Kegareta Eiyuu was the first eroge visual novel that CLOCKUP has ever made, at least according to VNDB. It was developed back in 2002 and eventually got an HD remaster in 2019. The story takes place in a fantasy world that is pretty similar to your typical Isekai anime. However, you might find this visual novel relatively disturbing.

The story mainly takes place in the Imperial Capital city of this fantasy world and the key region in the city is the Fata Morgana Palace where men are prohibited from entering. However, there are some special exceptions that allow men to enter, which was the case for the main male protagonist. What's interesting is that the visual novel showcases the protagonist to be the villain.

Main Protagonist (Hideo - Demon Form)

The main protagonist has the occupation of a priest and you can name him whatever you want, but his default name is Andersen. In the beginning of the visual novel, Andersen finds himself awake in the Fata Morgana Palace after being severely injured by a demon invasion. He was saved thanks to an angel-like elementalist named Aneirinn who healed his wounds. This was at the request of his sister Iria Regate who apparently has an incestous relationship with him. Afterwards, the visual novel introduces you to all the different characters that are associated with the Fata Morgana Palace. It allows you to select which places you want to go which is similar to the selection feature from Kara no Shoujo.

Fata Morgana Palace

After getting to know the characters, the story arrives in a bit of a twist. It turns out your not actually a priest but rather a former hero who joined the demon army. The personality of the priest gets erased while the personality of the former hero emerges in the priest's body. The visual novel gives you the option to give the main character a new name, but his new default name is Hideo. The background of Hideo essentially took place about 100 years ago. Apparently, Hideo had a sister named Lilfina which he cherished her more than anything else in the world. However, when their home got raided by demons and bandits, Hideo found Lilfina dead which ultimately broke him. As a result, he joined the demon army to seek revenge.

(Disclaimer: Iria is the sister of the priest Andersen while Lilfina is the sister of the former hero Hideo. Don't get confused. Iria and Lilfina are not connected in any way)

Hideo teamed up with the main antagonist of the story which is a succubus named Inertia and their main goal is to capture the princess of the imperial capital, Tristyna Eltorlida, to use her as a sacrifice in order to resurrect the demon king. Hideo is also associated with two other demons that possessed his arms which are Damsel and Zetro. They are only active during the night and have the tendency to harm anyone who gets in their way. They also have a strong fetish for making women suffer. In addition, Hideo is also associated to a pinked-haired girl whom you can also name her whatever you want but her default name is Kubiwan. She appears very frail and very submissive to the main character, but she does play a key role later on in the visual novel.

Ordered by the succubus Inertia, Hideo must infiltrate the Fata Morgana Palace in order to weaken its magical barrier to make it easier for capturing princess Tristyna. Hideo must also cause chaos to other regions outside of the palace during the night in order to spread the defense forces thin. You have the option to select what regions you want to attack. You can also choose whether you want to invade the region as either Damsel or Zetro. They acquire different H-scenes.

This visual novel is packed with a lot of stuff that you might find disturbing even though the genitals are censored. This involves gangrape, tentacles, bondage, mild gore and even futanari. However, you may find them relatively tame if you compare them to other visual novels such as Euphoria or Maggot Baits. There are some H-scenes that are more heartwarming, but they only contribute to a minority of all the H-scenes that exist in this eroge. One of the things that annoyed me the most was that the H-scenes were massively inflated. They don't contribute much to the main story so I ended up skipping most of them. However there was some dialogue in the H-scenes that are actually important for the main story, so I did take the liberty to read some of it.

The visual novel has a total of 7 different endings. One of them is a bad ending while the other 6 are relatively good endings where it involves the main character living happily with one of the key heroines of the visual novel. These key heroines are Creole, Iria, Mutsuki, Tristyna, Aneirinn and the two magical sisters Marika & Ririka. Their endings are acquired based on how frequent you visit them at the Fata Morgana Palace. It also depends on whether or not you decide to attack and rape them in the battlefield. Also, keep in mind that the more you sabotage the palace, the more likely you'll be able to win a fight against the heroines.

Overall, despite the H-scenes making me fall half-asleep, the story was quite compelling. It focuses on revenge that the main character seeks, and the visual novel provides you with answers on why its not worth it and you should just move on with your life, letting go of the past. Unfortunately, the eroge hasn't been translated so I had to rely on Textractor. In addition, the artwork was pretty good. I've played the remastered version of the visual novel, and looking at the art gave me this feeling of nostalgia. Of course they were developed back in the early 2000s so there's no surprise there. As for the music, it was really spot on. Some of them made me cry and even gave me goosebumps, especially during the battle scenes. It sure was quite the experience.
