Decay Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 You're just picking all of the most fun VNs, aren't you? Eclipsed, Ariurotl and FinalChaos 3 Quote
KuroganeHomura Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Read through えむリア!~俺がドMになったのはどう考えてもお前らが悪い~, except for Haruka's route. I'll get to that sooner or later. It's pretty nice as a femdom VN, although there are some parts I could have done without. Like the MC forcing himself on the heroine in one of the routes. Really, the MC's just kind of annoying in general. But it was cute and had some pretty good H scenes, so I can forgive that. Also read Killer Queen, which I liked a lot. I usually tend to stay away from VNs with art like that, but I guess I should stop doing that. Really loved the second route in particular. Quote
Deep Blue Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Eclipsed just turned into the utsuge side On a side note I played this short novel yesterday https://vndb.org/v1296 (2 hours or so) really really surprised it was actually pretty good and I don't like those kind of stuff Canicheslayer 1 Quote

XReaper Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 started reading yabai! yesterday morning on train for some hours and did the same today. earned nothing but disgustful looks from my surroudings when i pretty much roared with laughter regarding rina getting raped & tortured for those grave sins she comitted. nevertheless enjoyed every single minute of it & simply needed this short episode of escapism to prevent the mind of mine becoming any more mushy...edit. this does NOt count as truly reading vn´s again like before, only few hours here & there when nothing else can be done... Kawasumi Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Eclipsed just turned into the utsuge side On a side note I played this short novel yesterday https://vndb.org/v1296 (2 hours or so) really really surprised it was actually pretty good and I don't like those kind of stuff oh yeah I read this in the summer, its actually pretty cute and pretty sad at the same time Quote
Deep Blue Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 yeah it was somehow refreshing to see a plot that wasnt about a high school guy or the typical love story, also the voice acting (very very amateur) gave it a little plus, the ending was what made it so good too, it ended in a non tipical way Kawasumi 1 Quote
Ariurotl Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 It's also the only VN where I can say that I like the bad end better than the good end.Same. Except for the "only" part, anyway. I could probably name a few others. But boy, was that good ending tacked-on or what? Terriburu. Quote
Decay Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 The good end is just some bullshit they tacked on to appease the people who demand them. Quote
Canicheslayer Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Reading Majikoi S (no more problem ), Kokoro's Route (I already skipped most of the crappy "fandisk" After part). Edit : Finished. No comment...Seriously, she deserved it. Well done, Yamato Edited December 9, 2015 by Canicheslayer Quote
Bastian77 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Just reading Baldr Sky final route and it is mindblowing!!Even though I should be studying for finals... Kawasumi 1 Quote
Dergonu Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Now that I´m all done with Euphoria, I´m gonna start playing Tick! Tack! Been looking forward to it, as I loved Shuffle! and Nerrine is my fav girl. Also, time travel and time lines and what not is always fun. Excited for the different endings. Also playing SonoHana Nyuu Jene on the untranslated side of things. Progressing slowly, but really like what I´ve played so far. Hazuki reminds me a lot of Nanami. (Who is the best girl in SonoHana, and if you disagree I will send a rabid Yuuna-Senpai after you, so be warned.) Quote
Vokoca Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Finished my first playthrough of Chaos;Child. My fears of the bad-end spoiler were both realised at first and then stomped into the ground, as C;C is probably the VN with the most "No, I am the REAL culprit!!!" twists after one another that I've ever read. But you know what? It actually goes about those in a pretty smart way, and it does a good job at slapping you around with red herrings when it really wants to. The main twist tying everything together was well thought out and it is definitely up there with the C;H one, it's really hard to say which is better. What is better, though, is the OST - so good! My only real complaint so far is that there is one character in particular that seems absolutely pointless. She doesn't contribute to the story in any way whatsoever in the first playthrough/normal ending. Well, they will most likely fix that in the new parts of the story that got unlocked, apparently; I'm expecting Noah style heroine endings.Btw, even after all that, Kanae is still best gir- *gets shot*She really is, and anyone who disagrees has shit taste. Mr Poltroon Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Same. Except for the "only" part, anyway. I could probably name a few others. But boy, was that good ending tacked-on or what? Terriburu. That it was. It felt forced and didn't really make much sense with the events going on. I get that most people like happy endings, but if you do, you probably shouldn't be reading Swan Song lol I actually rated it lower on VNDB than I would have if it was just the bad end because of the good end. It really was that much of an negative to me.The good end is just some bullshit they tacked on to appease the people who demand them. What this good ending actually means is that I can play the VN after all! Maybe. I was sort of a quarter through it before I figured out this was one of those bad end VN's. Imagine my pain... Quote

