solidbatman Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Well I caved and bought HuniePop. Valiant Hearts is 75% off, how's that game? My sister really seemed to enjoy it, and she's picky about her games. I've always head good things about it too. She said the only downside is uPlay drm Quote

Zodai Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Creeper World 3 is about 1$ from what I know. Heard of it before, seems to be a low budget RTS/Tower Defense.. Seems to be really good. Was interested before, just picked it up. Quote
solidbatman Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Patch it. NAO. I caved and bought Wasteland 2. I'm gonna have to get a new HDD soon, I only got ~200GB left :/ I changed my mind after reading some discussions about Wasteland 2. Apparently, the old Fallout games stand up better in terms of variety and story. Sooo oh well Quote
Stray Cat Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Patch it. NAO. Doesn't that put my Steam account at risk? Quote
suikashoujo Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 So far I've only bought Huniepop, but I'll probably end up picking up Eden tomorrow since it'll be more discounted. Besides that, I'm keeping an eye out for anything that looks interesting, but Eden is my only other must-buy. BookwormOtaku and B0X0R 2 Quote
Decay Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Doesn't that put my Steam account at risk? No. edit: To be more clear, Valve allows you to modify the games you download in any way you want. That patch does not go against the Steam terms of service. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I changed my mind after reading some discussions about Wasteland 2. Apparently, the old Fallout games stand up better in terms of variety and story. Sooo oh well Regarding the 3 isometric RPGs recently released, Pillars of Eternity is the one you want if you're looking for a well designed RPG. Divinity is the one you want if you're looking for a great combat system and quirky humour. I would put Wasteland 2 at lowest priority, it's okay but the others are better. Quote
Decay Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Even if you cheat in multiplayer games, they don't do anything to your account. There is VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat), an anti-cheat system in Valve's free Steamworks API suite, getting caught and VAC-banned in one of those games simply means you can't join any other multiplayer server that uses VAC. It doesn't even ban you from playing the game. Most MP games don't use VAC, in these cases it's up to the developers and publishers to enforce their own terms of service, Valve doesn't do any enforcement for them and your Steam account is free from any risk. Basically, Steam is a content delivery service, what you do with that content is your business and Valve doesn't care. Regarding the 3 isometric RPGs recently released, Pillars of Eternity is the one you want if you're looking for a well designed RPG. Divinity is the one you want if you're looking for a great combat system and quirky humour. I would put Wasteland 2 at lowest priority, it's okay but the others are better. There is also Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall. Shadowrun Returns was mediocre, and worse than all of the games you mentioned. Shadowrun Dragonfall was really good and better than Wasteland 2, probably better than Divinity. One thing to note is that Divinity's multiplayer mode is really fun. Darklord Rooke 1 Quote
solidbatman Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Maybe I'll just give up and replay Fallout 2 and try to find a way to speed combat up a bit Quote
Decay Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Well, bugger. I guess I could just refund it, since with my ~3 mb/s download speed I won't be clocking up the two hours anytime soon. Also looked up a few other articles after I bought it that were more objective. Buyers remorse Get a refund, wait for Pillars to get a daily slot. Darklord Rooke 1 Quote

It's only 5 bucks from Steam at the moment, which is just a bargain! BookwormOtaku 1 Quote
Funyarinpa Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Just saying guys: If you get a game right before the sale and if the game's price goes down during the sale, it is not considered abuse to request a refund for that game. I bought myself Deadcore and The Witcher, Witcher is downlading and I love Deadcore. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 There's gonna be a lot of refunds being requested during this sale 0.0... Quote
Deep Blue Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 This War of Mine 60% off and of course wasteland 2 50%, pretty good deals there Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Guys, Wolfenstein : the new order at -75%, one of the best 2014 FPS, one of the greatest ambience in a videogame, and a good, damn, motherfuckin nazis!! Also the Wolfenstein : the old blood at -50%. Quote
Zodai Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 I heard old blood wasn't very good, but New Order is absolutely worth it at that price. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Well it just cost 10$, it's not as great as New order, but at least it's good. Quote
Deep Blue Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 fps with checkpoint save system is a no no for me Quote
Getsuya Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Last Remnant is only $5. I know it sucked and got panned when it was on the Xbox but they fixed it up for the PC release and turned it into the best JRPG that is currently available on PC buy it now trust me gogogo. No I'm legit serious here, Last Remnant will blow you away, especially for $5. Just make sure to look up a guide if you want to see everything the game has to offer. It's one of those where you have to kind of go out of your way to see all the stuff that the game has. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 At that price, better priorize Valkyria chronicles. Quote
Kynbound Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Or you can just buy both. Each is enjoyable in its own way. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 of course if you have money buy everything. Quote
