Oooh, I see you're into utsuge, nice. Kara no Shoujo is up there for me too I really liked Soundless!
-
Welcome to Fuwa! This sounds interesting, but like Hata said, it'd help to have a direct link to the game! I'd love to check it out.
-
Seconded. It was a rec for me as well and I absolutely loved it. And it received an art update recently too!

we talk mostly on Discord, but we (Hata, me, and maybe others w) do want to revive it soon!

The 300-Day Pursuit of Slow Damage
fuyopon commented on Denpa Archivist's blog entry in denpaarchivist's corner
At long last, it's here. Oof, this was an infernal wait (outsider POV) -
Idk man, thanks to all those years on the fantl circle, I managed to find a job related to what I enjoy doing. The otaku and VN industry is pretty much based on recomendations and contacts, not only skill or higher education. Hell, most professional translators worked as fan translators for years before becoming professional.

Horror Recommendations That Are Simillar to... ?
fuyopon replied to bananaa_.'s topic in Recommendations
I've played Tiny Bunny and while it doesn't necessarily match your preferences, it's sooo good! The atmosphere is oppressing, keeping you on your toes. I actually haven't played much horror, so I can't give pure horror recs. However, I've played 11eyes and the atmosphere is hella creepy a lot of times. It's an action chuuni, so if you still don't want to play it, it's understandable. I didn't really like the horror aspect in Iwaihime, but who knows. -
Being hungry definitely doesn't help. Go eat first!!

Banana Fish for sure. I mean, it make me feel dead and empty inside more, though there's also a lot of crying. I've watched the anime 4 times and it never once failed me. Oh, that and Little Busters! (the VN, at least).

I haven't said anything here in a while, so let's see... Confession: I like when things are "way too artsy", even if sometimes the meaning can get a little lost. I don't want it to completely butcher the story, but most of the times people are just too conservative abt these things! Confession 2: I found a lot of the maggot guro scenes in Maggot Baits hot

Aw, cool to see more people here playing otome! Jack Jeanne is one that caught my eye for sure!! ⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩ I myself am currently reading Umineko and Synesthesia. I'm keeping a daily log for Umineko, maybe I should share that one here! Great, I'll do just that! ... Starting tomorrow. Synesthesia is very interesting for sure, though the voice acting gave me a bit of whiplash because they are AI (synthetic voices, at least). I got used to them pretty quickly, and I guess it's a fine alternative for people who don't have the budget for it. There's always the option to mute it (and the games does tell you that at the beginning, which I found pretty nice). The art is fine and all, though there were two things that bothered me a little. Not to the point of annoyance, but I did notice. 1) The female characters are much more detailed than their male counterparts. That isn't exactly uncommon, of course, but it's to the point of looking at different artstyles (which might not be a stretch?) and 2) the girls are... way too detailed. Like, if I had clothes that wrinkly, I'd have to iron them! I'm just playing around, it isn't that bad, but as an artist who struggled with that at the beginning, it's something I take notice of hahaha

Hiya!! Man, I haven't post in a while and I don't remember the last vn I was reading back then... I think I had just finished Steins; Gate? Anyway, I started Umineko and I am not on episode 2! I'm LOVING IT I've been trying to read an hour a day at least but for the last two weeks I've been failing it hard cuz of Fuwa work :sob oh the irony ——————— Oh and also, I've played a bunch of VN demos from the Steam Next Fest event — ghostpia (I loved this so much); BRXKEN INSIDE; Every Hue of You; Fragile Feelings; from Madness with Love; Monster Lover: Balasque; Tenebrae; and The Frozen Kingdom.

Hey yall! Not exactly new, but came back after a while

Hiya there, friendo!! Glad to hear it!! -
I'm quite curious about Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead! Though I can relate to Hata — I haven't watched anime in a long time... the only recent one I've watched was Chainsaw Man; other than that, my last one was from 2018 (Banana Fish).

Welcome, I hope you enjoy it here!!

Finished it!! I had a great post for this all ready to send, but my PC crashed Anyways, I really enjoyed the wild ride it was, I'll give it a solid 8/10. Why not a 9/10? I just couldn't connect too much with Kurisu - this is my main issue with most "main heroines"; they grow on me after I finish the VN and give it time to rest, though. Anyway! I don't know what to play next, honestly. I have installed Chaos;Head Noah since I want to read it soon this year, but I think I'm going to take a short break from the sciadv series for now. I'm considering maybe Totono, Umineko, Sweet Pool or some short ones.

Man... I've been away from this thread for so long... Little update: I finally bought a Steam Deck! I was torn between that or the Switch, but I own all my games on my Steam account haha I'm almost finished with Steins;Gate , but I'm waaay too lazy to write on each route asjhbdaswvd Let's just say Suzuha's ending was the one I found the most interesting. I finished Mayuri's ending today and next week I will read Kurisu's route. Phew! Finally one "classic" scratched from the big list! I'm not forcing myself to read it, and I'm really enjoying it!

What got you into Visual Novels in the first place?
fuyopon replied to Happiness+'s topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
Hmmm! I could have sworn I had replied to this before!! I am a bookworm already, and I love manga and anime, so finding about visual novels was just a mix of both lmao I think I found them through Zero Corpse, a Brazilian RPGM translation blog that mostly focuses on horror content; there was this one post on VNs and so I got interested - that's also how I got into my fantl group (now dead, sadly, though everyone is pretty much still active!!).
