Might as well ask, is it worth waiting for the patch to play what has already been released? How many routes are left to translate after Miyako's is done (besides the one the translator said he is already planning to do?) Sorry if someone has already asked this, but wading through 73 pages is a little... unreasonable.

Is there any way to get this game legally? I've been looking around and the only thing I see available is the PS2 port. Heck, I haven't even found a torrent or direct download yet. Anyone else having trouble, or am I looking in the wrong places?

I like free stuff as much as the next guy, so I'll give this a shot.

Hi everyone, Here is a challenge that everyone can participate in. Torrent a copy of a new game called Game Dev Tycoon, and then attempt to get as far into the game as possible without going bankrupt. The pirated copy of the game has a big twist that completely changes the game, and it is one of the best things I have ever seen in gaming. If you already know what it is, do not spoil it for people playing the game. If you are not interested in playing, I put a link at the bottom of the page in spolier tags in which the developers explain what they did and the uproariously funny things that happened afterwards. If you are interested, post how far you got, what your strategy was, and how much money you made. Enjoy!

Two games worth mentioning that aren't included in the VNDB list are Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya, which are really great games. You just need to use the ONScripter Mac thing that Umineko and Higurashi use to be played on Mac. The Tsukihime Plus Disc, however, does not work because they switched to the engine they eventually used for Fate Stay Night. Other than that, you are relegated to OELVNs (I suggest Juniper's Knot) and other Insani releases (which are decent, but you miss out on True Remembrance, which is arguably the best game they have on there.)

Most VN's are significantly more expensive than that, believe me. Go to Jlist and look at the prices for Rewrite, Little Busters, and Majikoi and then tell me that $58 isn't a steal by comparison. I agree with this, because of the time I spent researching this stuff. On the other hand, convenience is nice, and this is supposed to be the go to site for VN players, so I don't see why this would be a bad thing. If anything, it acts as a next step for VN players, a way to support the VN community without breaking the bank and importing. It's worth considering, especially if the list starts to grow a bit.

Now I know this goes against Aaeru's idea of public domain and copyright and what have you, but I would like to suggest a new page for Fuwanovel. There are probably a lot of VN players that are intimidated by the high import prices of visual novels, but would still like to buy them (or in my case, be unable to torrent them on University internet). Thankfully, however, after a few months of searching, I've found that there are legal ways to buy VNs without breaking the ol' college budget. In fact, most of them are cheaper than a regular videogame ($60)! The problem, a lot of people don't know these alternatives exist, and places like VNDB are no help whatsoever. So, to cater to this probably small demographic, here's a list of some cheap VNs. (This list is by no means comprehensive, please add on to the list if you know any other games. I am only including games with English patches. There are more games at the sites listed if you want games in Japanese.)
