Air ending.

I've recently finished Air however i don't know if i missed anything regarding the ending.

 

In the Air route (final route) Misuzu still died. However she died happy? which means the curse that was bestowed upon her (and Kanna) is broken?

Also who were the 2 kids at the end? who knew Yukito and Misuzu would only have sorrow ahead of them.

 

Anyone who can give a little explanation if i missunderstood things.

Air is a bit less clear-cut than other Key VNs and it's been a while since I've read it, but basically yes, the curse was broken. The most common explanation (dunno how official it is) is that the kids are the next incarnations of Kanna and Ryuuya after Misuzu and Yukito, who are no longer cursed.

i don't really understand it myself, but I'm agree with Flutterz. Key is known for their mystery shrouded stories.

The curse manifested in her inability to get close to anyone, and her spirit seeing Ryuuya die forever.

Yukito broke that curse, but a Winged One's soul cannot be in a human without harming them, so Misuzu still died.
