How do I save/load on Umineko? (SOLVED)

Today I downloaded Umineko, the game is working okay, but I've got no idea how to save it. I open the save option, but there are no slots to click at all, I try to spam click but nothing happens, I hit all the keyboard keys, nothing happened... actually, it did create a little save slot, but I can't click it on "load" box...

This is what the save menu should look like, the boxes are save slots, and the load menu should look the same but with more blue. If it's not working for you there must be something wrong with your game.

Is it the Ps3 version or the original ?

Yeah, something is clearly wrong with your game. First try reinstalling it, if that doesn't help, if you torrented it use the torrent client to check your torrents to make sure all of the files are intact and reinstall again.

Maybe the game is missing some files.

Have you tried checking your files on bittorent ?

I downloaded it from fuwa, and well I already removed the torrent from the seedings, because it causes problem if left there right? But, I just extracted the winrar archive, after that I wasn't sure what to do, because the game wasn't translated, There was this folder with "Grimoires", word archives, and files arc.nsa, so I extracted then to the main folder, replacing the old ones, that solved the translation problem, but then came this save problem. Am I installing it correctly anyway? Is there a guide?

No there is no installation.

You just have to extract the [Fuwanovel] Umineko no naku koro no 1-4 (PS3 Sprites + Voices).rar.

 

So either the extraction messed up, then you'll have to extract the files again.

Or redownload the torrent. If you didn't move the .rar from the place it was originaly, bitorrent should be able to find it again.

Then you'll be able to recheck.

If you run the game from the main folder you get the untranslated game. There should also be a folder called something like "0.99c[umiTweak][WH] Umineko English", you open it and run the .exe and the game should work. You'll most likely have to reinstall first, though, if you haven't already.

Okay, thanks Flutterz and maefdomn, extracting it once again worked. And yeah was pretty stupid of me not noticing the .exe in the english folder... Thanks again for your help.
