  1. Galactic Love Utopia will be an alien/monster girl visual novel with some very simple dating sim elements (choose who to spend time with to narrow down the story to one specific main heroine or sleep around with several minor heroines). Play the prototype now! Wishlist on Steam Follow on X
  2. Hi After some time I am finishing up production of my next VN - Tears of Enceladus. The Beta is available through Apple's Testflight at https://testflight.apple.com/join/mvLCUpiK for anyone who has an iPhone or iPad. There might still be some crashes, some character overlays that aren't correct at places and such - feel free to report these through AppStore Connect's feedback.
  3. Play the game on steam In this aimless darkness of space, this world that we’ve been placed on continues to turn. This world was fated to end since its inception. And on it, we mortals wait for its inevitable end. To travel through time, one must be willing to leave everything behind and be self-centered enough to change one's own fate. And changing one's fate means going against the very same God who placed us here. Genre: Time Travel, Sci-Fi, Adventure, Mystery Retrocausality is a kinetic visual novel where you encounter paradoxes, causal loops and inversions as you strive to make your dream come true. Set in Akihabara between the years 2000-2069, the story follows a group of college students who survive an anomaly only to find themselves in the midst of a temporal war. Game Info: Hello guys! I'm Thanatos and this is going to be my debut visual novel! This is a short game that was inspired by Steins;Gate. The game is now up on steam with Neoclassic Games publishing it. Here's the VNDB link and also my twitter. Let me know what you think about it! Features: Kinetic Visual Novel - In this predetermined world that we live in, there is no free will. We don't afford such a luxury. Cyberpunk setting - Dive into a futuristic cyberpunk dystopian world where everyone resides inside a structure ruled by a strict regime. Temporal War - Fights take place in ways you have never seen before, with characters inverting, completing paradoxes, and sometimes even causing causal loops. "The grandfather paradox is impossible. In fact, all paradoxes are impossible. The Everett-Wheeler-Graham or multiple world theory is correct. All possible quantum states, events, possibilities and outcomes are real, eventual and occurring." - John Titor Now if the grandfather paradox isn't a thing, does that mean that we can we kick grandpa down the stairs? Timeline: circa 2000 - Root timeline is newly constructed with the appearance of its creator circa 2020 - Time travel is proved to be possible circa 2039 - Temporal wars conclude circa 2064 - Temporal wars begin circa 2069 - The world's first time machine is built Did reading that hurt your one-dimensional time brain? In that case, try thinking backwards instead.

  5. A Visual Novel set in Space. Fulfill your duty. Fall in love. Betray your friends. Get murdered by an A.I. Welcome aboard the Everett. OVERVIEW Quantum Suicide by Cotton Candy Cyanide is inspired by story-driven Japanese Visual Novels such as Danganronpa, and the Virtues Last Reward series. In Quantum Suicide, you play as a researcher aboard a spaceship on an epic mission to find humanity a new home. You have the ability to choose your name and gender, a choice that can change your destiny from the very beginning. Quantum Suicide contains 6 courtable options (3 females, 3 males). With their own hopes, desires, personalities, and sexual preferences, you will have to move carefully to earn each character's affections. Each courtable character has at least three posed sprites, each with multiple facial expressions. In addition, all characters are partially voiced by professional Japanese voice actors. Boasting over 50+ hours of gameplay, you must navigate your way through over 30 different endings, including bad, good, and true endings for all courtable options. Each week, you are thrown into The Deletion Game where you must battle for your survival through a series of puzzles and strategy mini-games as you attempt to see the Everett's mission through to the end...alive. Quantum Suicide is a commercial game scheduled for sale on Steam late 2017. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cccn/quantum-suicide-a-visual-novel-in-space-kill-or-be http://www.mediafire.com/download/7x9xbsqzhjgsscs/QuantumSuicide-all.zip http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=556943619 STORY The year is now 2117. You are a second generation ship-born researcher studying inter-dimensional travel. Your choices change the fortunes of all aboard the Everett. Friendship and love lay waiting at your feet, but you should be wary. The road to the stars is full of hardship. A malprogrammed A.I. dedicated to preserving resources pulls you into a twisted, murderous game. When tensions are high, who knows what even the kindest crew member will do? How will you protect those you love? Will you betray friends to save yourself? Will you be slaughtered in cold, empty space? Will you slaughter? It's time to ask yourself: what would you do to survive? CHARACTER ART Quantum Suicide's lead artist is Ygor Lisboa aka Danzzila. We were drawn to him for his wonderful, expressive Japanese style and he is responsible for our character design, sprites, and CG art. Each main character has three poses, with three