The solution was actually so simple I'm ashamed, haha. But if someone else is ever coming here with the same problem, this is the solution: I had the .rar file of UBW still saved so I unzipped it, copied the two image files (fgimage.xp3 and image.xp3) and simply pasted and rewrote the original game folder's same files with those. Thank you for your help! I probably would have reinstalled the whole game if I didn't know the problem was just in the image files.

Sorry for the double posting. I don't even know is throwing the log around going to help anything but I decided to do it anyway, if that would provide any help understanding what's going on. I put a note in (( these )) in the log around the part where the error occurs, in case the majority of the log is nothing but junk.

If dating is not involved, I will dutifully try to clear the game 100%. However, when it comes to games with big focus in dating, I often find myself unable to date other characters but the one I romanced for the first time. I don't usually do it on purpose, but I just don't feel like continuing the game for a while, and very often I find myself thinking I will "play that game tomorrow" and never do. The first couple I form in the game very often becomes my main one and I feel somehow wrong trying to get the main character date anyone else after that. I rarely take dating personally though and mostly just think of who would be the best match for the protagonist.

Yes, it's always the same part. It shows me this scene, let's Shirou finish his sentence and then the game just stops, throws me errors and only the background music plays. She actually didn't give it to me through a torrent but instead through other means (because my internet connection back then couldn't handle torrenting). I suppose re-installing is my only solution now, although I will wait a little if someone else replies to this topic.

I admit I'm not super good with computers, so please bear with me if I have actually just made some really silly mistake or I don't immediately provide the right information. I got my Fate/Stay Night [Realta Nua] through my friend. I didn't have problems with installing the game or running it, and I finished the Fate route without problems. UBW didn't have any problems at first either, but in the beginning of the 10th day when Rin is coming over, the game suddenly shows me an error screen (image in the end of this post). I use Windows 7 (32 bit) and my applocale is in Japanese. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where my game file is downloaded from. The readme was also added by my friend who gave me brief instructions of what to do. However, the instructions all led to fuwanovels so I would assume the game is also from here. I have already tried running as an admin, making sure the files are not in read only -mode and have also tried to check my other save files to see if they have problems or if I could access this scene through them instead. I also went throgh different forums in hopes of finding anyone with the same error, but I found none. Something worth noticing maybe: on the day this problem occurred, I opened my computer to see it had somehow installed norton antivirus on my chrome and also on my desktop, despite the fact I don't even use it anymore (ran out of subscription ages ago). Changing my applocale back in days had turned my Paint Tool SAI to use dots in stead of Ä and Ö I use to name my layers, but on that day they had changed to actual Japanese markings instead (and have stayed like that ever since). Something has definitely changed but I'm not sure are they actually related to my game problem still. Also, I ran my antivirus but it didn't find anything worth noticing.
