frontwing planned this as serial VN, but at least I know it'll be released sometimes in the next year. For the aforementioned Yakin Byouto release, it was the remake of the VN from defunct Mink. It also quite popular, so much Mink make several spin-off of Yakin Byouto. Shiravune released the remake version of it, with Ueda Metawo is the one who responsible for the good looking arts in the remake. For the VN itself, it's about the MC Ryuuji who is quite a mad scientist with his lust to experimenting on women beneath his simple appearance as the doctor in the small hospital. One day, he encounter his old classmate in the college who also happen to be his past victim and his fellow doctor, Narumi, and Ryuuji was scared that Narumi will reveal his dark past. However, Narumi propose interesting request to Ryuji to train her nurses as the sex slaves, and he accept the request despite he did suspicious about her motive. Go get Yakin Byouto remake if you want to play some simulation game about training the nurses as the sex slaves by raping them, and have fun. For this week updates, we have Taima Seiko Alice proofreading is 90% done and Akagoei 3 QA work is 28.57% done. Shiravune finally have the exact release date for Kara no Shoujo 3, and said date is January 22nd later so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for 9 years (Or maybe almost a year if you just read Kara no Shoujo 2 Shiravune version) to see the conclusion of the trilogy. Lastly, Nekonyan finally have the exact release date for Tenshi Re-Boot, and they'll release it on January 24th later so feel free to note the date if you've been waiting for a year thanks to Steam's random ban. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and merry Christmas. See you next week.

Well there's quite a number of notable anime all right, which only natural seeing it's just a year since we have Autumn 2023 (Congratulation for almost catching up with the blogpost here). That said, I'll save the talk for some anime later (Particularly Frieren). Magical Revolution - We have Anise who is reincarnated as the older sister of the crown prince with her previous life as the ordinary Japanese girl, and one day she rescued a girl, Euphie, who just had her engagement broken up by the prince. Seeing no place to return, Anise decided to take Euphie under her care, and eventually the romance will be blossomed between them (Obviously this is GL anime). Note that it has some magic stuff in the series, in which it's related on how Anise was in love with magic ever since her previous life and yet she still unable to wield the magic in her new life, so to make up the deficiencies she make the magical tool which eventually lead a way to established the titular Magical Revolution with the aristocrats was too stubborn to accept the magical tool. Stardust Telepath - I still didn't forget on how I find dramatic turn in Chapter 21 of this manga when I read this manga while I accompanied my parents do their first vaccination, especially with the continuation is not available until months later with I only manage to came back to this after the anime was announced. The story is about Umika who is like Bocchi is very afraid of speaking so much she wish to meeting an alien, only to have her wish granted in the unexpected way with she encounter Yuu with she introduce herself as the alien who can read mind through forehead. From there, Umika and Yuu decided to try going into the space with them starting to making rocket model before eventually make a true rocket. Also while Umika seemingly like a weak character just like Bocchi, deep down she prove herself to be quite resilient as some moments shown, especially at the episode 11 and the later in the manga. Also while it would be nice to see the second season this, unfortunately the manga still didn't have the enough materials to be adapted into another 12 episodes. Birdie Wing - Well I definitely learnt some of golf basic from this anime lol. In here, we have Eve who live in poverty and work as the player in an underground golf game. One day after she crushed an experienced golf player, she was challenged by another experienced gold player, Aoi. Unlike the previous player, Aoi turned out to be quite a challenge for Eve and thus she decided to keep challenging her in order to beat Aoi properly. Obviously though, the road to do the rematch is not really easy, seeing Aoi herself is a very rich girl with her mother is the CEO of number one golf company equipment in Japan. Nevertheless, Eve will do anything to finally have the passionate rematch, including transferring into the same school as Aoi. Since this show was made by Bandai, you'll see some Gundam reference if you've been Gundam fans, and also Eve and Aoi rivalry here remind me of Hyuga and Tsubasa rivalry from Captain Tsubasa. Vexations of Shut In Vampire Princess - Komari is a very weak vampire and like to shut herself in the room, and so she was surprised when her doting father was somehow manage to secure her a position of one of the highest general in the vampire empire. Obviously believing herself was very weak, she afraid that her subordinate would like to kill her, and so she tried to do her best to please her subordinate who always support her. Soon, Komari find herself in a big pinch, and turned out that Komari is really powerful after she consume a little drop of blood, although in exchange she'll forgot