expressions per pose. Supporting characters currently only have one pose, with multiple expressions. BACKGROUND ART Ah, background art. You are hardly given the credit you deserve but as soon as you are lacking, it becomes apparent. The interior of the Everett was designed with a sparse, military practicality in mind, but we also wanted it to be atmospheric and vivid enough to be visually interesting for the player. To get the best art, you have to go to the best artist so we went to background extraordinaire, Owen Carson. The scenes capture the beauty of the ship, the wonder of space, and the eerieness of a closed circuit situation. With at least 20 variations for the background to date (with plans for a few extra for the few game), the Everett will come alive, even if you don't stay that way! GRAPHIC USER INTERFACE Our Game User Interface (GUI) is designed to be intuitive, and add to the overall science fiction tone of the game. Further screens such as CG Gallery, Music Player, Mini-Games, Archive Files, and Bonus Content are to be added as the game is created. The Quantum Suicide Logo and the GUI were designed by the talented Luna Chai Li. MUSIC What would intergenerational space travel be without a great soundtrack? Quiet. No one wants quiet. Quiet is scary, and cold, and sad. To ensure that your travels among the stars is not a quiet affair, we've had a soundtrack lovingly crafted by our talented musicians. We've been lucky enough to be given permission to use the song 変異個体-ГЕNЕ- by SEVERUS WAND for our atmospheric trailer currently in production but we also have a complete Original Soundtrack by Wojciech Wojnowski. ABOUT US Cotton Candy Cyanide (CCCN-) is made up of two people: Ashley Pearson (Nyx) and Tina Richards (MoltenCherry). We often go by our gamer tags. We created CCCN- to create games that we, ourselves, wanted to play. Both of us greatly enjoy games such as Dangan Ronpa, Virtue's Last Reward, and Persona; games that challenge us, make us fall in love with characters, and then break our hearts. Unfortunately, we found these sorts of titles scarce in the Western gaming market. While Steam has been exploding with visual novels recently, we wanted to create something a little darker than a slice of life, romantic novel. We've got 'Cyanide' in our name for a reason. WHY ARE WE POSTING ON FUWANOVEL There are a multitude of reasons that we are posting on the Fuwanovel Forums. Firstly, we are hoping that by posting here we might gain some support from people as passionate about Visual Novels as we are. As many of you know, creating a game isn't always rainbows and butterflies. We find it really comforting to know that we have a community behind us. Secondly, we've put a lot of money, and time, and love into Quantum Suicide. This is our first project and we are trying our very hardest to make Quantum Suicide the highest quality product possible. Now that we are approaching the end of our initial 'concept' phase, we are simply bursting at the seams with excitement to share our project with you! If you are interested, it would truly mean the world to us if you would back us on Kickstarter or upvote us on Steam Greenlight. And finally, if you would like to stay up to date with the progress of Quantum Suicide, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
  6. Hello, I joined this forum a few years back and have sense started my own Visual Novel Project out of a story I have written with some friends over the years. We all created a Production Company out of this and are now nearing a point with our first project where I want to start throwing it out into the Visual Novel community more. We already have a very early build up on Steam, Itch.io, Discord and the Google Play Store. My team and I have built this entire project with the idea of taking community feedback and trying to add things in through what the community gives us. Anyway now that explaining what exactly is happening is out of the way I want to post our game's description and some of our art here to get feedback and possibly interest from the community. A fully complete demo build of our first Chapter is nearing completion and will be the point where we move the initial development out of Alpha. We hope to have a web based version of the VN, support Windows, Android and Linux in the future which with the engine we are using shouldn't be that hard to do. Anyway... on with it... In the distant future where Humanity has expanded far beyond Earth into a war-torn, conflict filled galaxy a young woman struggles through her life and adventures gaining friends, learning about herself and working to save her galaxy. The New Universes Project's Eine Neue Reise Beginnt First Chapter follows Sumire Rembrant an estranged princess whom moves to an academy in space in an effort to help her sister and learn more about herself. As she moves through her adventures Sumire encounters her past, finds love and builds a new future for herself. This story is the adaptation of the first set of The New Universes Project Eine Neue Reise Beginnt stories. Now for some links: This is a thread on our community forum that showcases art from the VN and from other parts of our story: Click Here This is a link to our information page on our website: Click Here. We are always looking for additional people to join our community, support our concept or just lurk. We have a Discord community as well.
