Looks great, I only wish they would ditch the touch pad. And why are the buttons colorless.

Most of the time the CGs or the backgrounds don't really reflect what is happening in reality. They are there to give you an idea. In most vns you'll see an image of one thing while the text says something else entirely. Like an image of some people holding hands but the text already moved on to describe how the characters slap each other. It's annoying but every vn does that.

Sure, but that wasn't my point. If the text is describing one thing but the CG shows another it is very distracting and makes the reader too conscious. It's best to stop showing the CG as soon as the text changes to something else.

You open ITH in your virtual box, then you activate "clipboard sharing". TA or whatever you use, which runs on your Host OS, will get everything the ITH in the virtual box captures since it will be shared between Guest OS and Host OS. Simple solution and works flawlessly (as long as you use VirtualBox as your virtual machine).
I use VirtualBox for every game prior to Windows 7 and never had a problem with it. It's really the best solution to play older games.
I have a WinXP VM for nearly every game and a Japanese Win98SE VM for really, really old games that only work on this OS. You can't use ITH in Win95 or Win98, so if you want to hook them, you have to hook the VM itself. I doubt anyone wants to do it, so I wont go into it here, but it is possible. ^^

I would suggest to stick with a virtual pc. VirtualBox is a great virtual machine program. It's free and you can install all kinds of OSs. If you have a system that runs Win10 it's probably good enough to run a virtual machine with a WinXP or Win7. Install your vns on your virtual machine and there you go. You can even adjust the size of the screen (some older vns don't have that ability but it's no problem if you run in a VM). Keeps your computer clean too.
But how will the text hooking work? Say you have ITH on your system and the vn is in a virtual machine. It's possible but might take a few extra steps to make it work.

Hi everyone ! The journey is over, and at last, I can announce The Last Birdling’s release date. Here it is:

September 1st, 2017! The Last Birdling’s Steam page can now be accessed:

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/629430/The_Last_Birdling/

Recently, I have started to follow upcoming games that I want to keep on my radar. If you are willing to do the same for The Last Birdling, I would be so grateful. The “follow” and “add to your wishlist” buttons are available on the Steam page. I will be active on the community board, so I hope to hang out with you there.

As the release date approaches, I plan to post a new article every week. These articles will be available on the Steam page as well as my Facebook, Tumblr and all the other usual suspects. My social media links can be found here:

    http://invertmouse.com

I am thankful to those who messaged in to say they fell in love with Bimonia and Tayo after the demo. After hundreds of development hours, those two have grown lives of their own. Once the game is released, I hope their story can be shared with as many people as possible.

    Thank you!

I think arguing about replay value is stupid. The idea was invented way in the 90's when stupid reviewers were saying "this game is linear, once you finish it there is no reason to go back". Implying that it's not even worth buying. It seems like people are more concerned about length and replay value rather than focusing on the quality of the experience you get from playing the game. If I really love a game I will want to play it again. Jrpgs are linear but does this mean we should play Final Fantasy 7 only once? To lengthen the game time developers put stupid side quests and mission in their games that have nothing to do with the story and add absolutely nothing to the experience.
And it's the same with visual novels. If it is something I really loved you bet I'll want to read it again. I don't care if it's a story focused vn with a true route. And I don't even care if it's a complete linear and without any choices. If I love it I'll read it regardless of choices and length. Higurashi is a great series and it doesn't have choices at all, you won't see me complaining about it.
If replayablity is an issue then why would we read a book twice or watch our favorite movie again. I think replay value is irrelevant, you make your own replay value. Just ask yourself was this an amazing enough experience for me personally and would ever want to experience it again. It's all about how much you loved the game in the first place.

That's not entire accurate. What gamers usually do is rely more on straifing to hit the target rather than actually looking at it. So you usually look in the general direction of the target and strife left of right for accuracy.

Many console fps still have precision aim problem. I remember when I played Black on ps2, great game but it wasn't accurate like pc fps games. In many older console fps games the best thing to do is just wave your weapon around your target and keep the fire button held down. Eventually you will get a kill. But this was really frustrating to me because I wanted to be more accurate than I that, I wanted the feel of a mouse aiming controls.
Once auto aim came into fruition things got easier and more fun. You didn't have to be precise, the game would help you target your enemy and I think that was a good idea.
The new Doom does an excellent job with accuracy aiming. I don't know how they did it but it feel really good. It's not as good as keyboard and mouse but it comes damn close to it.

I recommend to start with Root A.
As for the endings. If you mean all the BAD ends then no, you can get them if you want to 100% the game but you don't have to. However I do recommend getting the Normal ending but once again you don't have to (or you might get it on your own). But you need to get the Root A true ending (or was it called the Good Ending I don't remember).
But if you want to get the best ending you'll have to complete Root A at least 3 times. Each time you'll need to make the right choices to get a scene with your favorite girl. I recommend that you do that, it's gonna be worth it.

You can create your own blog on Fuwa and write about everything from promoting your games, articles, thoughts about other games and visual novels and whatever comes up. One of the things I would like to read about is your creative process. What is your workflow from ideas to an actual product. How do you come with ideas and then write stories. All kinds of things.
Making a new thread to advertise your new game is good but if you want to have some freedom a blog is a nice way to do it. You can have a link to your blog so people don't miss it.

But keep writing and making games. I know your games bring lots of joy to lots of people so keep at it.
