advocatezz Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Hi guys , I've managed to install Eien no Aselia Japanese 18+ version (Not the all age one, the one with 3 discs). this is not the special edition by the way. But the thing is, I couldn't get the game to run no matter what. (I'm not trying to do the english patch, I know there aren't any for this version) I always default my region to Japanese locale. had rebooted and tried again tried running the game as admin tried running from Xuse_Inst.exe I didn't torrent it made sure the the folder isn't read-only I have no Anti-virus (Stupid me) I made sure not to install inside program file folder (I installed in C:\My Games) tried uninstall-install again once OS is windows 7 x64 bit Anyone who managed to play the game (especially on windows 7 x64)'s opinion is especially appreciated Quote
sanahtlig Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I played this in Windows XP. My guess is that the OS / 64-bit Windows is the issue. The original release isn't listed as being compatible with Vista and newer. Try the Special Edition. That's listed as compatible with Vista, and it has more content anyway. Quote

I struggled to read the official Xuse faq section seem to mention that even windows vista couldn't run it unless its vista x86. Since my japanese isn't well polished yet i had hoped I misread it but.... Oh well, thanks for the help sanahlig. So my choice is either to try XP virtualisation or play the special edition huh..... wondered how different they are since I heard its based on the all age version Quote
