Valentine's Day is upon us, it is the day to give something to the ones you care about and love without wanting anything in return (well, maybe some love would be nice), and today the Love Live community decided to give something to one of its precious members, maki~chan, AKA Akemi Chika. We know how much you love to play School Idol Festival and how much you like Maki, but it seems the game really is against you getting an Ultra Rare at the moment, and on top of that you just recently got out of surgery and can't really play properly for a while. This is most certainily unfair for such a dedicated member of Love Live. We want you to know we all care about your well being and want you to enjoy Love Live and be rewarded for it, so even though you don't have an Ultra Rare Maki yet (don't worry, you'll definitely get one!) me, cloudy12, Ceris, OriginalRen, Rose, Ezeefreak, Praeliator, CLuBLioN, Eclipsed and Zehel decided to get together to give you this very real Maki figure for valentine's! Two years ago, today, I was pulling out all the stops trying to get Aaeru and Steve (the last two hold-outs!) to contribute a quote to Ryoji's Happy Birthday/Get Well card. He was pretty sick at the time, and we were all worried about him. Aaeru wasn't really good at that sort of thing, and Steve was still enjoying the thrill of being obnoxious ( ) (< 3 steve), and I pretty much had to ruthlessly guilt-trip them into oblivion to make it happen. I still remember sitting in my grandparents' kitchen thinking about how time was running out: it was 11:00 PM my time (10P Ryoji's time) and the card still hadn't come together. I was madly hunting Steve down (PMs, chat channels, email -- whatever it took), and Aaeru was "idk what to say O.O"-ing for an hour over it. But I was close. So close. ... ... aaaand it didn't end up coming together in time. THANKS AAERU ( ) (< 3 aaeru). But that's okay: I did end up eventually getting extracting the quotes and sent him the card a day late. I don't think he'd mind if I shared it, so here it is for the memories: Fast forward two years to 2015. A lot has changed. A lot has stayed the same (such as the Gravity Green 2013 theme for all of those who haven't sold out to be FuwaFabulous). I had this very weird moment as I logged in today to wish Ryoji a happy birthday and started typing on his profile page where I realized that just one program over -- one ALT+TAB away -- in OneNote I have charted the next year or more of Fuwanovel's future. I had this crazy moment of deja vu and nostalgia oddly juxtaposed against all of the new plans. There were a lot of complex emotions. So. What am I saying? I suppose I simply wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on Fuwanovel for being here. Yes, it's just a hobby site, but I've made a lot of friends here and I have a lot of fun together with you. I think a lot of us have funny little FuwaMemories like this we occasionally remember, and that makes me happy. The next few months are going to be bumpy -- I'm dealing with some new site issues which will be tricky to resolve (but possible, thanks to Nay's jedi guidance and help) -- but I promise to do my best to make sure Fuwanovel is here in another two years, and two more after that. After all, somebody has to wish Ryoji a happy birthday 'round here. : ) Happy Birthday, Ryoji. And DrKleiner! And Fiya, Khodan, and Hidekyu! -- And Keaton and Checkmate!

I've said this before but i never found wasting money to be a way to show you love a girl, i doesn't make sense in my book. I don't need to spend money to prove Nico is my favorite character, going for top tiers is just wasteful imo. This is a game, not a competition to prove you like one of the girls more by throwing money away. That's why i always try to minimize my losses and don't overspend, it doesn't make sense, game wise, it's just temporary glory that anyone can achieve, it's a who's got the bigger wallet and time to waste competition, not a how much you love a girl competition. I've always thought like this, hence why i never even went for T1 and when i go for T2 i try to get it with the least amount of effort possible, and only when i like the girl and the card is worth it. If you have fun going for top tiers, that's fine, but to me it's just wasteful. And i certainly don't consider Nico less important just because i don't aim for rank 1, i love Nico outside of the scope of the game and don't need my wallet to prove that. To me, loving a character is acknowledging it and knowing within yourself you like that character, not having to flaunt it to everyone else and actually feeling that you need to spend money to assure yourself you like a character. So yeah, Lov2 Live SIF to me is a game, strategizing and not overspending are natural instincts to me. Nico is a character i love, not because of thw game, but because i've read about her and know about her and like everything about herm and that's all i need.