about it after the battle is over. The anime adapted the three volumes of the novel, and it has ongoing plot with the empire need to fend the terrorist who disrupt the empire with the later volumes revealed there's much more story beneath it. Onimai - Honestly I can see if you've been weirded out by this, especially because I drop the manga and then ignoring the anime before a certain blogpost convince me to give a try to the anime. As for the premise, it's about Mahiro who was drugged by his genius brocon little sister Mihari who was fed up seeing her older brother shut himself in the room, and said drug effect turned him into middle school girl. Seeing no choice, Mahiro just going with the flow with Mihari taking care of her needs to re-entering the middle school with she having fun with her new friends. So yeah ignoring the premise this is more or less CGDCT with the staffs doing the good job on this, which to be expected seeing Studio Bind did the good job on Mushuko Tensei. Gundam Witch of Mercury - Once again this is the only Gundam that I watched, although it may chance with the new Gundam written by Evangelion writer. As far as Gundam matter, I would like to say this is the lighter one with the female MC Suletta transferred into Earth school and became the fiance for Miorine after defeated her previous fiancee. That said, even with it seemingly being light seeing it put some focus on the school life, it still has the moment where it goes bleak, especially with episode 12 ending and the second season of this. Honestly speaking I didn't care much about the robot and political stuffs here, so I'll just say that it's pretty obvious Gundam old fans didn't like Suletta and Miorine being married couple in the ending so much Bandai said that 'It's up to interpretation', never mind that the animator show some detail on how they already married and the animator did made it clear in the additional material later. Yuri is My Job - The story started with Hime who want to become rich and like to lie in the school in order to become popular. One day, she injured a child with the child was turned out to be the owner of the theme cafe inspired from Marimite. Obviously, Hime was forced to take the responsibilities, and so starts her new routine with she tried to get along with her new co-worker, only that it's not as smooth sailing as she thought because for some reason one of them hate Hime very much. The anime was adapted the manga, and it only adapt four volumes, which to say is a good decision seeing the author making the relationship become tangled in the later volumes so much she can't handle it and decided to take a break because of her so-called health issue, so even with some GL anime didn't have second season honestly speaking I don't want this to have second season even with Passione did fine job on the anime. I Favor Villainess - The series is about Rae who like to play otome game for the sake of the villainess character, Claire, with Rae spent her time to learnt about the otome game. One day after she exhausted from work, she suddenly find herself in the class together with Claire with Rae reincarnated as the MC of the otome game. With Rae has her eye on Claire, she set her way to win Claire's affection even though Claire herself responded by bullying Rae. Eventually, both of them getting close and become the couple in the anime finale. While the premise seemingly simple, beneath that the author make full use of the series to show her opinions on LGBTQ issue, especially with the dialogue at the episode 3 and several other plot points in the later series (Which in turn make the otome game become full GL game in a game where the female MC supposed to get the heroes affection). Uma Musume 3 - It's pretty clear the anime is quite successful, seeing the staff announced Oguri Cap anime with it being the adaptation of the manga (I don't know if the nameless trainer guy will be in there or not though). Anyway, For Uma Musume 3 it's about the childhood friend pair Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond with them being the fan of the protagonist pair of second season, although in practice the series is mostly about Kitasan Black who face up and down with she keep several big challenges before finally achieve the big victory in the last episode (With said victory happen after she suffer some major setback), so yeah once again like usual sports anime even with the premise of the horse turned into cute girls. World Dai Star - It's about Kokona who want to enter the theater only to be rejected because she has no Sense, as in Sense in term of theater related superpower instead of sense of acting. One day, she manage to enter the audition in the Sirius troupe. While at first she was quite overwhelmed, thanks to her friend's help, Shizuka, Kokona manage to passed the audition and accepted as the member of the troupe. The first episode here set up the mystery in regard of Shizuka, as in only Kokona that can see Shizuka at that time before she can be seen by everyone in the troupe. Oh yes, since the writer of the anime is Akame ga Kill anime (And by extension Yuuki Yuna and Majikoi), obviously he refer to Teigu when it come to made the setting of Sense. The anime was ended with the Phantom of the Opera performance, with the ending implied the journey has just started. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Autumn 2023 anime here.
