tenshi25
PURE X CONNECT https://vndb.org/v16166 Description From the developers that brought you Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~ Usami Hayato has yearned for a heart-throbbing romance for a long time, but instead is bored wasting time away everyday. He wishes to fall in love like in an eroge, but everyone just makes fun of him for it. His time came when he was asked to work part-time at a popular bakery restaurant named La Pivoine which just happens to be a garden filled with pretty workers. With the chance laid upon him, he thought its time to kiss his single life goodbye. Project Staff Translator: @tenshi25 Editor: @Meat_Bun1 Ryner Hacker: @Porygon2 Image Editor: @Philly Progress Common route patch released! Link Just extract patch inside game folder(Note: Large patch filesize is due to 900+ images). Patch is for original release, it will not work on HD version. Update: A guy contacted me letting me know he was working on a patch for just the HD version, he has a different translation for the common route, but we agreed to work together for the character routes(I intended to release a different version of my translation with honorifics, but his translation already has them, so I'll scrap that). Also, by working together we should be able to have both translations for both versions of the game. littleshogun
Congratulation on the surprise release. Anyway, I'm curious on how the progress ongoing until now because the last time I follow this was two years (Or whether you'll continuing on it). If you're still continuing this after common route patch release, then good luck.
Satsuki
I really hope you have a better solution for the next patch, because holy hell, having to put a massive cluster of files right into the main game folder is a terrible idea. That's Eushully-level of bad.

I disagree, it isn't a terrible idea at all and nothing wrong with it either, the size isn't going to change to matter what you do when patching and they use the same number of files rather it is English patched or Japanese. Sisulizer
BGI can read scripts from this path Script\CVTD\{thing related to script} and for images: Graphic\CVTD\{thing related to image}. If it's still disabled, you have to disassemble ipl._bp to enable it. See this image: Change push_byte(0x0) to push_byte(0x1)
rimvydasm
Just finished reading the common route, it was fun read, thank you for translating it. Looking forward to your next update.

Now it is, when I quoted this comment, the image was still loading for me on mobile. Weirdly the image is only loading on mobile. No it's not, unless SMEE somehow butchered the engine so badly it became like this. Case in point, Koichoco used the exact same engine as this game, and the translation team managed to pack all of this mess into a few arc files, with all of the images and UI into just 4 arc files. I mean, I know that some people are even fine with having their very desktop littered with files and folders, but having it a bit more tidy is just much better, yeah? As said someone working on the HD version of Pure x Connect, I don't find the files too annoying. Certainly there were about 300 UI images, but there sort of had to be with all the mouse hovering animations. I honestly like how separated the files are as someone who has to muck around with them. Each .arc file has a specific role ([CommonRoute].arc, [RouteA].arc, [MessageImagesType1].arc, [MiscImages].arc, etc.) and the file numbers are sequenced in a way makes it easier to navigate (system files -> scripts -> images -> audio -> animations). Packing everything into only 4 .arc files (in particular regards to this game) would be my absolute nightmare (and SMEE's) I tell you. Edit: My bad, out of curiosity I decided to look at the patch file linked above and yeah that really is a lot to have in the root directory. It looks like SMEE fixed this problem in the HD version hence my ignorant comment above. Look forward to a more elegant HD patch when it is complete.
