XReaper Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Just cutious, but what did you hate in particular? Personally, I felt like the 'monster of the week' formula was a little repetitive and the fights between Gii and the creatures were too quick for my taste. It was basically just the 'one behind me analyzed everything about it' so I win. I wanted to see more. That twist at the end was a bit confusing but I felt it tied things up for the most part. Also, I hate what happened to Ati after she was attacked in the alley and lost her memories. Such a cruel fate. Quote
Kosakyun Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Still playing Forest. I have to redownload Inganock because I downloaded the pre-FULLVOICE version. I hope there's a way to patch the Fullvoice version on the old one. Quote

Vokoca Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Finished the first two chapters of Senshinkan. That sure went from dream fun times to horror and death quickly. o.O As cool as everything is, I have to say that fight scene in chapter 2 was so long and absurd that it was downright exhausting. I know a lot of it is on purpose, and that having difficulty with the complicated language is my own fault, but it doesn't change the fact that it was tiring.Considering the purposes of that scene, I hope they tone the fights down a bit from now on - or, explain them better, would probably be a better way to put it.Either way, I'm curious where the story goes from here... probably not anywhere nice, that's for sure. Nice you can manage to read that stuff. I remember reading the first title and damn the prologue had so much weird words in it. With all the furigana and so on haha. Honestly that's overboard for me. I'll read it later maybe though. Thumps up from me bro! Currently still reading Soukoku no Arterial. Still liking this. I feel at times that the gameplay is a bit too much. But overall It's fine really. I am currently in chapter 6 of the angel route. As I see it now. I might actually complete all of the routes. Even if it will take like ~100 hours. Quote
usbporter Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 na there were way too many reasons why i despise this game, which captivated me from the beginning at first. soooooooo many unresolved questions at the end. but what i hated the most in particular was how the game spend one whole chapter about atis feelings for the protag AND then she got killed for the sole reason to enrage the reader or justify an loli ending. believe me i was sooo pissed, words cannot describe. same goes for the whole ending plot, which ends in a big mindfuck for the reader. although some foes keep on telling me she didnt die, to me when you loose your whole memories and your body is reverted back to prior the catastrophe, its the very same thing than erasing someones existance and therefore same as dying also the way some text sections of the game seem to repeat themselves were very poorly. really enjoyed reading 2/3 of the novel but everything after the spoilert events ended in the worst way it could have been. For me, Ati's part was just fine. The one that gave me so much facepalm was how Kia comforted Gii after that. The thought was right but the way it was handled felt ooh so wrong. It kinda reminded me of True Remembrance's specific scene, but at least I found that part more justifiable compared to this one. The repetition part in Inganock felt really boring, though I really enjoyed Sharnoth's repetition funnily enough. I think Inganock's ending felt complete overall, though that last chapter fitted too much information at one go. Quote

purplerocks2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Right now I'm playing both Littlewitch Romanesque and Nameless ~The one thing you must recall~ Littlewitch's writting is quite entertaining and the dice mechanics is really fun, my only personal gripe is that there's no walkthrough for this game so i'm pretty much playing in the dark. Nameless is also rather good. After this i'm planning on playing Rewrite again, I had stopped halfway Chihaya's route and stopped playing afterwards since I didn't have time during that time, Will definitely need to read from scratch... Congratulations for kicking Canvas 2 out of my top 5 worst-VN-experiences. I didn't find Da Capo to be insulting but it sure was boring. The Nemu route was definitely confusing as well, the ending didn't make much sense. It's a rather bad VN overall. The astonishing part is how much better Da Capo 2 was. It's actually kind of ridiculous how big of an improvement it is. Even still, I would rate it overall as an average VN, I guess that shows how bad DC1 was. I've heard that DC3 was even better yet, so I'm looking forward to that whenever Mangagamer finishes it, maybe sometime next decade. Quote
havoc Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 just finished cou, great vn liked it a lot. Kagome is still my favorite girl in it, but i did not like her ending much. the next vn's on my list are cannonball and neko para. .....Wait what the hell is with all the catgirls? Maybe i should drop one of the two and start on fate hollow atraxia, but i kind of want to savor that one for a long vacation. Quote
