I've been working on a visual novel for about 7 months as part of a year-long project for school. The main character is an insectoid alien who survives the first case of an epidemic on her planet. She's taken to Earth, which has just joined an interstellar community of planets, with her three nurses. They plan to take part in a talk show segment that they hope will repair the bad first impression the disease has given her species.

I'm logging art and worldbuilding here. I'm really trying to flesh out the alien species and make them all unique, because I'm kind of looking big with this and this isn't the only story or medium I want to do. I started this because I wanted to address real and current forms of xenophobia through fiction, and disease scares are only a small part of that.

 

As for the VN, I'm doing all of the art, writing, and programming myself. Music is being done by my friend who produces under the alias 44k. I'll post the preview version when it's all done. Any tips or feedback on basically anything I've done so far would be greatly appreciated. I mostly just really wanted to put everything I've been working on out there somewhere.

Good luck with the project, the art style reminds me a lot to edna and harvey which is a good thing.