  7. Play the Demo (Steam) Update: You can now play the demo version Introduction: Hi everyone. I would like to introduce myself: my name is Victor and I wanted to introduce you to the visual novel I am currently working on: Kate Don’t Wait. It is a visual novel that deals with love as a metaphor for utopia. The game is still in development and I would very much like to know your opinion on the proposal. Trailer: Features: Visual novel, set in the near future, about love as a metaphor for utopia. Learn about the history of rebooters! Two different endings: choose wisely to arrive at the truly new, that is, at the beginning of the courtship with Kate and a society of free and equal. Two different graphic styles: the realistic backgrounds style figure everyday life, while the pixelated style represents the moments when you are surfing in cyberspace. History: Year 2043. The buts spread obedience to the Accumulator infecting other people with bioinformatic viruses. You are in love with Kate: she is your friend, a hacker who does not want to obey the Accumulator that absorbs all human work in private databases. Although you do not know if you can win her heart, Kate is for you the horizon of a new morning; As you try to seduce her, she encourages you to keep fighting. But combat is dangerous and you could end up in jail. Are you going to let yourself be overcome by fear? Aren't Kate and the reboot worth any risk? Tribute: Discover The Island: A game within the game itself, proposed as a tribute to the television series Lost, in which anything is possible. Screens: Opinions and suggestions: As I mentioned, I would appreciate if you could give your opinions and suggestions about the demo, since this way I could improve the project for the final version. Greetings, Victor
  8. My name is Ziczin About me: - I write in many genres, I experiment a lot. More than 4 years of experience. - I consider awareness to be an important part of the process of creating a composition. Those. the performer is obliged to fully understand all the details of the process of creating a track, since in most cases, this is exactly what is the key to high-quality sound design. Work process: - Make the most detailed TK. Be prepared to write a little more, maybe I'll ask about the project. The quality of the composition depends on the fullness of the TK. - Indicate in advance whether the track is being written for a specific scene or will be used many times, whether this track will characterize a character, root, location, or should simply accompany the mood. It is important. - As a reference (mastering | post-processing) I can request a couple of finished tracks. It is important that the tracks have the same audible volume and are not altered by the engine sequencer (or altered equally). - Edits are accepted only from one person. - Edits must be specific, i.e. phrases like "This is not the mood here" will not be quoted. - The price may depend on the complexity and duration of the composition, as well as on the number of renders sent. Examples of my tracks on SoundCloud: - Plays (Free use) - Experiments - Old tracks - Once upon a time for a short story (Free use) - About~trailer tracks - Tracks for the visual novel "Amalgamms" - Tracks for the visual novel "Golden Leaves" - Tracks for the "Splitlands" Competitive Novel (10th out of 136 by the "Audio" criterion) - Tracks for Anivisual Jam3 Novel "Singularity of Hearts" - Tracks for the modification of Katawa Shoujo: Letters to Venus You can contact me in VK - https://vk.com/ziczin Or by discord - Зишка#7806 Or by mail - [email protected] Well you get the idea/
  9. demo | website | twitter | facebook | kickstarter From the deepest Miasma to the shimmering Veil, everything is in its place. The Peakborn rule, the Sunken toil, and the Unmoored trade. But Clear Skies Technology could rewrite the atmosphere, and with it the culture of planet Zé. It all depends on how you use it. The Sky Left Us is a sci-fi visual novel about climate change, classism, and how relationships shape our politics. Play as Spire Risan, an off-worlder scientist who becomes entangled in the drama of a mountain they came here to save. Fall in with the denizens of the three castes, and find that things are more complicated than they seem: from love, family, to the systems that shape us. Our Kickstarter is live and we also have a short demo (10-15 min) that gives you a taste of the art, storytelling, and music. Key Story Features Exploration of systemic forces through personal relationships The connection between environment, class, and power Interrogation of outsider savior stories Charming, flawed queer characters Politics as personal Nonbinary protagonist Ethics of technology No easy solutions Key Gameplay Features Writing-focused game with few bells or whistles Quality of choices over quantity An original, pop/trip-hop OST | Listen Here! Multiple endings for each route Platonic, sexual, romantic, aromantic, and polyamorous relationships Ren'py accessibility features such as alt-text, self-voicing, and text size Development Progress We have a short demo with all art assets, animation, and music. If we fund our kickstarter, our estimated game release date is July 2022. We will be releasing the game all at once. The base game has around 63,000 words and 10+ endings, but we have stretch goals for two additional routes we're really hoping to put into the game!
