XReaper Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 @liquid, do yourself a favor & better go for the second one. its not that "yume miru" is something bad, just feels bit of rushed in my opinion and full of stupid cliches, could have been much much better if the author had made the routes 2-3 hours longer. especially nekokos route... Eclipsed Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Yup, her bad end is so much better. Her mom is pathetic. I don't think anyone would actually want her to get away. But seriously, what kind of spaghetti bs is that ending? Makina just starts working for the company that tried to kill her? The hell? Also, why does her shop get customers in the good ending but they don't in the bad ending? I don't get it... I know it emphasises the fact that it's a 'bad' ending but it makes no sense. Good End Bad End Quote

But next to If My Heart Had Wings, I think the choice is clear - I haven't read Yume Miru, but IMHHW is nothing more than mediocre charage with nice visuals. With a shitty translation on top, I'd vote for the first option myself. Quote
Mr Poltroon Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Ok ok so I am either going to read Yume Miru Kusuri or If My Heart Had Wings next. I just don't know which to buy help! I've played both. I don't know what your tastes are, but I will say that Yume Miru Kusuri is rather different from If My Heart Had Wings. IMHHW is a nicer game. Not much sadness, and the conflict is a simple thing. Cuteness, love, and whatever more. Translation isn't very good though, to the point where it incapacitates Ageha's route. Yume Miru Kusuri has bigger issues and conflicts, and rather extreme methods to solve/show them. Edit: I'd love to know why it posts when I accidentally press TAB and the spacebar... Quote
Tyrael Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Good End Bad End Oh God how did I not see that Ughhhhhhh... I take it back, good ending please... I hope none of the other endings are as disturbing as this, though Eclipsed 1 Quote

havoc Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 just finished neko para, its good but too damm short. Now moving on to neko neko machine race. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Finished the Yuka Cure Ending A in Never7's Append Story. I'm not going for 100% text, however, I still have around 1/3 of Yuka's CG's locked, which is weird as all other characters are completely unlocked. I've got Yuka Cure Ending B and Yuka Cure Bad Ending to go through, but I am missing one ending in the ending list. No idea what it is. Weird. Quote
LiquidShu Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 So I picked IFHHW first because I was feeling some happy go lucky. I love the art style and it has a lot more animation than I am used to seeing in a VN (I haven't read tons like you people have yet). Kotori is so cute I'm glad they make me do her first because I was going to anyways lol. So far the only characters I'm not looking forward to is the twins I guess. They just seem really flat and meh when they first introduced them. Quote
Vokoca Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Just finished Airi's route (and the bonus ending) in Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete. I'm still not enjoying it, although the plot does feel a little bit less artificially convenient and stupid now with some more details revealed. It's still not good though, and generally kind of boring. I was smiling like an idiot throughout all of the romance this time though, Airi is really cute. Also finished the fourth chapter in Senshinkan. Felt a bit shorter this time, just moving the plot forward a little bit-- though it feels like shit will hit the fan really bad, non-stop, from this point onward. It's time for the dream war, and I am both super excited for and afraid of the chuuni writing madness. Quote

LiquidShu Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 You aren't actually required to do Kotori first, you can choose between Kotori, Ageha, and Asa to begin with, Amane and Yoru get unlocked later. Good to know either way i'm doing Kotori. I love her smile she is so cute ~~ Quote
Decay Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Well, maybe you really should wait, because Pablo is going to release the updated restoration patch with a TLCed and edited Kotori route Soon™. Quote
LiquidShu Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Well, maybe you really should wait, because Pablo is going to release the updated restoration patch with a TLCed and edited Kotori route Soon™. Updated? Is that just fixed English or does it do something to the CGs? Quote
Decay Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Fixed english. He's been slowly going through and fixing all of the translation errors made by Moenovel. It will still take quite a while for the rest of the game to be fixed, but the common and kotori route fixes are going to be released in the near future. Quote

Meh don't really care if the English is fixed or not makes it more entertaining. Plus I grew up listening to my grandma speak Thai most of the time with some English so its not a big deal to me. TexasDice Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Steady progress in Da Capo 2, done with three of the routes and I don't hate it. Comments: The common route - I really, really, REALLY like the path for the puppet show. The preperations serve perfectly well to move the cast along and the show itself is an amazing pay-off. Simple, but really good and probably the most memorable thing about Da Capo 2. - The haunted house on the other hand, is just nothing. I prefer something over nothing, boo. Quote
Tyrael Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Finished Michiru's route in Grisaia No Kajitsu Welp, this route made me cry more than any of the routes in clannad. LiquidShu 1 Quote
Deon Ovela Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I made my first step to the world of visual novels by Little Busters! Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to immerse myself more, so the impression was left only a little glimpse of how things work out. However, that was enough to fill my expectations of what I presumed, and hook me for more. Quote
bluethunder91 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Well, robot girl is next, I guess. Amakase has got the best route. Quote
Vario Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Swan Song (Atto Terzo Scena 1). I think that there is a lack of sound (in my opinion, music is not that good anyway). And I still can't see the end of story... Quote

Koko - Koko's route feels like it's supposed to be the glue, which holds everything together. But it's way too dry and way too much drama happens about nothing. It's not as bad as Harukoi, but holy cow was I yelling at the screen to get on with it already. The ending is really dull as well, Koko deserves better. Quote
TexasDice Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 About the Nanaka route: The mind-reading twist is a carryover from DC1, where the singer character there(related to nanaka) also had that ability. Okay, that makes way more sense now. Still not necessary in any way, but eh, I'll buy it. Quote
