Deep Blue Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Question: is there somekind of guide or something or the choices are not really important? for example i chose to tell the truth at the start of the game (1 or 2 min when you start) does it matter? Quote

Deep Blue Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Played like 6-7 hours of MLA already, so far is like playing muv-luv unlimited again Quote

Deep Blue Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Since it's a timeloop, it's more or less Unlimited for a while, with the sole difference being that Takeru is a badass. Starts differentiating around when Tama should have shot down that transport or whatever. I think that's where it starts branching off. C:Â Quote
Rose Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Queen of Darkness 2: The Second Reproduction - Finished! Wish I could read the first game, but oh well. Time to begin Tsukihime. Quote
Vokoca Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 For some reason, the Vita version of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is for free (for a limited time if I understand it correctly?) on PS+, so I'm trying that. Not sure if I'll actually read the whole thing since I don't care much for Fate, but I'll try to go through it if only for the voice acting. Got really excited by that first part, only to realize it was just a joke. Bleh, I'd rather read ghost stories the whole time than what came after that. .-. Â Also almost done with SubaHibi, about halfway through Jabberwocky 2. I will comment more on it when I finish, but it continues to be really amazing. <3 Quote
Roach Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 So I started chapter 5 of Sharin no Kuni... what the fuck, man. I didn't see that one coming.I mean, I expected that I will see Ririko sooner or later anyway, but not like this. I mean.. seriously.. she was there the entire time? What the hell.. Quote

pramit Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Currently playing FHA. We did tell you how good the plot was After sharin no kuni, you should read Sharin no Kuni, yuukyuu no shounenshoujo (only the Masaomi Houzuki story) Quote
nohman Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I've enthusiastically started Littlewitch Romanesue. That game is gorgeous. SilverLi 1 Quote

FamishedPants Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Man, I hear so much good things about Umineko but I still haven't read it. A lot of my friends rate it a ten, along with Muv Luv Alternative, so I guess since I tend to share the same tastes in characters, VNs, anime, and games, I should listen, but I guess the No Sexual Content Tag on VNDB length keeps putting me off. Quote
Kosakyun Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Oh to be a English only pleb.  It hurts.  Man, I hear so much good things about Umineko but I still haven't read it. Roach Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Best part of the entire game is coming. Make sure you play through the rest in one go.  And yeah... that Ririko thing was like... wow. There's a reason she's the best girl.  I'm kinda curious on what arc you found the best. I mean.. they even made a hint at the start of the story, when Natsume found him sleeping on the ground. I thought she was surprised because his body goes into rigor mortis when he is sleeping or something. I was like.. wut? Also, I agree. Ririko is best girl.  Let's see.. I don't really like how Sachi's arc ends. I'm not really fond of sacrifice in general. But that CG when Mana is about to leaves was really surprising. I was expecting to see her finally broke, but I was greeted with a pure radiant smile instead. Touka's arc.. the only thing that surprised me was Kyouko's last outburst.. and how awesome Kenichi is. Overall, it didn't really give a strong impression to me. Natsume's arc.. Hmm, I'm not really sure what to say about this one. I don't remember something disappointed me when I was reading it, so that's probably good. I have to say though that moment when Kenichi reveals who he is to Natsume was really touching.  I think the order would be something like: Natsume > Sachi > Touka.  We did tell you how good the plot was After sharin no kuni, you should read Sharin no Kuni, yuukyuu no shounenshoujo (only the Masaomi Houzuki story) Houzuki as the protagonist? Damn. That would be pretty weird. I'll consider it later.  I know, right? Made me start questioning reality lol As for finishing the rest...there's a surprisingly large amount of text left...won't say anything that spoils, but a certain bit drags on and on and on, with no end in sight. It's made to be that way intentionally, but it got a little irritating; it felt like I wasn't making progress, even though I really was. Not that long in my opinion  I mean, chapter 4 took me an entire day to finish and chapter 5 was like, 5-6 hours I guess? That might be just me, though.   I finished Natsume and Ririko endings. Yeah, I switched to Natsume in the end. Just because. Anyway, Ririko is damn cute. I will finish the other three endings later. Quote
douggle Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Started Little Witch Romanesque, reading it via Wine in Arch Linux. Quote
Zhiroo Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Comyu but still not getting into it, the common route is pretty vague and boring so far. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 A bit farther into MLA... Â I thought it would be hilarious if Sumika broke down because of the h-scene(which, in itself, was horrible) I'm laughing Quote
Vokoca Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Decided I should finish the VNs I've started on the Vita before I read any more PC ones, so I'm continuing TIME TRAVELERS. Pretty disappointed so far. Seems like something made by the David Cage of Japan, full of lies and promises that fall right on their face thanks to the story that makes hardly any sense at all. Well, maybe it will get better - from the VN's 18th hour, it lets you pick the main character you like and continue the story onwards, instead of getting forced to read everyone's perspective in small intervals. This also introduced a new mechanic of "time locks", which basically just prevents you from advancing too far, I guess...so it's probably just more stuff that's just supposed to deceive you into thinking you have any control over the story. So far all the time stops were incredibly easy to solve, as they only require you to either go back one scene and pick a different choice, or siply continue the story with a different character that has an influence over the scene where you got stuck... way to cheap out on something that could've been a cool mechanic. I'm not really getting any hopes of that improving from now on, either. Quote
Deep Blue Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 So, I'm still playing MLA, the only thing i can say now that i dont like about it is that it took almost 10-12 hours to get really good and that's it without muv-luv extreme and unlimited and you wont understand anything really if you dont read it first...so the truth is you need to read like 30-40 hours of a not really good vn just to get to the good part...  One question, how much into the story am i so far in terms of % I saw sumika/00 robot for the first time  I mean.. they even made a hint at the start of the story, when Natsume found him sleeping on the ground. I thought she was surprised because his body goes into rigor mortis when he is sleeping or something. I was like.. wut? Also, I agree. Ririko is best girl.  Let's see.. You should definitely need to read the houzuki's story now, it tells you how he become a special high class individuals, can't tell you much more i dont wont to spoil anything for you but it's freaking awesome too. Mr Poltroon Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I'm reading Comyu, however that's spelt. I have impressions on it but I am currently far too sleepy to share them. Quote
