NadiaEros Posted November 10 Posted November 10 One of CLOCKUP’s visual novels titled “DEAD DAYS” recently got released in MangaGamer, fully translated into English. This looks interesting given that I’m a big fan of CLOCKUP’s visual novels, especially for Euphoria. I even brought myself to play their first visual novel they ever made titled “Kegareta Eiyuu ~Jain Seijo Gari~” and I really enjoyed it. I even reviewed it on my personal blog. However, why hasn’t Fraternite been translated yet? It's already been 10 years since CLOCKUP released this visual novel and a lot of people have been talking about it, giving it reviews and what not but I’m surprised that there hasn’t even been an unofficial English translation available on vndb. What could be the reason why? I know it's extreme but there are other visual novels just as extreme if not more than Fraternite such as Maggot Baits and SaDistic BlooD which contain explicit gore content and they’ve been translated into English. Why is Fraternite’s English translation being left out in the dark despite being one of CLOCKUP's highly known visual novel? Quote
Silvz Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I mean, nobody knows. You'd have more luck asking on Mangagamer's or Shiravune's discord channels, and even there I'd doubt someone would reply, as plans for localizations are kept in secret until they are announced. If it isn't available yet, it's probably because no company thought it would be viable to sell it in English. NadiaEros 1 Quote
littleshogun Posted December 5 Posted December 5 (edited) Looking from the tags on VNDB, maybe it's because the game would be hard to sale if we know on how some people can be sensitive when it come to a certain contents, especially among the Steam reviewers. Also for the contents, while arguably it may not as disturbing as Maggot Bait or Sadistic Blood, sometimes it took more than very extreme sex scenes to make the VN very disturbing (And I know on how Sadistic Blood sex scenes can be very extreme). As for my opinion, let's just say I would prefer Mangamer or Shiravune (With the latter has higher chance to release Fraternite) released something else, although if they want to release this than so be it. PS - In case you want to read another translated Clock Up VN after Dead Days, then you can read Nemurenu in which Shiravune will release it in five days later.
