Ceris Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 How is it "better on the Vita" when it's the same game? And ever since an update like a month ago i haven't had the game crash a single time in 30+ hrs of gameplay. Quote
madvanced Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Or you just have shit taste. >me >shit taste oh erosaki, the laughs you give me. Quote
Seth Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Thanks for the tips, I didn´t know there was a steam version. I will probably buy a vita though, I´m not really a big fan of playing on the pc (and I need Persona 4 Golden anyway ) Quote
orochinagi Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I couldn't even get myself to pick that up... personally i'm a NIS fanboy since Disgaea (the very first one) and around the time that Hyperdimension Neptunia came out I had just been burnt twice by some games that somewhat disappointed me (Cross Edge & Trinity Universe). Please tell me the grind in the Neptunia Series isn't nearly as boring as it is on Trinity Universe (yes i've got a trauma with that one... painful painful platinum), is it? Reason for the question is that when I noticed that both games were from Idea Factory and/or Compile Heart so... >_> Quote
solidbatman Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Is that actually legit? Why would I lie? Crunchyroll reported one of them and Gematsu or whatever the other. I'm too lazy right now to bother digging up the links. Quote

And ever since an update like a month ago i haven't had the game crash a single time in 30+ hrs of gameplay. It's not the same game. It's better described as a remake, not a port, with new features, new voice acting, new visuals, and so on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperdimension_Neptunia_%28video_game%29#Hyperdimension_Neptunia_Re.3BBirth_1 Quote

Fred the Barber Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 My bad, I thought you were asking for differentiation between the original and the Vita version. I know nothing about the Steam port. Quote

Stray Cat Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 So it beings. Interesting so far, the story is meh but the gameplay is good. Quote
Stray Cat Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I'm on chapter 2, enjoying it so far. Question though, are materials for something or do I just sell them? Quote
Ceris Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 I kept all of mine. They're needed for all trophies, but you can't get all until the 2nd playthrough anyway. Also, you use materials to make a lot of random stuff, so that's a reason I keep them. Quote
Fred the Barber Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 They don't seem to sell for very much, and they are needed for making random stuff, so I avoided ever selling any. Quote
Ceris Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 You best bet is getting strong enough to grind risky enemies. There's a factory that I forget the name of at this moment, where if you turn on stronger enemies, you can fight these "Baby whales" that are relatively easy and give 3k+ credits per fight, that's how I afforded stuff early on. Stray Cat Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Welcome to the club! Equivalent exchange is required, after all. My Senran Kagura membership for your HDN membership. It could change since I'm only on chapter 2 but my initial impression is that this is not as good as SK. I'm interested to see what everyone is talking about though. Quote
Ceris Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Ah yeah, Mechtro Factory, haven't been able to,launch the game and check. From my experience, that's the easiest risky enemy with the highest payout I ran into during chapters 2/3. And yeah, it's like 3 to 3.5k credits iirc (if not more), which is nice if you need EXP too around that time. Quote
Stray Cat Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Wow, O.K. you guys weren't joking on the difficulty thing. There's no curve, it's just go from 1 to 10 between chapters. I have to say I find that very annoying to what could otherwise be a good game. The first part of the boss was fine, then Black Heart shows up and hands my ass to me on a silver platter. YOU DON'T DO JOINT BOSSES WITH NO HEALS IN CHAPTER 2! THAT'S JUST NOT DONE COMPILE HEART, THAT'S JUST NOT DONE! I can barely get through mechtro factory now, any other tips for leveling up? Quote
Ceris Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Try Zeca Ruins No. 1, iirc those enemies give a good amount of EXP for that time. What level are you now? I may have grinded the Whales after beating White Heart, since I beat her at 14 and I may be started grinding whales at 20 iirc. Quote
Stray Cat Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I cleared Zeca Ruins no problem. I'm at 11 now, at the story point where you have to clear the enemies from the trade route. Quote
Ceris Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Did you beat White Heart, or as that the part of the story you fight her? Anyway, yeah, I beat her at 14 after grinding at the Ruins for a bit. Pretty sure that is it because I have a lot of kills on those enemies and I remember being there a lot. Clearing a dungeon isn't enough, sometimes you have to grind levels. Once you get higher level and can fight risky enemies, leveling goes by a lot faster though. Quote
Fred the Barber Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I beat her by luck. The second time I fought her, she decided not to AoE kill my entire team at once. I kinda put Neptune on the shelf when I picked up Atelier Ayesha. No regrets. Ayesha is a better game in basically all ways, except maybe lewdness. Quote
Ceris Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Yeah, the first time she AoE insta killed my party. I only grinded 4 levels before I went back and she didn't do it. It was a long fight, but I had Compa healing, IF being target practice, and Neptune going ham. Quote
Stray Cat Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Just to clarify, it's Black Heart I'm facing not White Heart. Also, I feel like we're engaged in our own little war right here; Senran Kagura, Atelier and Neptunia. Although we're nothing compared to the mighty Love Live Empire. Quote
Ceris Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Oops, yeah, Black Heart. I get them mixed up because Black Heart has white hair White Heart is just brought up a lot recently in the story for me, so that's the name that came to mind. Quote