  10. Super/Human Identity is a dark superhero origin story RPG/visual novel hybrid featuring complex companion group dynamics, romances, action, tough choices and vast variability. Me and my wife have been working on this game for more than a year now, and would love if you checked out the demo on Itch.io and gave us your thoughts. Anything you could do to help us spread awareness of our Kickstarter would also be greatly appreciated. Genre: Dark Superhero Drama Platforms: Demo available on Steam and Itch.io for Windows and MacOS. Release: Oct 2021 Website: www.rockarolegames.com Twitter: @RockARoleGames Facebook Indiedb Warning: This game contains mature themes, including violence, strong language, use of alcohol, and optional consensual sexual content. Available on Kickstarter now! ABOUT In Super/Human Identity, you wake up with superpowers in an unfamiliar facility, the designation “Subject 5" your only clue to a former life you have no memory of. On the run, fighting for your life, you join up with Subjects 1-4. Together, you must cross a ruined city to get to safety and find answers. Beset by an external threat as well as internal conflict, you have to navigate alarming revelations and difficult choices, before finding your freedom. The choices you make as Subject 5 will have a significant impact on your experience. They will – directly or indirectly – affect your companions' attitudes, identities, and relationships with each other, making for major differences in the group dynamics form one playthrough to the next. Any two characters can end up as friends or bitter enemies, and no one is safe from death. Super/Human Identity also allows you to play as the character you want to play. Plenty of dialogue choices means that Subject 5 only says what you want them to say, without being forced to act a certain way. Your control extends to your physical appearance, with two different avatars to choose from, and your pronoun, with three options. As a queer studio, it is also important for us to be inclusive to the LGBTQIA+ community, and try to ensure that no matter who you are, you will be able to play a character who is like you. One aspect of this is our six romances, with both male and female love interests who are available for all genders, and a choice of whether to turn the relationship sexual or not. KEY FEATURES • Choose your avatar, pronoun and name as you develop your main character into who you want them to be with nuanced choices. • Influence each of your companions' fates. Will they live or die? Who will they become if they survive? • Experience different group dynamics as a consequence of your choices. Any two characters can be friends or bitter enemies. • Romance one of 6 different characters – 3 male and 3 female – available for all genders. • Think fast and use your telekinetic powers on the environment to defeat enemies. Choose between 4 difficulty settings ranging from Narrative to Superhuman. • 7+ hours long, highly interactive, narrative gameplay. One story with vast variability. • Stylized, cel-shaded characters and backgrounds, with gorgeous painted CG artworks illustrating key story moments. • Epic, emotional, soundtrack from composer Edwin Montgomery (Warhammer 40,000: Regicide, Wasteland Remastered, Ghost In The Shell, Neverwinter). 11. This is a Chaos;Child-esque animation to "Delusion of Zero" - a short story to Chaos;Head written by SciADV scenario writer Hayashi Naotaka. Recounting the memories of 'Shogun', it serves as prequel to the events of Chaos;Head and sheds some more light on his intentions as well as his past in general: I plan on adapting the story in three parts, with part one and two (Black Sky and Blue Sky) being an introduction as well as the main part (Shogun's POV) respectively. The "introduction" is a slightly altered and truncated remake of the AA ending (Noah's "Blue Sky" ending), leading up to the point where Delusion of Zero starts off. The altered script is supposed to serve as more suitable exposition, as Delusion of Zero could be seen as sort of midquel. The first two parts I'll upload today, the remaining third part focusing on Rimi's epilogue I'll upload as soon as I find the time to finish it. ---------------- Previously there has been an in-game rendering done by a group around spiderfreak1011. If you liked my version, please consider to check out their one as well:

  13. Hello everyone, I've spent a fair amount of time trying to come up with a good story idea for a visual novel and was wondering if I could get some opinions on a pretty high-level description of my idea. This story would be a sci-fi/mystery visual novel that in its beginning stages, would follow five short character stories, which would be used as a means of introducing each of these individual characters. in these stories, each character is in their senior year and are trying to decide on a college to go to. basically, after their introduction, this university, which I have yet to come up with a name for, would use varying methods to try and influence these 5 students to attend the university. Be it through scholarships, a good athletic program, or a good program for their major, all five of these students are convinced to attend this university. mind you, the person who they are corresponding with is willing to give/say anything in order to convince these five characters to attend. I would release these 5 stories in a sort of episodic format as I completed them. As for the UI, It would have huge significance to the story. basically, the UI would have a