Yeah, basically what everyone is saying, they don't want watchers to focus on one character, such as Tomoko, for the entire story (with the exception of Nagisa, not a supporting character). They want a variety of endings and scenes put together in one anime with Tomoya still picking one girl. If it focused only on one character, only 1/7 of the watchers would be satisfied, making it have bad reviews. I personally don't mind because the second season's where its at

I'd recommend something like Elfen lied, Darker than black, Deadman wonderland, Another, around that area. More animes taken down a notch but still gorey and with super powers is Demonbane and Needless.
