That was for the Vanadis games. One little problem with all the Lv1 games is that they contain puzzles that require you to read some Japanese and solve the puzzle in a short period of time, sometimes even a second or two. Even if TA can hook the puzzle text, you'll have a hard time solving them fast enough. Fortunately the Lv1 Yuusha game lets you replay any area, and with their other titles you'd just have to save a lot. I don't remember any puzzles that you can't solve with a little trial and error. I remember Lv1 Yuusha using a lot of obscure and obsolete kanji to seem more fantasy-ish, but TA shouldn't have problems with those.

Lv1 Yuusha ga Megami Jashin to ♀ Monster Hanshoku Keikaku Hajimemashita! is Aomidori's Monster Girl game. I enjoyed it, but it's not really mainstream due to the masochism scenes. It does have lamia and a centaur in it though! Vanadis VNs are probably the easiest to recommend, although the Japanese in them is highly conversational. On the bright side, the vocabulary is simple, but on the downside, textbook Japanese and/or machine translators aren't going to take you far.

It's better for names to sound good in English than to be literally translated. Just go with something like "The Fanged Beast Bar."

Why buy a book when using dictionaries on the Internet is a million times better and easier? If you're looking to translate away from an Internet connection, I'd suggest getting an electronic dictionary, but finding one under $100 might be tough.

You're right, thanks. I considered that possibility, but it didn't seem to make sense in context. On looking at it with a fresh set of eyes today, I see how it fits. Yesterday was a long day, and I was translating at night...

Does anyone know what the heck 病名は伏せる is supposed to mean? Looking at uses of it from Google searches isn't helping me too much. 病に伏せる is simply "to be sick" and 病床に伏せる "to be sick in bed" Conversation about a sick girl by two teachers in 聖もんむす学園: シンク「その病気ってのは治ったりはしないんですか？」 キューテ「そうですね。病名は伏せますけど、完治するのは難しいんですよ」 :シンク「なるほどなぁ……だったら単位とか出席日数の問題も考えれば良いのに……」 キューテ「それもそうなんですけどね……他の教師たちも、あまり問題児に関わりたくないみたいで……」

Did RusAnon send his tools to anyone else here, or does anyone have a way of getting his attention? He hasn't checked this thread in awhile apparently, and he still hasn't read the PM I sent him over a month ago. I can see that he's active almost every day though...
