Okay, it's the first of the month (for a sufficiently large value of 'first of the month').  Time for an update!

About 4400 lines were transledited in a month.  I decided to change things up a bit and focus on character routes for awhile.  Makes a nice change of pace from working on the main story, and I'm quite a bit farther in the main story than in the side routes; the main story is about 63% done, where the side routes are about 35% done.

Shoku

    Main                             63% (6495/10321)
    Battle                       100% (299/299)
    Aisha, Touka                 37% (1546/4137) (+16%)

Not quite time for a status update yet.  I just can't resist posting this here.

犬のくせに、その声に興奮しているのか、セキトは鼻先をさらに下の方に移動させて、焔耶の股間に狙いを……。

He's just a dog, but Enya's sweet husky voice seems to drive Sekito wild, and he starts nosing around wildly. Towards Enya's crotch...

って、お前はバター犬か!

Now, literally the above line means "Hey! You're not a butter dog!" - which doesn't seem like it makes a lot of sense in context, does it?  Oh, yes it does.  SKM is actually referencing this urban legend!  This old saw is so old, it got memed before meme was even a verb!  More to the point, how popular is this story, if Japanese eroge writers have heard of an English-language urban legend?

Okay, update time.  I know it's not the first of the month, but there was no way I was going to try using Fuwa while that April Fools' thing was up.  It turns out not to matter because I've been, uh, 'busy' the last few days.  Busy playing Prey.  Which is an awesome game, and if you haven't tried it you really ought to look into it.

Once again, anyone interested in joining our project can just PM me! If you wanna show your support in another way, feel free to like our Facebook page. We're gonna update it with the latest news and whatnot.

What are you looking for?  I do not know Japanese and I do not know computer programming but I write for a living as a lawyer so I could edit perhaps if that was needed.  Also love to beta test as I bought the first game from mangagamer and wold love to see series continue

Trying to find a TLC and editor all in one is very hard to do, let alone find one for such a daunting project as this. I truly hope you find one though as I, as well as many others, have been looking forward to this VN for quite some time. Best of luck.

That's basically why I got involved.  They needed someone willing to do this.  That person needs to be able to translate as well; large parts of the script are shaky, especially the stuff translated early.

Well, nobody else seemed interested.  And I want to play SKM.  I had been planning to wait for Nocturnal Illusion (my other project) to release first, so people would have a feel for my skill level other than my say-so; but it didn't work out that way.  (A good thing, too; I got involved with SKM 18 months ago or so.)

Wait, is this really dead?

I got a bit confused about the rip comment as well, but it has to be aimed at the rejected offer for an editor because the project itself is certainly not dead.

It been a while, and sprry for the double post

how goes things over here?

As far as translation concerned, it's still ongoing albeit with few lines translated for each week. So yeah it's still going and you didn't need to worry about this for now. Keep in mind that the line count is quite big (At 100,000 lines) and it's only 28% edited as of now, so it'll be a while before we finally saw Shin Koihime Musou released.

I actually think this Gi is getting TL'd much much quicker than Shoku did. It seems he stopped doing TL and edit at the same time and just focused on the TL for now. The real question is if there is going to be a partial patch for each kingdom or if they are only doing 1 patch for the whole game.