Hello everybody, I'm going to be busy all weekend working on front-site and behind-the-scenes stuff, so I'm going to post this now instead of next week. If anyone has questions or thoughts or suggestions, feel free to reply in this topic. Let me know you're interested by replying in this topic as well. Introduction to the Mentorship Program Experiment: New VN players will be able to easily request a player mentor who has some experience playing VNs and is willing to be a friend and contact as they begin this great adventure. The mentor will email/PM an introduction to the new player, talk about the VN player's first game (and, ideally, nerd out with them), suggest follow-up games based on the new player's preferences, and be willing to answer quick questions such as "How do I make my computer Japanese?" or "What is a senpai-sama?". Mentors will be given some resources (including answers to the above two questions and TL/OELVN game list suggestions) they can send to their mentees, and after the front site redesign there will be a large amount of additional material targeted at new players for your/their reference. Requirements: Played and enjoyed at least 2 VNs in the "Starter" list below: Capacity to nerd out about visual novels You need to be nice : P Some Fuwa Exposure: Been a member of Fuwanovel for at least 1 month and have >20 posts Each mentor can choose how many mentees she/he wants to have Starter VNs Katawa Shoujo Planetarian Narcissu Fate/Stay Night Clannad G-Senjou Sharin no Kuni (original game, not FD) More will be added with time What you'll do as a mentor: You'll get an email/PM with a new mentee's contact information You'll send that person a PM/email (based on their preferences) introducing yourself, telling a little about your history with VNs, and you'll attach a basic FAQ PDF pamphlet which I/Fuwa will provide to you After that, essentially, you just be nice and be a friend. Answer their questions, talk about the game they're playing, nerd out with them (Sakura = best girl), offer game suggestions, show them around Fuwa, help them find the next game to try, etc. Not a big time commitment, especially considering the demand will be slower as we're starting out Make friends! Interested? If you're interested in being a player mentor, let me know by posting below. The program is going to be slowly implemented, so you won't be given a mentee right away. It's why I have never been able to start Ikinari Anata ni Koishiteiru (Ikikoi). Something just grates on my nerves with that kind of banter, at least when excessive. Nice review though, may look at it after I finish Shikkoko no Sharnoth.

i don't know what's possessing me to play it(i'm looking at you,nini.) but i've spent about 12 hours playing Re-Birth1 -still in the 3rd chapter-,and most of it was me dying a gazillion times....which is mostly likely because whenever i enter a battle i just press random buttons and hope for the best,but i'm not sure......i'm just that bad at playing games don't judge. anyways,it's still enjoyable,and the references are,indeed,hilarious.

Michiru puts on the act for a very specific reason, and thus is part of her character. Once you meet that confrontation, you suddenly won't feel estranged by it and realize how natural it was for her to do it.

Haven't gotten to them yet, since they're only accessible on the second playthrough. I'm planning on making a thread with route summaries when I do, though. Haha, we have some amazing differences in tastes. Well, I guess Michiru's route was still better than Yumiko's at least, but either Amane's or Makina's was my favourite.

For the sake of recording the card side stories, which Umidah wants to get every single one, including URs and SRs, cychun, AKA Niccochi, AKA the largest whale, lent his account to Umidah, and Umidah signed onto it in the stream. It... is nightmare inducing... All 3 teams are of course all idolized URs, but that's not the scary part. almost all of these URs are level 2 in skill, if not 3. That means he has sooo many URs, he can feed them away to level skills without hurting his team. The rest of his SRs are nearly all skill level 4+, his Job Nico has a fucking level 7 ON AN SR! That's like 50+ SRs! Base stats of the teams are 47k, with assist, he can get up to 66k!!!! That's literally tens of thousands of dollars I'd say.

I wanted to "Like" all your posts, but it turned out there's a quota on how much I'm allowed to like you all I'll finish the job tomorrow, then.

The combat is easy, the enemy has health and a bar of defense, if u break the defense bar the enemy is a lot weaker but does more damage, power combos do damage, break combos break the guard and rush it's for more hits more hits= ex bar(special skills/attacks that requiere this thing) The dungeon enemies are easy most time, the problem are the bosses, u need to grind, do some quest and you are ready, it's generally easy but some bosses are hard This game has a synthesize system, u get material and plans and u make things and bough them in the shop, every dungeon has 2 options that u know creating the plan, risky/tough bosses optional powerful bosses that contains rare items and medals(medals are for exchange for disc that u need to custimize like more exp,money defense etc) The game has a lot of parodys, my favorite is MAGES is a parody female okabe from steins;gates (or something like that) The game is pretty funny, you can torrent the pc version and if u like it buy it since is the remake of the first one later u can buy the ps3 ones(or buy the remakes on vita or wait pc version)

Just started Katawa Shoujo tonight, despite promising myself I would start Muv-Luv next. I think the icon for Katawa Shoujo was what made the difference; it was too perfect to ignore. I'm two hours in and loving the common route so far. Kenji is best insane sidekick.
