nohman Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Finished Ruri's route in Demonbane, felt rather underwhelmed by the whole thing. For such a cool setting and premise, it felt like a waste. The soundtrack still rocks though. I'll be putting Demonbane on hold indefinitely to finally read Ayakashibito, which I hope will scratch the itch of what had me feeling like reading Demonbane in the first place. Quote

sub-zer0 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Finsihed the Agave route in majikoi, and I now understand why people consider it the "true" route, I would say it is the best route in the game,leaving romance aside, it had the best story(in my opinion) and it showed us something that was not shown before the Kazama family losing and suffering defeat for the first time , the story kind of pieced together what you had seen in the other routes( there was indirect hints about this route in the other) routes), the ending was pretty good,It benefited the most amount of characters, even though in the epilogue, there was no indication of the future of the people of class 2-F or 2-S, but you can assume their life went on normally and they benefited from the end result.The only downside was there was no romance,otherwise it would no doubt be considered the best route by the majority(the Agave route is still considered the "true" route by a lot of people). Going to move on to the sequel of course, and since I'm not going to use the 100% save, i'll be praying for no bugs that mess up your choices. Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Majikoi S is pretty fun I will diligently do the S-after routes and new side routes, then go for the the Agave after. The few routes I did (Mayuzuki, Margit, Iyo) were pretty much only sex, so I'm expecting good things from the Agave after. Although DereMaru was pretty damn adorable... My only problem with Majikoi is still that the main girls are amazing characters, but pretty awful heroines. (Well, Wanko is okay I guess) Yamato not getting hooked up with one of them in Agave was one of the reasons why it was the best route in the first game. Quote

Tamao's route was okay - kind of an introductory route I suppose, it wasn't really anything that special. The little plot that it did reveal was nice, though. Sorako's route had a great middle point. There were some amazing fight scenes and certain things got resolved in a way I really liked... that is, except for the ending. Not really even mad about leaving things unresolved for the next routes, because that's only to be expected, but it does that one thing I hate in endings. I really dislike those fake bad endings. If you're going for a bad ending (which I am all in for, I love bad endings), pull through with it to the very end. Don't back out in the last scene... gah, I really hate this cliche, if you can even call it that. To it's credit, at least this didn't have credits after the fake bad ending, so it wasn't as infuriating as it could've been. That's just my personal pet peeve though, so I can't hold it against it that much. The scene before the second opening, and the opening seamlessly blending into it is still my favourite part of the VN though - the mood there was perfect, and it got me incredibly hyped for what could come. I really do hope at least the true route delivers on that. Please, Hino! Also I'm salty that Hishia doesn't seem to have a route. She deserves the true route, screw Saku. Quote
XReaper Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 hmm better not get toooo hyped about the true route, as it might not deliver what u expect it to do. yeah it consists of everything gone wild & chakboompow stuff, but also some parts feel like rushed & too unbelieveble & the very ending....expected something very else edit: but regarding your complaint about the missing route, simply read its fd, its better than nothing edit2: all in all i really liked the novel, but i´m somehow non fond of antagonists who do it simply because they happen to feel like it, i mean there must be some reason, everyone has one, even master therion had one.... Luckily, the Fandisc grants that wish Though Mitori's route end up in a confusing way with no real conclusion. Hishia's route is actually pretty good Quote