sort of futuristic but slightly buggy/distorted look to it. On the bottom of the screen would be five generic silhouettes that would represent each of the five characters. Periodically, I would change the text on the screen to things like "Searching for candidate," etc. Upon completion of one of these stories, I would change the status to "Candidate located" and at that point, the generic silhouette would be replaced by the actual character's silhouette, and the story would become playable. upon completing the character's story, their silhouette would be replaced with their actual character sprite, and the status would change to "Candidate acquired" for a short time before returning to "Searching for candidate." Along with this, files on this futuristic desktop would be unlocked, and become viewable. These files would contain various different images, documents, and sound files, that would both be a means of world-building, and would also give away some juicy details of the overarching story. Once all five of these stories are completed, I would set to work on writing the final, long story. In which, all five characters, along with one new, very significant character, of which you play from the perspective of, would meet at this University. This final story would be pretty relaxed, until the characters start noticing odd things about the university, and slowly builds up until they try to get to the bottom of whats going on. Essentially, for the mystery aspect, what I have at this point is that the MC of the final game was the son of an esteemed inventor. this inventor's life goal was to create the first truly sentient artificial intelligence capable of feeling emotion and thinking for itself. He passed away before he was ever able to completely achieve his goal. However, he did manage to create the most advanced AI to date. before his death, he told this AI to do whatever was necessary, short of letting anyone come to harm, to create the first truly sentient AI. this gave the inventor a little bit of comfort prior to his passing, as he thought if this AI he created could do it, in a small way, he would have achieved his goal. Upon the inventors passing, the AI began formulating a plan to achieve its inventor's goal. the AI's plan was to attempt to get five people together in the correct environment, where they would have adequate funding and resources to create this first sentient AI. (you see where I'm going with this ). The AI essentially builds a university around itself via the use of robotic, humanoid puppets to found the university, and do all the things it could not, being stuck in place and all. money was no object as the inventor was very successful in many other endeavors and left it all to the AI. the AI then began searching for the best candidates. A few random ideas as well I thought I'd mention: I have an idea for the climax of this final story in which the characters finally find the truth, and find the AI. upon entering the inventor's workshop and finding the AI, the player would immediately notice that on the central screen would be an exact replica of the UI of the game. thus telling them that the answer was in front of their face the whole time. I've also considered a plot thread in which the humanoid puppets that the AI controls sort of have a will of their own, and desire to be truly sentient. Upon completing the game one final set of files would become unlocked. showing the POV of one of the humanoid puppet AI's being created. their body would be in disrepair of course as they would still be in the process of being built. many other projects of the inventors would be visible. the AI would look around before finally focusing on another, humanoid AI, this one in far worse shape. The player would recognize it as the character that led all five of the other characters to the university. however, this AI is not being controlled by the inventor's AI and is acting of its own volition. I've thought about using them as a villain for a future game. Thank you for reading my story idea. any feedback or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!

  15. WATCH THE TRAILER "She's perfect." Clint married the girl of his dreams and moved to a new city with her. He was ready to navigate the highs and lows of their relationship, but nobody expected things to go out of control. Artificial Iridescence is a kinetic visual novel that tells the story of long-time sweethearts, Clint and Ava. In between lifestyle adjustments and a secret project, they learn to compromise. But when the gravity of how far reality is from how they imagined it to be, they realize that there's more to marriage than playing house. Forced to face the consequences of their choices, can they survive as husband and wife?
  16. So I've been working really hard on this VN for the last few months and I'd love to get more feedback of this game. Spectra is a Different Visual Novel that takes your expectation and throws them straight out of the window. You play yourself as you try to help out a mysterious personified color to fix the program they inhabit and to get the Art program Spectra to run again. But beware! Everything isn't always what it seems and things will go crazy the longer you play. The Game is about 2 hours long and features a lot of choices as well as a literally colorful cast of characters. Check it out here: https://daleeny.itch.io/spectra Feel free to tell me what you liked and disliked about the game so I can update Spectra and make it even better over time! Thank you for your time!
