Hi all, just finished my first playthrough of Chou Dengeki Stryker and was blown away by the story. First off, let me say
that I plan to play all the paths, so if any of my questions are answered in the other routes, just tell me and don't
answer them.
1. Does this mean there was a real Haruna who moved off somewhere and was totally not invovled in the story at all? Since
Daisuke based the teenage Haruna on the real Haruna (who existed before Yuuki made his wish)
2. Why does Stryker not recognize Duran and Hilko after meeting them at the cafe? (Then again, he doesn't recognize all
the other Balborans, neither do they him...)
3. Ok, here are the big questions I really want to ask...what exactly happened to Yuuki when he made the wish? I get it that
his memories got transferred to Mirror and he became Dengeki Stryker...but if you he had lost all his memories, doesn't
that effectively mean he's "dead" in a way? I mean, you are the sum total of everything that happened to you, right?
When I first played the game through I was kind of creeped out because I thought that Yuuki had been transferred into
Mirror and then killed by his own hero...I mean, a 6 year old making a wish and then getting killed by it is pretty dark
no matter how you look at it. I also thought that when he said "I want to become Dengeki Stryker" a whole new person was
created. But now I am not so sure. After all, he still had Yuuki's body, and Haruna still recognized the look in his eyes.
Which brings me to another question - if that Haruna was also fictional, how could she know Yuuki from before when he made
the wish? (see 1 above)
So do just the memories of Yuuki get transferred to Mirror? If so, why does he act like Yuuki (talking to Hiruno like she's
his mom etc) instead of just having the memories? If is because his illness is making him go crazy? Also, why does he turn
into the insect thingy instead of just dying like in the original manga?
I guess I'm asking if what makes a person is just his memories or something more, which the game has various ways of
answering. I would hate to think that the 6 year old Yuuki still exists inside Mirror and got killed by his hero. Or maybe
Yuuki got "split" into two selves - his young self which fused with Mirror, and his older self which became Stryker? (in
which case he sort of got what he wanted...he did indeed become a hero, and fulfilled his promise to Haruna.)
So many questions! I am pretty confused at his point so I'd welcome any interpretations anyone has. Or maybe it's all
resolved in the other routes.
