Looking for anything particularly good in general, but I have a heavy preference towards that was made in recent times (roughly 2010 onwards) similar to the likes of rewrite or grisaia. I am easily put off by older looking VNs with a few exceptional exceptions (gsenjou, clannad, little busters etc)