  17. Project Introduction My First Castellan is Elysium Studios' first visual novel and it's a romance-mystery in an alternate history universe. Visual Novel Synopsis Ever thought you had a bad day at work? Harlequin Beaumont has you beat. You see, he just got a sweet job as Castellan of Vernon and on his first day in town, his family’s reputation as a bunch of party animals precedes him. This, of course, makes him seem like a young, naive fool to his new personal assistant, Ruby Fox. After trying to joke around with the castle’s security staff, he proceeds to his room to retire for the night… only to be held down and injected with a magical elixir. When he wakes up three days later, he finds his best friend, the Crown Prince of Cordonia, at his bed side… and he is now a she. You both work together to try to hunt down the truth of the conspiracy against you as you fulfill your obligations as Castellan. Navigating both the Royal Court and the nobility, as well as Cordonia’s seedy criminal underbelly, you can discover a plot that stretches to the highest levels of Cordonian society that leaves you wondering, can you really trust anyone? In Episode One, you get to know Northwinter, the capitol of Vernon and your new home. And what better way than a festival? After you are installed as Castellan of Vernon, you get thrown into the celebration of the Greater Feast and culminating with the Winter Solstice. However, the conspirators who changed Harley left something very important behind: one of their own! Because of the crowds and tourists, he's having a hard time leaving Northwinter. Your objective is to hunt him down while not panicking the crowd and get the details about what happened to you. Staff or Team Members Apart from myself, we also have Madison Taylor (artist from the Least Likely Magical Girl web comic) doing the background art and DaphInteresting (character artist who did the Panzermadels art) doing the character art. Matthew Myers (L33tMusic) is doing the original sound track, Atomic-Invasion is doing the logo and GUI, and WhiteCharisma is finishing up the trailer. Progress The project is 100% written and since we've gotten to the point where we've gotten as much assets as we could with the resources we have, we're going to be launching a Kickstarter soon. Background art is around 10-15% completed, character art is 7% done, the theme song for the OST is done, and we're working to get started on the GUI. Originally, the game was a one-off, 100,000 word VN but after serious thought and introspection, we decided to make it into a series because the pacing was wrong doing it in one go with only 100,000 words. We're aiming for an August early release on Steam/itch.io and a December full release. Extra relevant information My First Castellan on itch.io Contact info: [email protected]
  18. Hello! I'm here again to represent the original work of my team. We called ourselves The Wrecking Crew. Previously we've created a meme card battle visual novel called Dark Lords Don't Give A . Now, our current ongoing project is called CloudNovel Breakdown. Before we start, you need to know that The Wrecking Crew is basically a gathering of CloudNovel developers who want to have fun by trolling players. Kinda like a stress-reliever break from our actual, serious project. So yeah, from times to times, we gathered together and do a small project like this. A HEAVY WARNING: Do not play our game if you're depressed, stressed or anticipating a serious game. STORY Play as the main character (customizable name), a noob developer in an engine CloudNovel. As she is about to publish her first visual novel, a bug occurred! Now, she is responsible to go on the journey, entering the visual novels' worlds one by one to find a magic button that will reset the server as well as fixing all the bugs. Story Origin Actually, the story is inspired by the actual incident that happens in CloudNovel. At that time, the users of CloudNovel was growing in numbers so we had to move to a new server to accommodate those numbers. However, after we moved, something went wrong with the server where the site would slow down abruptly and sometimes just inaccessible. Thus, while we're waiting for the server company to fix this problem, the only temporary solution to solve this was by asking the site owner, Sonya to press the reset button. SO here comes the actual, real and unofficial description of the game. You create a game, you publish it, a bug happens. Called site owner, wait for the bugs to be fixed, but oh shoot! Your bugs are contagious! You are forced to enter the visual novel world to find that magic button in the hope it will fix the engine. NOTE: Due to your contagious bug, the visual novel worlds you entered would have bugs too. Anyway, we hope you a safe journey. FEATURES: We worked with several artists/developers/writers to do this. Each of them will make their own visual novel inside the game. So we will have different styles of art and for non-artist developers cum writers, they will be using a free art material. So in other words, features we'll be having are: FREE! Different art style from different artists (including unfinished art) or free-to-use art Different genres of story (all-in-one VN) Bugs, many bugs Sometimes, MC would transmigrate to a different body in certain worlds, so MC can also be male sometimes. MAIN CHARACTER is a female character who is eager to try out a visual novel engine and somehow she ended up making a bug while she's trying to publish her first visual novel. Original MC Art by fluffness MC in another visual novel world Art by megumi ART AND SCREENSHOT Yup, we've made the MC cries a lot. Art by Haryu If you haven't realized yet, this is a meme game. We've made this for fun. This is our stress-reliever. If you decide to try playing this game, please do note that YOUR ENJOYMENT IS NOT GUARANTEED! We planned to release this game on the 1st April on CloudNovel site.

