I tried this both with the old download and the newer download I just finished. Both to no avail. Sadly this has not solved my problem. The launcher actually works, but when it goes to bring up the game I get the same error. All this troubleshooting is leading me to believe that either A. my new computer is missing some component or driver to run the game. or B. my new computer has some component or driver that is prohbiting me from running the game. My new computer is able to solidly runmost games on steam, as well as other VNs like F/SN, Tsukihime, Katawa Shoujo, Killer Queen, ect.

Hmm. It seems i am missing the Hoshizora no Memoria.exe I have every other file except that one. I'm currently downloading from that other source, however it is taking awhile.

I have attempted to redownload, and shall attempt again through this source and will post the results after my finals today. This has been done from the very start. I do indeed have one that says "Launch.exe" as well as Memoria.exe. Memoria.exe gives the same error whereas Launche.exe brings up some kind of instal looking window (all text is japanese, will post screenshots below). The first option that I can actually click on gives some error that appears to be a missing file setup.exe. This could very well be my entire issue if im missing this file.

Hello everyone, I took a huge break from this game and recently transferred all my VNs from my old computer to my new one. This game works on my old computer (though it is impractical to play on that computer for a variety of reasons) but always gives this error on my new one. MemoriaEn.exe The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. The files i used are the original ones I downloaded from Fuwa a year or so ago. My computer is in Japanese Local. My directX is up to date and is for the correct operating system (I run on Windows 7 64 bit). I have updated my microsoft .NET files as well as my microsoft C++ files. I run the program as an admin. I have basically done every fix for this error message that I have found online and I am so perplexed about this issue and I just really want to play Hoshimemo. ;~;

Well, I try to get some food and some water / Dr. Pepper organized by my recliner since i hook my computer to my flat screen while I play VNs. The food varies but I generally forget it even exists. And meal times....lets just say I don't follow an exact schedule for them ^^;

Well, my computer took a dive about a month ago, so I lost the few VN's and such I had been playing :c But with my new computer finally up and running I'm planning to start Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate tonight. Read a small summery and it sounded fun. Anyone know if this is any good? ....Well, after looking into it more I found out there is no translation :'c Well, not gonna play this at the moment then..

Is there any other prerequisite fir entering on any of the categories; such as played X amount of Visual Novels, or been playing them for X amount of time? I only ask because I am fairly new to this whole thing but I am very interested in this contest. My other question would be about the forming of teams for the story portion. If we were to do so would the prize be split evenly, or each individual member receive a separate prize? Outside of these question, I think that this idea sounds amazing and I definitely want to try my best to aid in it in any way I can~

Well, I don't believe there is a direct English patch for the PC98 games. However, there should be full English dialogue translation on http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Touhou_Wiki And Galaxy Angel was a surprise to me actually. I ended up absolutely loving Ranpha. I dunno, she didn't pop out to me at first, but over time I just loved her~ Then Vanilla would be a definite second. I really like the silent and melancholy characters like her can give off. I have been reading around the other topics, but I still know to little to really contribute any opinions xD;;

Ya, its an amazing series ^^ And don't feel bad alden, a lot of people can barely play it xD And yes, there are English patches for every current installment of the series. And thanks for all the info guys! I'm currently in the middle of Little Busters and I am loving it~

Hello, I have very recently become addicted to VNs due to an article on http://randomnessthing.com about the Galaxy Angel series. I played it and have absolutely fallen in love with it. I have since only played Shuffle! and am currently looking into more to play. I'm not really a forum-type person (this being the first one I have actually signed up for..) and that's mainly due to immense shyness on my part ^^; But I hope to join you guys and learn a lot about this fascinating world :3
