I actually open them sometimes when I'm in the mood for some new plastic smell.
Same with my figures~

They just added the Vita physical ver. on KS. It's either $80 or the $150 Collector edition. Now I gotta decide if I want the Vita or PC physical.
With the addition of Vita physical copies, I'm sold. Personally I'd much rather play visual novels on the vita due to its portability.
PC is slowly turning into portable. I recently bought a Samsung ATIV tablet PC and thats how I read my visual novels on the go (reading Princess Evangile on it atm). Youre kinda limiting yourself by being portable AND small on the vita. Visual novel heroines and Waifus deserve a bigger screen than that....
I actually wanted the physical Vita ver. just for my collection. Since they are giving a digital ver. of both the PC and Vita I doubt I'm gonna be opening it.

Vita only tier is up. $60 USD digital only~

Well that answered my question~
On top of being funded in Kickstarter for Vita and Android,#MuvLuv Vita release in Japan is also confirmed!
-
I wonder if they will release a JP Vita ver. since they gotta do it from the ground up anyways for the Eng ver.
The pace this KS is going is surprising. I'm gonna hope for the 600k mark and be happy. Not gonna get greedy for the 720k.

I'd actually give him the benefit of the doubt in this case, as misinformation about Shenmue 3 is pretty widespread. I've seen threads where the predominant opinion is that Shenmue is proof that crowd funding is heading toward a collapse, pretty much entirely based on spurious information spread by websites whose writers couldn't find the word "fact" or "checking" in a dictionary at gunpoint.
Well, with what happen with Red Ash doesn't really invoke confidence that there wasn't some kind of deal going on in the background. Totally different company and game but just an example. Who would've thought even a year ago that a KS would be announce during Sony E3 conference. The bad PR effort trying to explain thing doesn't help either.
But getting off topic here.... Almost 450k. At this pace we might hit 600k by the end especially with them adding more Takemikazuchi models.

Earlier in KS life it could be said that it was for small companies or individual looking for some funding to get something off the ground. Now really it does feel like a early pre-order store and larger companies do a KS just for marketing buzz and early income to offset there risk. I think Shenmue 3 probably is the best recent example of this. Honestly though I don't really have a problem with it too much.

I'm just surprised they had the balls to translate it after it's already been done by fans, I would assume that everyone already had it since it's "free" and no one would bother with a paid version. Good on them.
I wish they did the kickstarter in Yen and not US dollars, our dollar is about 30% weaker in just a matter of months. So that $300 pledge has now turned into very close to $500. Our dollar compared to Yen is still very similar.
They can't. KS is a US corporation. To even kickstart anything you actually need to have a US business/corporation in the US. Saw this problem before on another KS project when the creator wanted to see if he could do it in Canadian dollars.

I read in the description that the port(vita or android),the codex and even the two photons will be free for people that are pledging $150 or above.
Am I wrong? It sounds very convenient to me.
If they hit the stretch goal for them, yes.
Slowly dripping toward 400k. I knew they would get more models for ppl to pledge for lol. Also not surprise that the Takmikazuchi sold out fast and still a ton of the Raptors left~
-
I think the kickstarter got 60k pledged in 20 min haha, some people really wanted those high tier rewards^^
Predicting from data solely from day 1 (which is stupid of course because of the high tier rewards that people rushed to obtain, and also because of day 1 hype), it was estimated that the KS would reach 6 million dollars by the end of it
I was surprised the highest tier pledge reward is already gone. People have spare $5,000 in the bank for KS Pledging?!
Oh and there's 1 more $300 pledge reward up for grabs. But it's just Takemikazuchi vs F22A Raptor, Decal Sheet, and Yuuko's Gift Bag added from $200 pledge.
1st $5000 was gone instantly when the KS went up. The other one went at about 30 min after it.

Everything should be ready on summer 2016, theoretically.
+ the inevitable delays~
I don't think anything I have ever backed on KS that didn't have a delay.
-
It's pretty awesome that it got funded within just a few hours of release. That's pretty unusual with stretch goals of 250K+. Even for a VN series like Muv Luv.
It makes shudder to think what official ports of F/SN on Kickstarter could garner.
That would be scary.
Lol, I won't even be surprise if Type-Moon asks for a million for localizing F/SN and they get it.

Speaking of which, has this series shown up in Super Robot Taisen yet?
Not that I know of. All the series that appear in SRW are based on anime, unless I'm mistaken, and it usually takes a few years for them to appear. I know Nadesico didn't appear in a SRW until 4 years after the series ended. So basically they would be using Total Eclipse. I won't be surprise for them to eventually appear in a SRW game barring any licensing shenanigans.

Still hoping for that Codex stretch goal
I do love me some lore, and a codex always makes me happy as I waste a bunch of time pouring over every entry. Crossing my fingers for that, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Same here. They should have put that at the 500k mark imo.
-
Maybe I was hasty when I said this won't reach $500k. This is breaking first-day records for VNs.
If they put up more stuff with a limited amount, like the model kits, I'm sure they can come close. Ppl, including me, are suckas for LE stuff lol. Thankfully no figures for me to tempt me with~
-
Pretty sure they said that a vita release would be digital only.
Ya, I know. Was just saying it would be nice if the Vita release is physical if it ever hit the 500k stretch goal.
-
Honestly the 400k stretch goal is the only one that really matters to me. Game improvements are cool. As for fandiscs, I never play those anyway.
If the 720k stretch goal was TDA I would root for it though even then I can't really see them hitting that amount. I would be only interested in the 500k stretch goal if the Vita release gets a physical edition.

In for $150~
Realistically how far do you guys think the ending amount will be?

"A Pretty Sweet Visual Novel Series"
lol... really?
Ya, I was scratching my head over that title for a bit....
-
-
FINALLY....... So would this be in about 10 hours? I'm in a totally different time zone.
-
about time..!
I'm glad to hear they have the fan translators on board.
Edit: They said they would announce the kickstarter date on prefundia. So maybe this latest tweet is in regards to an announcement of the start date of the kickstarter...
-
SP just needs to be upfront about if the title is gonna be Kickstarted or not. I don't mind them being Kickstarted but for a business it just reeks of bad planning or worst (and annoying as hell). Now every question about SP projects will probably start with "Is this being Kickstarted or not?"

Gonna force me to up my $150 to $300. Gonna do it near the end though since budget is tight with Fallout 4 coming out a week after...