  20. KICKSTARTER || TWITTER Welcome to Love Shore, a city that transforms at night. The futuristic metropolis also just happens to also be populated with cyborgs, old gods hidden in the depths of a criminal underground, and humans eager to crawl their way to the top, no matter what the cost. After a fertility crisis changed the landscape of the city for good, a single company stepped in to help the residents: Life S. Incorporated, a biotech firm that claimed to be able to build life out of raw DNA, creating a fully formed human with thoughts, feelings, and morality of their own. Their minds, physical appearance, and personality would be drawn from their parents’ DNA, but the children would be ‘born’ using artificial bodies. This new generation would be called the S.Humans: a non-aging, tough form of new life. Love Shore is a visual novel game that takes concepts we've always loved in sci-fi, action, and horror and blends them together to create something wild. It features a queer, diverse cast, a seemingly endless city, and a story of coming into yourself and doing what you think is right…with a heavy dose of drama and violence mixed in for good measure. Love Shore features two playable protagonists with four romanceable options, each with their own storylines. The cast is entirely LGBT+. The game’s projected features will include 12 chapters, 24 possible endings, 60 CGs, 25 unique locations, and an original soundtrack. Follow one of two protagonists, Farah or Sam, as you investigate the city's criminal underbelly, and help your companions on their quests for redemption, love, and power. Love Shore has a cast of vastly different individuals, from S.Humans to Gods. Each person is unique in their motivations and in the way they interact with the world, and with you. Be careful to choose your friends and lovers wisely. Protagonists Love Shore is a vast and intricate city, and you’re going to need some local help to find out what’s going on. Each of your companions have different strengths, weaknesses, and connections that can either help or hinder you. Your companions can be your love interests, or you can just pursue true bromance: the choice is yours. All companions in Love Shore have an approval rating for Sam or Farah, based on their interactions with them, and these ratings can unlock new dialogue and different paths! If you want to check out all the companions, check out our Kickstarter! THE TEAM The beautiful sprites featured in Love Shore (as well as all the CGs) are done by Kabo. They are the lead character designer with a deep love for fashion and neon. (Hence, perfect for Love Shore). Zi is the amazing individual behind all the environments you see in game! She is an illustrator and concept artist who loves doing promotional work inspired by film. And that beautiful menu you see above? That’s by our UI Designer Sonja, who contributes a retro-sleek and professional look to the game. Besides being a huge memer, they have worked on a variety of design projects and games, both personal and professional. Son M. and Emmett are the co-writers of Love Shore, who additionally moonlight as producers for the game. Jason is a freelance programmer, and founder of indie gamedev studio Stray Basilisk. He's a dedicated sci-fi nerd, and card-carrying Philip K Dick and Stanislaw Lem fanboy. Jason joined the team to help bring Perfect Garbage's creative vision for Love Shore into reality. Jayson is the musical brains behind our soundtrack. He is an independent artist, musician who makes his own music and has worked on sound design for a handful of projects. Our theme song (the one that plays during the credits/menu) was composed and produced by 1X4X44R exclusively for Love Shore. If you like the sound, check out their other music! We are trying to reach $50,000 on Kickstarter! It's a steep goal, I know, but to pay for the art fairly, the music and programming, it's the smallest amount we could ask! The majority of the funding goes straight into the art (53%). Art - 53% UI Design - 4% Game Development / Programming - 22% Sound - 2% Writing - 19% [DEMO FOR MAC OR PC] Features the “First Chapter” of Love Shore and acts as a World/Character introduction to showcase the art, music and storytelling that will be present in the completed game. Two main characters with completely unique, yet intertwining stories to choose from Each character has four romanceable options Rated 17+ for mature language, sexual themes, and violence. THE DEMO DOES NOT INCLUDE MATURE CONTENT. The demo of Love Shore is a work in progress, showcasing our team’s abilities to produce a story of this caliber. There are no save/load options but should take only 30 minutes to play both character introductions. There are an estimated 12 chapters per route included in the final game. Thanks for taking the time to look over this! It's a project I'm very passionate about and I'm still learning my way, even during this kickstarter! Please Enjoy! KICKSTARTER

  24. Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share with you the VN I've been working on with some friends. After that, i wanted to share the peculiar history behind the development, as we've had many questions that can only be answered by asking you directly. It is important to us that you give us your feedback, whether you like the project or not (especially if you don't!): “Rejoice, brothers and sisters, for The Answer has been proclaimed. Blessed be those who know how to listen.” -Nova City foundation chronicles In a world torn apart by crisis, war and hunger, our old leaders faced a dilemma: either find an answer to the conflict or leave humanity to its imminent destruction. They chose the answer. But this answer was not found, it was built. Nova City, humanity´s new hope Nova City is a vibrant symbol of hope and progress. It stands over the ruins of the war-torn world we left behind. Bursting with life and commerce, it seems unthinkable that the city