  1. Wow, it actually sounds ... acceptable. Seeing as I am a fan of similar games, I think I kinda have to give it a try. (To clearify, similar games like Raidy, not similar games as in other Sakura games. Please.) The fact that there is no rapey scenes in the game makes it a bit less appealing though. No voice acting also kind of sucks. Anyways, nice review!
  2. Who is the best SonoHana couple, and why is it Ai x Aya? What motivated you to start learning Japanese? What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being a mod on Fuwa? (Lastly, do you know who I should speak to about rising to power and taking over the site?)
  3. I put "piss me off" and "censor my Chinese porn games" in there
  4. Answer me this! Will I ever be able to grow a mustache? Well we can find some other game to play if you still want to do a race later My break starts like ... the 24th or something. I'll destroy you this time
  5. Good job Kawasumi, you guys have succeeded in scaring several people away from learning moonrunes! Anyways, in all seriousness, this was good. I haven't gotten through the whole thing yet, but listened to most of it. Will do the rest later. Good job
  6. Does this mean our race is off?! (I still have a few weeks before my break starts ) Ohh! Does that mean you forfeit? Did I win by default? Am I the best ever? I think I am
  7. Well it goes more towards most consoles not allowing 18+ content at all. So it's either or.
  8. "Do you want the game the way it was supposed to be, uncut? OR... OR do you want that same cut version .... on a different console?!" ... please.
  9. This is the most fucking confusing thing I have ever read in my entire life ....... Pretty hawt though
  10. Damnit ... Have to add this one to the never ending backlog as well. Imoutos + nakige = yes please!
  11. That is true. I find it very enjoyable, it's jut that the mix of super fun and super serious kind of seem a bit out of place. I have to agree that if the humor wasn't there, the game would be a lot less entertaining. I have not gotten her bad ending yet, no. Wasn't sure what kind of bad end this game has, and bad endings are usually never my priority. Guess I'll get that one too, if it's good.
  12. Welcome to the forum, nice to meet you This is very different from otome games, but you did say you were willing to try out other stuff: (They are all all-ages or have censored releases on steam. Have written which one has what next to the game title.) The devil on G-string (Non 18+ version on steam. It's a battle of wits, mystery type story. The game is quite heavy in both violence and sexual themes, though the version on steam is like I said, a censored version with the H-scenes taken out.) If my heart had wings (Non 18+ version on steam. The steam version does have a few rather awkward English sentences and a little bit of a wonky translation, but it is still very enjoyable. It's a fluffy and cute slice of life game, with a simple but nice story.) Planetarian (All-ages. Fairly short nakige. Strongly recommend it.) Princess Evangile (Non 18+ version on steam. The story is very simple here, but if you like slice of life stories, then I'd give it a shot.) A kiss for the petals: remembering how we met. (A yuri story. It's short, it's cute and it's all ages. Worth giving it a try if you like yuri.)
  13. Well I finally got some playing time this weekend, and went through Raziel's route in Tokyo Babel. I very much enjoyed it. The game is very ... unique, with it's crazy fighting scenes all over the place. It is nothing like anything I have ever read before, but one thing is for sure: it is very entertaining. I like the dark and grim setting, though the funny slice of life elements feel a little out of place. I mean, I love them, they are hilarious, but considering how dark and gloomy the game really is during its core story, it feels a bit weird. Anyways, think I'm going to read the Sorami route next, then Lillith. EDIT: Just found out, I HAVE to... (This game really needs H-scenes.)
  14. That is very true!
  15. Confession: I was so out of it this morning, I literally forgot to catch the bus, despite the fact that I had time to spare after getting ready. Ended up coming into the lecture hall over an hour late. Guh I hate mondays...
  16. I guess steam is pretty useful. I'm not the biggest fan of eroge steam releases, because they usually get censored there, but we have seen a lot of content patches / 18+ versions being made availalbe as well for the upcoming steam games. It's a neat place to keep your games in a list, and I like the fact that it keeps tracks of how long you have played etc. Also, like you mentioned, the steam sales are fantastic. I have spent way too much money on those damn things ... Just in general for games, it's great, but for VNs it is a bit less of a great place, because of censorship. All in all I like steam, but if we are talking specifically about VNs, then I perfer my games to be outside of steam, simply because I do not like cut content. Seeing as I don't play that many "normal" video games anymore, I tend to use steam a lot less. Still, it's neat.
  17. Damn, this one sounds really awesome. (And it was made by Moonstone? The only stuff I have played by them is romantic mush or nukige ... )
  18. Like Decay said, the first game does not end on a cliffhanger in any way, and you don't have to wait for the sequels at all unless you want to play them. That being said, the sequels are a lot more close to the type of game you are looking for. Morals, right and wrong etc. The characters kind of have to question their own actions as well as other people's throughout the story. The first game and the two sequels are very different types of games tbh. I'd say read Meikyuu and Rakuen when they are out if you want a game like the one you described. Kajitsu doesn't quite fit. (Though you will obviously have to read it in order to get the sequels.) But yes, my tip would be to wait for the sequels if this type of game is what interests you.
  19. Hey, welcome to the forum, nice to meet you I recommend G-senjou no Maou. It's a pretty good mystery / battle of wits type story.
  20. Now make one for FuwaChat.
  21. Alright, finished Citrus. I loved it. Nuff said Chapter 4 had a really satisfying ending, so waiting for the next volume wont be that bad. So much yuri stuff to look forward to now, both on the manga and VN front. Anyways, guess I should move over to Hana to Hina wa Houkago now, because I have not read it and I don't want to be banned by Nosebleed for being a scrub Pls no bully Nosebleed-sama.
  22. I have not been able to find a cheaper version of the game; it seems around 10k yen is the actual price for it. 9800 yen + tax. (Which is around 91 dollars + tax.) As for simple download editions, it seems the price is around 6750 yen, however the only download site I can find it on is DMM, which does not allow purchases from outside of Japan. (You will need a proxy with a Japanese IP in order to purchase games from the site AND activate it the first time you launch it. The site does have an "English version", however that is simply a machine translation, and they still wont let you buy stuff from them without a Japanese IP anymore. They tried it before, and scrapped the idea right after. Another thing is they will block your computer from accessing the site again if you do try to get around it and fail.) A proxy / VPN is not something everyone want to try out, since a lot of the bad proxies / VPNs can be a little risky. (Another thing to keep in mind is that a simple proxy changing your internet browser wont do, as you need the actual IP adress on your computer to "be in Japan" to activate the game.) Hopefully you guys can figure something out, but at the very least, physical editions are available, although it's a little expensive.

  24. Meh, it's yuri and it seemed like it was very well recieved. Although it's going to make me sound quite shallow, the fact that it's yuri and seemingly good is enough for me to buy it. It was the same with Girl Friends actually. I had no idea what it was about, but several people recommended it to me, and I decided to just buy it. Manga isn't that expensive, and like you said, it does support the creator so. In general though, I tend to do this with both manga, Light novels, anime and VNs actually. (I have like 20 Mangagamer titles on my computer I have not yet started ) I of course do some research about it before I buy it, (unless it's yuri ) but yeah. I have not yet bought something like this that I ended up regretting actually.
