NO kazuki does not have a route exactly. and only the first game (kaijitsu follows a route structure). Also while there are scenes involving sex between asuka etc. it doesn't really feel like mother/child because, though she raised him, it was quite militarised, and the relationship was not exactly lover-type love. While a lot of the story will be spoiled, there is a LOT that won't be and it is a great read regardless. (One of my friends watched it after the anime and still loved it). Further in Kaijitsu, the routes are actually different, except for Amanes flashbacks , i.e. while the underlying problems of the girls are the same as well as certain events, the routes do diverge differently. I had actually watched kaijitsu, before playing it and I still teared up at multiple places. It basically got me into VN's. Kaijitsu (the first one) has has 5 routes, one for each girl. The second game, meikyuu proposes an alternate universe where every route happens, and continues from there. This probably has a lot of what you are looking for as it shows yuuji's past, and his relationship with his sister in great detail. It is a lot darker than saku saku though. If you have watched the anime though you do know what happens later. Rakuen acts as a conclusion to this, and as every girl's route happens, it is basically a harem ending. So while it has a lot of what you want, there is no dedicated route for kazuki. And kazuki is a loli so that could be a dealbreaker. She doesn't feel younger, such as in the case of suzu so you should be okay there (actually, even though makina was 18+, I had a lot more trouble with her, felt like having sex with your daughter [she actually calls him papa] . I loved makina a lot though ~) EDIT Also in terms of quality the VN is far, far superior. They basically tried to put every route of a 50+ hr VN in 13 episodes. A lot of what made the VN so good is yuuji's inner monologue which is completely butchered in both the anime and the non 18+ version of the VN

They even changed image translation ON bat after last patch. Why you ask? It is simple. Look at protagonist name. Asaba. Asa-ba-ka. Asa-ba-t. Bat can be mean as idiot, referring to

Eromanga-sensei. I'm one of the people who proudly like it and think it's a genuinely good show. It's best seen as a comedy, not because it's in the so bad it's good demographic, because it actually for the most part is a comedy. It just has a bunch of lewd humor to go along with the story, which honestly isn't that bad. I really like the way that Sagiri and Izumi push each other and the way their relationship develops. I think most people have a problem with the age of the characters, but I could not care less about that. In fact, it sort of makes it better that the characters are this old since it makes some of the humor more jarring, thus more funny to me. I would have more sympathy for the anti-Eromanga crowd if they didn't act like they were exaggerating every time they talked about it. Like when they talk about Eromanga's humor saying that most of it is unoriginal, I have to disagree as I find that most of the jokes are actually very original because of how far they take the lewd and uncomfortable aspects of the humor. They also say there's a ton of fanservice and that Sagiri's panties are constantly shoved into our faces, but that's completely wrong. There is some fanservice, but it's not like there some every single second of the show and every time there is some, it's almost always justified within the plot, rather than just getting suggestive angles in unnecessary places. I've even heard people say that Eromanga-sensei looks bad visually. People can say what they want about Eromanga-sensei, but saying it looks bad is just disingenuous. Eromanga-sensei actually looks pretty damn good, and looking back at Oreimo, it's amazing how much better Eromanga is than that show. It's actually a lot better than a lot of the other anime I've seen this year. If you want an anime that looks bad, then there's plenty of anime to choose from, but Eromanga-sensei is not one of those. The Eromanga-sensei hate bandwagon that has surged this year is probably one of the most obnoxious I've seen yet. Especially since Gigguk made some unfunny memes about it and now people are repeating it when justifying why they like Eromanga-sensei instead of actually defending it, so now there's nobody who is trying to look at the good of the show, but rather they just say it's bad but they like it, which is not a way of thinking that I will ever agree with. If you like something, don't just say that it's bad despite your opinion, because somewhere the show resonated with you, and you shouldn't be trying to ignore that.

I don't think they are using machine translation. Just ching-chong english. Did you know in China some people using english language? Thats why they even include english in some console games with same translation. SAO HF for example: I mean MT is on much worse level. But yes, even that way is unacceptable for official release. At least they are not cuting/censore it like moenovel or NISA(god I hate them!)...

With Grisaia, I saw the anime, so I guess you are talking about Asako/Yuria/Kazuki? I did like them stories and hope I can play a "route" of them, I was pretty into Asako -.-. However having watched the anime I cannot see how they would have routes of their own, paticularly through all games, Asako and Kazuki for obvious reasons =/. Is each VN Kajitsu/Meikyuu/Rakuen its own VN with its own routes? I am interested in playing the VN, but worried that I wont enjoy them having already seen the anime (spoiled alot of the story). I watched the anime for Yoake, is the VN still worth playing? I did quite like the older cousin character, and also Karen, but Karen has no route =( YU-NO does look a bit old for my liking. Mother/Step Mother in the same criteria I have not even managed to find one, I guess you could argue Asako from Grisaia is a stepmother.

+1 for To Heart 2's Tama-nee, as an older sister type, but not technically an older sister. Same with Supipara's Sakura, though their personalities are a bit different... 11Eyes is probably the closest to fitting the bill, but the fan translation is frankly painful to read: literally thousands of typos (and I really do mean that literally, not figuratively), and massively overblown prose. Seconded (I wanted both the step mother and the nurse), I am hoping for a proper route for them in a fandisk some day =(. I swear there is not alot of love for older sister type romances

The translation is what is shit... the game itself, while not top-tier, was good before Mikandi's hired translators got to it.
