  1. Yeah, soundtracks are essential. Playing a VN without it is just plain wrong. My favourites: Little Busters! OST - Steve had it right. Now I open LB! instead of WMP for music in the house. Narcissu OST - Some of them are my favourites, can't count how many times I considered learning to play piano/violin upon hearing those. Clannad OST - Almost every tracks moved my heart. I'm re-playing Clannad since I lost my save files for some reason, and I played only for the OSTs (downloading from the net feels like cheating ) I would say that I'm really, really quick to have a change of heart at times like this. Of all three mentioned above, Clannad did it the best.
  2. Welcome to Fuwanovel~ I played Katawa Shoujo but stopped halfway, planning to play again this year. About SAO, I read the novel before watching the anime, and honestly, the anime did quite well.
  3. Happy new year, Fuwanovel!! (though here it's already 1st Jan evening)
  4. Welcome~ Since you don't play VN's that much, I would like to know what have you played that amazed you the most. I'm seeking recommendations, you see.. Happy new year! (Is it already 2013 there?)
  5. Welcome~ I also started as a fan of Clannad and Kanon, and then found out about VN and its awesomeness. Glad to have another key fan here.
  6. Welcome to Fuwanovel~ Now that you mentioned that we are of different countries, which country are you from?
  7. Browsed through my old computer and found another one. It's [Ahriman's Prophecy] by Amarath Games. Well, it's your usual RPG except that although it can have up to 4 party member at a time, the gameplay is like Zenonia where you spam the attack button or use spells. The interesting thing about it is that after a party member execute an attack or cast a spell, he/she switched to the next party member. About the party member:
  8. Huh? But I never see any *** *****. Does it mean I didn't even get Rin1 correct?
  9. Don't know about you guys but I HATE this freak. He's funny sometimes but I prefer not having him in my life, thank you.
  10. Hi and welcome to Fuwanovel~ I know that feeling, because in my place, even before I started VN it's already seen as 'H-game" and stuff. But I know one in the end will regret if one is to stay away from VN just because of that. I, for one, am thankful that I found VN.
  11. Welcome to Fuwanovel~ Amazing!! ( look at all the skills I don't have T.T ) Really glad to have you here. I wanted to contribute but I really can't do anything. Feeling useless~ Anyways, welcome again!
  12. Not yet. Currently reading the Japanese Guide to Japanese Grammar. And by currently I mean still having it opened in my phone while posting this .
  13. Just finished Hiragana and Katakana. Can't even construct a proper sentence yet. Also got my vocab from watching anime.
  14. Welcome to Fuwanovel~ Game programming was my childhood dream, but now I don't even know if I'm really into it right now. I just don't really know what I'm actually good at, you see. Yeah, you'll find nice people here. The first time I was here I was warmly welcomed and thus I liked it here.
  15. I had a strange dream when I was taking a nap. In the dream, my wife was complaining to me about how I wasted my time doing what I was doing, but I told her that I really wanted to do it. When she's gone, I continued and I realized that I was translating an English Visual Novel into Japanese. It was really strange, because first of all, I don't understand Japanese and secondly, I don't have a wife (yet). This made me ponder for a while, for I had heard that dreams are sometimes visions. Will there be a day in the future when an English visual novel is translated to Japanese and not the other way around? What will the future be like when visual novels are finally popular in the west? Just something I had in mind.
  16. Hi and Welcome to Fuwanovel~ I'm also quite new, both to Fuwanovel and to VN. But I loved both. I started learning japanese, but is in doubt whether I could survive the whole learning thing. Languages just isn't my cup of tea, you see.. Welcome and Merry Christmas!
  17. Just finished Haruka's route of Little Busters! and somehow felt that it's not fair just to play it as a game. I want to be there for her, together bearing the burden, but again that's just impossible.

  18. Thanks Prof. Tay.. #1) Well, I was warmly welcomed here, and instantly felt comfortable, so the least I can do is to let the new members feel the same way as I do. #2) Yeah, I really felt the hard and lonely part. #3) Thanks again, Prof...
  19. I really think that skill of writing essay is a useful one (and look at most of my posts - not even 10 lines...). And that's interesting, actually. I wanted to start something like that, but I'm banned from working and actually earning income at the moment.
  20. Had already passed a month of my holiday, but yeah, Merry Christmas to Fuwanovel !!
  21. Pay no mind to minor spoilers. What I mind is major plot twist or the likes. Thank you, I won't lose faith in Little Busters! then.
  22. So I tried playing Little Busters! and just finished my first route. It says Rin's route. Everything was nice and all to the point where Riki had Narcolepsy, and then in his sleep someone was saying that "The path you didn't take; try it next time" or something. My question is, is this a good end? If yes then I'm kinda disappointed. Might try another route right away. Another question is, when I right-clicked the menu screen, a blue screen with light orbs flying randomly appears. What is that?
  23. Welcome~ I'm also playing Little Busters! currently and found it awesome!
  24. Really know that feel, bro. They don't even believe that I'm smart at first. Anyway I'll be following this topic. I agree that mnemonics isn't one of my stronger way of learning things (but yet again, language isn't my strong point either).
