  3. No way I can rate them #1 to # 5, so in no particular order.... Fallout 3 Xenosaga Episode 1 Tales of the Abyss Ni No Kuni Persona 4 and Nier BARELY missing out.
  4. Cannot say enough praise abot LA Noire, simply one of the best games period
  5. Nadia: Secret of Blue Water...on episode 12....so far I'm kinda on the fence.
  6. Future Boy Conan: boy meets girl, boy yells "Lana!", girl yells, "Conan!"
  7. Well, after about two weeks of packing, moving, working, unpacking, working I finally have a free day, gonna continue with Casshern Sins and should finish Ro-Kyu-Bu! today
  8. Sukitte Ii na yo.
  9. sound familiar SB? Anyhow, watching Casshern SINS and Ro-Kyu-Bu! (based on quite a few members here pick as best sports anime). Almost done with Hataraku Maou-sama! and still chugging along with Kaiba
  10. I know Planetes has some science fiction aspects but it might fit what you are looking for.
  11. Please, who are you trying to fool, you will NEVER get out of that cave!
  12. Life comes first, take care of yourself!
  13. Ye Gods I thought 2012 was the year of the apocalypse....lol. seriously congrats SB I know you have worked hard to help this forum.
  14. So I thought it might be interesting to see what everyone's favorite in each genre is. And please, I know it's hard but pick your favorite in each category, but don't list many different shows per category. So, categories are as follows: Action Adventure Comedy Drama Ecchi Fantasy Harem Historical Mecha Romance Science Fiction Seinen/Mature Shoujo Shounen Slice of Life Sports
  15. OK...deep breath....OK...another....OK....where is Whisper of the Heart in that list?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  16. In the mood for fantasy so I started El-Hazard....
  17. Yeah, I am sure that is part of it. I'm a tad older than the average anime watcher I imagine, lol. My peers grew up w/o the net, cell phones, etc.
  18. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! Although no tears happened here, it's really a great feel good show!
  19. Honestly I think it's more of a social/professional thing than a geographical. And for the record I live in the southern US.
  20. Actually I am somewhat ashamed to admit I watch anime period. I feel like the few times I do say I like anime to co-workers I then have to emphasize that not all anime is sexual in nature
  21. Level E and Rosario + Vampire. I feel neither are exactly great representations of what anime can be, although each are very interesting and fun to watch. these shows, while I may enjoy them are certainly not ones I would recommend to my friends who have never watched anime before, lol.
  22. OK, just finished Tari Tari and Kimi to Boku. 2, and while I liked the latter a lot I thought the former was much better, very bittersweet, touching and yet funny show. Little lady and I started Aria the Animation last night, still early so no real opinion yet. And on a whim I started Hataraku Maou-sama!....
  23. "Change my life" might be a slight exaggeration. However, Chobits and Planetes both certainly made me view my definition of anime differently than what I assumed anime was. Chobits showed me anime could be funny while still delivering and focusing on some serious issues. Plantetes showed me exactly how thought provoking and how much depth a great anime could have. I, to a certain extent got lucky as these two shows were among the first ten or so I ever watched...and the rest, as they say, is history, lol.
  24. About halfway, I think anyhow, through Swan Song, so far I like it a lot but it hasn't reached that point where I love it yet....
  25. That one absolutely tore me up, thus admitted I get teary-eyed somewhat easily but that show is the only one which actually made me cry like a little baby.
