SOLVED!!! Was able to find another packing tool called BGI_Pack_Tool by crskycode on github. Tested with a file used early on in the game (the one that had me most miffed) and it now works as it should, I shall now do away AE VN Tools... at least for BGI engine projects. In any case thanks for any of those who read and tried to help me out before I found a solution, I'll be back if I have any more technical difficulties...

A few more Shuumatsu no Walkure (Worth it for the awesome battles) Hyouken no Majutsushi (Deep lore, solid protagonist, some Fate-like plot twists, if not as well-executed as Fate is in general) Ragna Crimson (probably the closest to what you want, in my opinion) Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha (Series diverges massively from the original material toward the end, but it is still cool to watch) Saihate no Paladin (though this is more traditional pre-isekai fad fantasy) Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita (Protagonist is mostly a mentor and father figure for the main character due to his circumstances, but it is genuinely a great series with good drama and action)

Some of Touko's route is spoiled by other routes, so you may want to play hers earlier. I'm personally going Akane -> Touko -> Yves -> Yuzu.
