#YOLOGNAISWAGETTI Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I would like you guys to recommend me a few ones, mostly adventure, nakige, mystery and i would like one with an insane protagonist.(I also like if it's narrated.) Thanks! Quote
Zodai Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 That depends on if Nekigei is supposed to say Nukige (more or less games associated with sex primarily.) Unsure what Nekigei means outside of that. Sengoku Rance meets three out of four, lacking in mystery, though it's more gameplay heavy than most VNs. Cross-Channel has mystery to the moon and back and the protagonist is quite likeable as well. Those are the two that come to mind when those attributes are listed. Aside from that, throw Little Busters! in there - it doesn't really match up to any of the ones listed, but it's a strong game and works well placed in contrast with Rance and C+C. Throw it in for variety's sake. Quote
starlessn1ght Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Rewrite has mystery, some nakige-like scenes, and a good protagonist (I dunno whatcha mean by insane, but...) Quote
Satsuki Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Can't really recommend anything since I don't understand what "nekigei" means... Quote

#YOLOGNAISWAGETTI Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Thanks for the answer, but it looks like i mistyped, i meant nakige.( I don't even know how could i wrote that nekigei xd) Quote
#YOLOGNAISWAGETTI Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Rewrite has mystery, some nakige-like scenes, and a good protagonist (I dunno whatcha mean by insane, but...) Well, ummmmm..........you know.Insane. Quote
starlessn1ght Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Well, ummmmm..........you know.Insane. No, I don't. Kotarou fights and has powers, Kotarou changes a lot in each route, Kotarou is apparently tormented by supernatural stuff and researches about it. Kotarou also deeply analyzes the world around him (which i like it very much). Is he insane in your opinion? Quote
#YOLOGNAISWAGETTI Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Well, i'll say antagonist or archenemy or something like that. Quote
Zodai Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Ah, in the case of Nakige Little Busters! is probably an amazing fit as stated there before. Umineko fits the mystery one beautifully in addition to being quite strong from the nakige perspective - some characters also fit the insane protagonist aspect, though it's debatable if the protagonist himself actually fits that. Certainly worth looking into. Anything by KEY is a good contender for a strong nakige. Quote

Deep Blue Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Oh, there's Steins;Gate. Okabe is certainly insane, there is mystery too. Adventure is quite difficult. I don't recall ever seeing any "adventure" VN... well yu-no is an adventure vn, snatcher, desire, policenauts, most of them are really old. Quote
Lexyvil Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I would highly recommend these four~ YU-NO (I recommend you try this classic one first, I find this one, in my opinion, to be the best. This one is a full on adventure that involves multiverses and the protagonist is literally a walking libido) 999, (9 hours, 9 persons, 9 door, for the Nintendo DS. This one is a must play before you die! And its sequel too), Steins;Gate (Another must play before you die!) Ever17 (A must play before you die! Again!) Those are four games that include sci-fi elements with abundant amount of mystery~ Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Chaos;Head has a protagonist who is pretty close to being insane and it has some mystery elements. You could try that one. Quote
Decay Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 You could try Cross Channel for a bit of mystery, and perhaps a bit of mental instability. Quote
Wonderfullyevil Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Umineko, Higurashi, and SubaHibi all have good mysteries and insane characters, while being able to give you an emotional punch. An extra point to SubaHibi for the narration of the protagonists to be really insane. Remember11 fit the above without the emotional punch. Quote
