TheExoduser Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Hey there, since the last summer sale on steam I've really gotten into reading vn's... So far I've only read a few like "If My Heart Had Wings", "Nekopara" and "Princess Evanegline". Yeah yeah I know emotional, romance, fun and so on, but nevertheless I've really gotten into that genre, therefore I'd like to ask if some of you could recommend me some vn's who are more or less from the same genre like those So far I've found this thread http://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/4964-recommendations/ for romantic stuff but vn's with fun mixed in it, e.g. like Nekopara are most welcome too. Thanks! Quote
Novel21 Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Well what about Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star- Kanon Clannad And ef - a fairy tale of the two Quote
Snowtsuku Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Symphonic Rain Symphonic Rain is my top recommendation for romance centric VNs. Quote
TheGreatEops Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 You might wanna try Little Busters!. Read the common route twice now and I still laugh out loud. Dracu Riot is also a fun one ... but it's not fully translated --_-- rip. Joshua1207 1 Quote

TheExoduser Posted June 29, 2015 Author Posted June 29, 2015 Thanks for the replies! All of the vn's seem to be quite nice. I'm now reading "Grisaia no Kajitsu" and I already love it. All other vn's that have been posted are already scheduled for reading, too If you know more vn's like this I'd love to know them! Quote
TheExoduser Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 Hmm There are plenty of good vn's out there... But currently the most emotional/romantic one I've read so far is "If My Heart Had Wings". I like this homecoming romancing setting. Do you know some vn's that are more or less similar to this one? Quote
TheGreatEops Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Hmm simply basing on how "If My Heart Had Wings" handles its routes and base elements , then I'd recommend the following : Hoshizora no Memoria ( the reason it's similar is because it has those moments where you're not sure how the story will progress , mixed in with the cutesy romance elements. Also the same sky motif) and Koi To Senkyo To Chocolate ( it's about a club on the verge of being disbanded , so it's similar to Konozora in that regard. Also Isara. Isara is kinda the reason you play that tbh ) . Guess there are other VNs, but most have not been translated yet. Didn't mention any Key VNS because those are more or less Drama+Romance(+Fantasy?) in their routes. Quote
Crayten Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Hoshimemo because of Mare you mean because of Kosame and Komomo Quote
Kaia Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I would recommend Deardrops. It gives me a similar feel of wanting to do what they do, like If My Heart Had Wings. It has the refreshing feel to it. Quote
TheExoduser Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Thanks @Kaia, Deardrops seems to be nice. I've added It to my "To-Read" List Currently I'm reading all routes of Grisaia no Kajitsu (an awesome vn!). I've already watched the anime, but the vn is 1000-times better Quote
Kaia Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Thanks @Kaia, Deardrops seems to be nice. I've added It to my "To-Read" List Currently I'm reading all routes of Grisaia no Kajitsu (an awesome vn!). I've already watched the anime, but the vn is 1000-times better I agree! You should read the sequels too, I LOVED THEM. I'm still reeling from finishing all of it. xD All of the Grisia novels are really well done. Quote
TheExoduser Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Oh don't worry. The sequels are also on my "To-Read" List, haha. Also I'm really hoping the sequels of If My Heart Had Wings, are going to be translated as well... It would be a little bit time consuming to learn japanese just to read them... even if IMHHW is one of my favourite vn's and I want to know how the story continues. Quote
TheExoduser Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 I just saw, the sequels of Grisaia no Kajitsu aren't translated yet. Does anybody know how long the translation will need or even if they are beeing translated (now I've got the same problem as with the sequels of IMHHW, grrrrr) Quote
Kawasumi Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 The Grisaia sequels are well on their way since they all got backed by kickstarter so dont worry they will come soon. Quote
hussien-11 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Sharin no Kuni. its unique and original with a strong emotional impact, really great game. Quote
