Swan Song BGM?

I decided to try Swan Song from its well received presentation, and I noticed that the menu and so forth doesn't play any background music, though sound effects (like the wind) works well.

 

Seeing that there is truly a soundtrack to the game online, it made me wonder if my version of the game or the way I got it to work made it defective in some way.

 

Do any of you know what the issue is or does the music come in later?

The main menu doesn't have any music?you should hear this one

 

bear in mind that this particular vn doesnt have music for long periods of time it's a bit weird but it's not broken it's just like that.

It doesn't appear to have music nor any sound effect when navigating the menu either. I might try to re-install it again since it could be that I installed it before initializing the English patch (if that had any effect).

the menu doesnt have any song while you are in game it will keep playing the song you are listening so if the game is not playing any song you wont listen anything and it doesnt have any sound effect either, for example when you are playing the prologue (whcih doesnt have any music just the sound of the wind blowing) you wont hear anything when you are inside the menu. It only plays that song (last swan) when you first start the game,

By menu, I meant the main menu, but yeah thanks for the heads up~  I'll play/read it for about 60 minutes and if there's still nothing, I'll try to find another source for game. We'll see how it goes ^ ^

Thanks for displaying that, and yeah, based on the video, I haven't heard that song upon entering the main menu screen but I can hear the sound effects along with the voices so far, it seems.

 

Edit: Oh and the wind still plays when I go into the config menu, which is good. I guess the problem so far is that there's no BGM on the title screen, which I kind of hope that's the only issue and not just the whole game on my end.

 

Just in case, do you know when the first BGM starts to play once in-game?

when you start the tsukasa part and the screen turns black

 

"the gym is filled with umplesant smell....."

 

That's when the first song starts (like 1 hour into the novel or more) but just for a very few minutes then it stops again, like I said before it's a weird vn and doesnt have a lot of music for most of the parts, just for some action scenes or important plot is going on.

Thanks for the info. Even if music plays rarely in this VN, it can really set a good atmosphere while reading so I'm hoping it's just the main menu that's affected; I'll try to get to that later point and see ^ ^
