Flutterz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 The Miyako bad ends usually happen if you compliment Miyako in some way in the common route. They are absolutely hilarious, and almost always end with her screwing Yamato and them getting married. Although you should absolutely reject Miyako when you get to that choice in her route, the bad end is hilarious and amazing. Oh yeah, I was planning on doing that after finishing her route. Quote
CeruleanGamer Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Speaking of which, is there an easy way to fill the missing ending skits (skits that play when you quit the game) on Majikoi? All I keep doing is starting the game then quitting to get them all, and I'm still missing 4 ending skits because I keep getting duplicates. I am probably at my 500+ reset now. :/ I just wanna collect them all. It's funny because the translation team seems to have translated all of them too! Quote
CeruleanGamer Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Nope. You gotta keep opening and closing it unless you download a 100% patch. Enjoy Quote
TexasDice Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 The best Miyako Ending I know of so far, is in Sayaka route from A-1. I laughed all the way through the credits. CeruleanGamer 1 Quote

Decay Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Decent overall, 7/10. Hopefully Kara no Shoujo is better (Cartagra's mystery wasn't very intriguing). KnS isn't without its flaws but I thought it was better. One thing it does better is make the protagonist feel like an actual detective. Shugo didn't really do much deduction on his own and was basically lead to most of the answers by others, while KnS's protagonist strikes you as a smart guy who knows his shit. A lot of the supporting cast is also better, imo. Suzu Fanatic 1 Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Osadai was, in all honesty, a lot more enjoyable than I expected. Every route filled me with happiness and moe. The amount of references was to me, amazing. That and the amount of dank memes made it that much more enjoyable. The developers even managed to predict the future to some extent of dankness: Just do it. The characters them selves all proved to me highly like able and their personalities for the most part were consistent. From Virgin Zouma-sensei to Saionji the Panda even the side characters were hilarious. I mean who wouldn't want to jump into Saionji's arms? I went Ran > Ell > Yukino > Puchin as my route order and I do feel it was pretty solid that way. Doing Ran's route first was helpful as when the brainwashing would happen in other routes you know she was all good. Ell was to me hands down the cutest out of all of them, no arguments. Her CG's were spot on and her route had the most growth as a character. Puchin was... disappointing but still managed to be a really fun route. The thing that made her route dissapointing to me was the change in her personality. Now, I get that before fucking Jun she was a president and now she can be a normal girl and all, but her lovey-dovey mode was pretty hardcore. I missed the Puchin that would slap Jun with a fan when he cracked an ero joke. At the same time, I played Osadai because I just wanted a bunch of cute, flirty, lovey-dovey kinda stuff, so it managed to deliver. Moving on to CG's between Puchin and Ell it's hard to say who is better. I feel like Puchin has a slight edge though because well I feel like that. Yukino's route I tried to avoid until closer to the end because I figured it was going to be "that" route and just boring as all hell. Turns out I was wrong and she also managed to pull my heartstrings. Not saying her route was emotional or anything, rather it was just really cute and I felt super happy when playing it. Pretty much every route managed to do that which is why I enjoyed Osadai so much. Patting her head, screwing her in the oval office, and giving her the strength to continue being the president were all fun to experience. Unlike Kosaki though, I don't believe she had the best CG's. Last but not least Ran. I have to say it is hard for my to put my thoughts on her route into words. Not because it wasn't fun to read, and not because it was the best thing I have ever read. It was exactly as I expected from Osadai, sex, over the top antagonists, panda's, and references out the ass. Which by no means is a bad thing. I didn't really like the whole sailor moon thing though. It was nice but I felt like Jun was a dumbass for not realizing it sooner. That's OK though since it's Osadai. Ran's first h CG was pretty awesome, except for the horribly drawn genitalia. Then when she was on all four's was just too good. Overall, I got exactly what I wanted from Osadai and look forward to reading the fan-disc in the future. Quote