itself is also a massive computer built to house “The Answer”: a system created to govern in the most rational and optimized way, excluding humanity from the exercise of political power. The Answer has brought prosperity to Nova City, and its citizens have lived devoid of major conflicts for over two centuries. Inside an apartment of this city, you wake up to find a tarot card that someone must have slipped under your door. The message is clear: The Fortune Teller has chosen you as the next victim. Afraid to leave your apartment, you rush to your computer to make a call that will change the lives of many people (or even end them) as the delicate balance of power in the city begins to shift. Embark on this noir tale of mystery and intrigue that will pit humanity’s reason against our own inevitable emotional nature. Game & Features From the start, you have locked yourself in your apartment to hide from the serial killer called "The Fortune Teller". In such a predicament, you’ll be interacting with Nova City and its people through your computer’s screen. From your computer, you’ll be able to make calls, tap into people’s phones and gain access to confidential information. You’ll also be able to hack into security systems in order to, for example, tail someone through traffic light’s camera feeds. During the course of the story, you’ll be able to create alliances with Nova City’s most important factions, gaining powerful friends (and enemies) in the process. Hacklist is currently being developed for PC/Mac. Features: Emotion Compass: Allows you to see how people feel, and how their emotional state changes as you touch certain topics. This will allow you to call bluffs, understand people better, push them to act in certain ways or set the mood for intimate conversations. Profiler: You'll have access to police reports for everyone you speak to. The profiler updates itself as new events unfold, and will give you some insights and hints about your contact's personality, letting you know how people may react differently to the same emotions. Hacklist also presents some new mechanics to the usual VN structure in the form of Apps you can use at any time during your experience: Skall: A videochat app where most dialogues/scenes will happen. Watermelon News: A social network where you'll be able to read people's posts and Nova City News. Remote.hack: Access networks, hack into security cameras, tap phones, and get into other people's computers to reveal their darkest secrets. The story behind the story... (and how your opinion will decide the changes we'll make) So! We're a team of 6 living and working in Caracas, Venezuela. This is a project born a couple of years ago in a itch.io game jam, back when it looked like this: (and yep... that's me!) After the jam, the project leads wanted to continue the project. I couldn't at that time because of my job, so they formed Caustic Games to do it. That's how the second version of Hacklist was born. It was a much more polished product, and it had a new cyberpunk/vaporwave style. This version was approved on Square Enix Collective, where you can still play the demo. (That's Kentai on the center. They grow up so fast! *sniff*) (A screenshot of our pseudo-antagonist Clive Jackson. Remember the name, we'll come back to him in a bit!) The campaign was successful, and we received a lot of feedback that helped us detect some flaws we had. Around this time, 2 of the main artists left the project, and the remaining artist and myself (i had just joined the team) couldn't accurately replicate the previous artist's style, so we were forced to abandon a style we liked in favor of making a new one that we could handle better. Eventually, we rewrote the whole story, keeping the same characters and archetypes mostly intact. But this story was to be set in a futuristic utopia, rather than the bleak future from the previous cyberpunk setting. After some time, we decided that a futuristic Art Deco setting was perfect for the mood of future, progress and empowerment we wanted Nova City to irradiate. ...And then we hit a pretty hard roadblock: none of the characters we were designing were aesthetically cohesive with either the tone and setting, or the environment itself. So we started to make some tests on styles for the characters... ...then we made some more... ...and MORE... We finally set out to define the style and technique we would have for the in-game art, and it went down to these three versions of Clive Jackson (the guy i told you to remember from the previous version!): Aaaand that's where we stand now! we decided internally to go with the third option, as we felt the technique blended better with the background and the character was designed to resemble an Art Deco statue, from the volumetrization to the edgy style from illustrations of the 1920's, 30's and 40's. The thing is, we kind of went open minded about changing the anime style to something that better reflected the world where the story is taking place, but none of us has seen more than a handful of non-anime visual novels, and have no idea if this art style is actually appealing or if it is, on the contrary, something that would disuade readers. Here's where you come into play! We need your feedback and opinion about the project, as asking you guys directly is the only possible way for us to know we're on the right track. We would love it if you took the time to watch the concepts, mockups and screens and tell us, honestly, which images do you find more appealing, and if the current state of art style is something you might want to see in a VN. Do you think non-anime style in VNs is something detrimental? or do you think it-s a welcome change of routine? Please let us know what you think! Thank you for reading through the end! Anything you can comment on the project is a HUGE help for us! -Jorge Veloso AKA "Vel", Artist at Caustic Games Our Team Hacklist on Facebook VNDB entry still in progress...