Hopefully .5pb gets it to pc one day.The twists in C;H were amazing so I really look forward to be mind-blown again. Quote
Eclipsed Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 I'll probably just outright skip the 'good' end for Swan Song then if it's just some tacked on BS to appease the happy folks like FiegoI hate being robbed of my tragedies.Making steady progress so far, I'm on like Scena 4 so it's Kuwagata AKA whiney sissy boy who will, come late game, either blossom into the most badass mother effing legend ever, or ultimately take the lame route and go through a heroic-Loser-BSOD of epic proportions and screw everybody over.Hibari's hilarious, the Austria / Australia & everyone bagging on her got me goodAnd Aroe, bless her soul, is currently #1 contender for knocking out LB!'s Komari off the top of my Most Dreaded Character to Listen to list.~~Btw, even after all that, Kanae is still best gir- *gets shot*She really is, and anyone who disagrees has shit taste. You. I like you. Quote
Fred the Barber Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 And Aroe, bless her soul, is currently #1 contender for knocking out LB!'s Komari off the top of my Most Dreaded Character to Listen to list. After a little while, I actually got used to and even liked Komari's voice. Aroe's, on the other hand, just made me want to smash my tablet until the sounds stopped. It sounds like you're around the same place I was in the novel when I started to feel attached to the cast, realized I really didn't want to see terrible things happen to them, and dropped it. It sounds like you're around the same place I was in the novel when I started to feel attached to the cast, realized I really didn't want to see terrible things happen to them, and dropped it.Ye, I'm just giving Komari more flak because she's actually the only character ever in my VN reading history pre-Aroe to outright annoy me with her voice Side note: you expressed interest earlier, but you should definitely stay away from Cartagra + KnS if you don't want to see terrible things happen to beloved characters Though, one day when you're ready to graduate from the innocent blisses of happy highschools and start dabbling in the tabooey death n' tragedy, I'd recommend starting with Corpse Party; it's like the perfect VN to make the transition. I probably wouldn't have gotten out of KnS unscathed* (read: depressed) if I wasn't already "desensitized" to characters dying thanks to Corpse Party *I still burned through like 50 boxes of tissues in the heat of the moment though~~~Welp, I reverse-logic'd myself and decided not to let whiney Swan Song boy equip a weapon, so based on the ending I got for not doing so he really is destined to become legendary. Eclipsed Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Atto Terzo Scena 2. So like, Act 3 Scene 2? Swan SongEyy Foreshadowing 101 So far the episodic conflicts-of-the-week are pretty meh, Act 1's police officers, then Act 2's random thugs and now Act 3's religious cult. I'm hoping late game will have a glorious internal strife among the main cast rather than outside fodder.I'd like to see Kuwagata 1v1ing Tsukasa over Yuka or somethingjk~~Seems Kuwagata got the most growth so far, went from whiney-boy to hardened-justice-man pretty quickly, I enjoyed him stabbing random thug #2 to save Nozomi and then him later 1v2ing them to save Yuka+Aroe, though obviously he gets one-upped by Tsukasa axing random thug #3 right down the face.Tanomura is the typical overpowered pacifist, and I have high expectations as to how his character will shutdown later (if at all). If not, boo.Hibari's kinda just living out her days along with Aroe, but she still provides top notch banter.Yuka's just there for the eye candy, seriously after every dangerous moment she'll bang Tsukasa 5 seconds after, it's like BOSS FIGHT Cleared, let's do it!@# friggen' hilarious. Funyarinpa Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Euphoria (all routes except true have spoilers) Nemu's route is so wonderfully fucked up, the tickle, tongue and itch torture were amazing to see. I think I saved right before the second bonus game, fucking sweet. Gotta love Nemu, the dynamic between her and the MC is interesting. Quote
Bastian77 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 And I ended up finishing Baldr Sky instead of studying...Procrastinating: it's so wrong but feels soooo good. And finally with this post, I will shut up and get to some studying Chronopolis 1 Quote
Canicheslayer Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Finished Majikoi S. 100 % completed. I was afraid after reading Margit's and Kokoro's routes but actually it was very entertaining (thanks to the Tsubame, Koyuki and maybe Monshiro). Having said that, I must admit that that this VN is gangrened by too much fanservice (some H-scenes were nice and/or funny but seriously...TOO MUCH, TOO LONG : more than than 50% of the novel, I think). And, to my mind, a significant part of the story was too rushed, almost botched...In other words, I'm slighly frustrated. Edited December 11, 2015 by Canicheslayer Quote
hydro Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Finished Last Resort a while ago. It was alright, art was the nicest thing about it. Wataru still best gril. Also started Koichoco more recently. Not really that big on any of the characters so far, but I'm gonna keep reading anyway.Finished Majikoi S. 100 % completed. Is the true route decent without too many H-scenes? Or are any routes like that? I like a good story and don't like the rest. Quote
