Same. Though the thought usually comes to me in the form of `You don`t even have time to PLAY games and you think you`re ever going to have time to MAKE one?` SilverLi 1 Quote

But otherwise I recommend looking up Mount & Blade Warband from yesterday's deals. Age of Mythology if you are a fan of Age of Empires and such. But you should've already played that game if you liked AoE. Quote
Zantax Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Banner Saga and Civ 5 bundle 75% off. Nooo, my money... Quote
Funyarinpa Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Have I said DeadCore kicks ass? Because it does. Quote
Decay Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Well, as someone who thinks that Civ 4 is still the best Civ game, with the expansions I think Civ 5 is pretty fun in its own way. Without the expansions I thought it was shit, but the expansions add a lot of interesting systems and more strategy. If you get them, make sure you get the Complete Edition bundle since it also comes with all the DLC and is cheaper than the two expansions combined. edit: Or maybe instead consider Endless Legend. It's fantasy, but still a very solid 4X game and it might be better than Civ V, although it's fairly close. Quote
joehawks12 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 ;_; all my money goes towards my e-cig habit. I'd get civ V if i didn't mind going on an instant ramen diet, but the trauma from college has caused me to become a viet nam vet when it comes to two minute meals. Quote
atorq Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Is it just for me that the flash sale says 30+ hours until new deals? Shouldn't it renew every 12 hours? Quote

Yukiru Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I got myself Eden, and I'm thinking of getting a Civ game; Are they really that good? Quote

Once all the expansions are released, yes, they're certainly worth it. At 12$ for all the expansions/DLC it might as well be a steal. Beyond Earth on other hand is considered a step down, so I would avoid it. Grab Civ V's complete edition if you can. After that, go onto the workshop and grab every anime mod you can find. There's a lot of them and it'll make the game much more interesting. Just note that sometimes the mods will have trouble getting read, I have a few that are having that problem on my end and it's too confusing for me to fix ><;; But yes, Civ V is definitely worth the sale price. Decay Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 So many of the mods are horribly balanced. I would suggest you just play it unmodded for a few games at first while you get your feet wet. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 @Yukiru: Depends on your preferences. Some prefer Civ 4, some prefer Civ 5, some prefer Civ 3, some even believe Alpha Centauri is better than all those games. They're all pretty solid though. Quote
Stray Cat Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I've heard that Civ games take a real long time to play though. Quote
