There are quite a few people who know I like anime and manga but only 1 person who knows I read VNs. But the reason is simply that even though I like VNs a lot, it's not the biggest hobby of mine, so I don't really tell people. And none of the anime/manga people I met IRL ever told me they'd like VNs so I never had the reason to say "oh hey, me too".