LiquidShu Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I was planning on reading Majikoi-S right after Osadai, but now I think I will read some of my backlog on Steam. Going to read Shan Gui, then either start Majikoi-S or continue reading my steam library which consists of: Go! Go! Nippon, Analogue: A Hate Story, Hate Plus, Sunrider Academy, and The Way We All GO. This has to be my most prized achievement, took a lot of hours btw was just offline so Steam didn't record my sessions: Edit: Hot damn, really like the artwork in Shan Gui already. Edit2: Finished Shan Gui, very short. The artwork, music, and two characters were done well. As you would expect there wasn't a whole lot going on with under two hours of reading. If it goes on sale I would recommend buying it 100%. Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Finished Xblaze: Code Embryo It wasn't great, but not bad either. The story was fairly interesting and apart from the really disappointing side routes, I kinda liked it. I haven't really played Blazblue before, so probably I missed most of the references, but in exchange Xblaze made me really interested in playing Blazblue. The visuals and presentation are the most impressive part of Xblaze. The CGs and character models are good, and dynamic presentation is unique and really effective at the same time. My only complaint is that the image quality is sometimes pretty bad when they zoom in to the CGs. They way they use the zooming is pretty impactful at times, but when the original artwork has the same aspect ratio as the screen and you just up-scale it, it doesn't look that good. There's also a bonus gag route and it's super hilarious. It's full of memes, self-referential humor, stupid shit, over-the-top jokes and stuff like that. And it's short so the novelty doesn't wear off. Rainbow Meat/10 Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Started Majikoi S and it feels really weird coming back to lol. Definitely going to need a refresher going into this. I'm confident in my memory of the individual heroines route's and the agave route, then the bonus routes, but I can't recall to well the hermit/no girl route. Does Majikoi S continue from the no girl route or what? Just within the first few minutes and the game is lit though. Animated cut scenes, Kazama Family, grils, Moro as a trap... hype is real. Would it be better to pick the no relationship future first? Quote
Decay Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 The main starting trunk of Majikoi S starts from no route and instead creates its own start point after Chris and Yukie join the group but before (or at/during?) the first game's branch point. LiquidShu 1 Quote

From my understanding then, Majikoi S starts before anything actually happens in Majikoi 1? Then if I pick one of the heroine routes from Majikoi 1, they are a continuation from the endings of Majikoi 1 or no? May seem like a silly question and I am sure it will come to me once I get further in but I wanna know before hand Quote
Decay Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Yeah basically, the after stories in S are all continuations of the routes from 1. But the bulk of the new content in S is the stuff branching off the new start point they set up, where Yamato has yet to get into a romantic relationship with anyone. Quote

Deep Blue Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 almost done with ever 17, good vn but my god it is repetitive, you have to read the same route over and over and over again Quote

Make sure to view the bad endings too as they also kept track in the progress. The ones with Miyako are just freaking hilarious. GlassDemon 1 Quote

I made sure to get the first three bad endings with Miyako already. Reminds me of the good ol' times of Majikoi 1 I have thus far been introduced to all of the new heroines, learned what the Bushido thing is, caught up with the old characters, and established the overall feel of Majikoi S. I am in love already The hype while I am reading this will not be dying out. Majikoi has a certain charm that I have yet to find anywhere else, expectations are high. Quote

Bushido Plan = cloning former Japanese heroes/famous lords to modern version of themselves by Kuki Corp. Note that the gender from cloning may not match who they used to be, like Yoshitsune/Benkei being girls now when they were males in their past life. They may not have their previous life's memories, but their genetic makeup is the same, thus they still possess most of their combat aptitudes. It may be hard to understand at first, but this is the best way to describe it. This is a big part of the story in Majikoi S and some part of the A-fandiscs so it's quite important not to miss any details regarding it if you want to be as engaged as possible with the story. cenric Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Started Shikkoku no Sharnoth today and really enjoying it so far though it's not all that suprising since Sekien no Inganock was one of my favorites. Maybe four VN's in progress at the same time is a little much though. Quote

Flutterz Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Finished Miyako's route, at least the ending wasn't quite as abrupt as Wanko's. Should I do Momoyo's or Mayumi's route next? I don't particularly like either one but still like them more than Chris. Quote
