HMN Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm wondering what everyone thinks where the inspiration for Amane's background story came from? Huge spoiler for anyone that hasn't finished her route I suspect it was largely inspired by the 1972 soccer team that crash landed their plane in the Andes. Before passing away, relatives and friends offered their bodies as sustenance for the survivors. No one really saw them as monsters, rather most people understood it was a necessity to survive. I believe the cannibalism was sensationalized quote a bit in Amane's story. Still exciting to watch everyone turn into monsters chasing after Amane for some of that booty meat. you know i never thought about where did it get inspired from but i do recall hearing that story and i have to say in times like these you have to resort to extreme measures to survive but too much for amane i guess being called a cockroach and such in the game everyone turned into a ghoul and start chasing after amane and kazuki i really wonder how kazuki managed to survive Berilium 1 Quote
Satsuki Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Just finished Sakusaku. Will check out Lilium x Triangle next........... Quote

HMN Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I really disliked Sachi's bad end. I felt it happened too abruptly and it didn't make a lot of sense. I had just finished Amane's route and her bad end, so I expected a lot more from Sachi's. yeah her bad end was utterly stupid the only decent bad ends are in amane's route and makina's Quote

LiquidShu Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 But...Amane's bad end makes a line in her good end even more powerful...it's pretty damn good, if I say so myself. Definitely more than worth the ~6 minutes it took me to read. But... They make me sad and I don't like that... If anything I just read a summary of the bad ending if I want to know that bad. Quote

Guest Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Just played Planetarian ... Feels ... :,( So short, yet so good. Innocent and pure, what a wonderful story that was. 10/10 Quote
starkweather Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 her H scene was felt really weird for me he took extreme measures to solve her problem and then bang! H scene yeah i thought that was weird. she hadn't ate or drank for three days and didnt have the strength to pull herself out of the ground to save her own life, but somehow managed to fuck like a rabbit 30 minutes later. waies Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I was actually planning on choosing Yumiko for my first play through... Should I just get it over with first since it's so bad or go with Amanae? I started with Yumiko too , played amane and makina after . Yumiko was my fav girl but i don't know why I'm playing Toki o kanaderu waltz , i played sora o aogite kumo takaku But i had the "dominant" personality at my first playtrough ( i guess answer to everything she wanted was bad *sigh* ) , when she was calling the protagonist papa was missing me so i'm happy that she is still young in the sequel Quote
ac585318 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Helloo people, i'm new... Anyway, I'm playing Grisaia no Kajitsu right now also, on the Sachi route first as I don't want to start routes of either my most liked or disliked characters so kinda aiming downing the middle and going with Sachi, though she's becoming 1 of my favourite characters, but I suppose that happens when you go down a characters route xD Quote
Flutterz Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I dunno. I thought Amane was going to be my favorite, but Sachi is just so lovable and hilarious it's hard not to like her. She's by far my favorite character from Grisaia. Sachi best Grisaia girl. I mean, how can you not love this face: Quote
Berilium Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Sachi best girl IMO. She always has a comeback for everything. In Makina's route when she knocked up Michiru by crashing something on her head. I couldn't stop laughing Quote
Berilium Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 What's the recommended route order for Akatsuki no Goei? Quote
Aggressor Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 What's the recommended route order for Akatsuki no Goei? Doesn't matter if you make Moe to be the last one. Quote
Tawm Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I'm going through the Muv-Luv Extra routes. I know people say one should simply do the routes required to unlock Unlimited, but I have a serious case of OCD. Anyhow, Muv-Luv Extra is potentially the worst time I've ever had with a visual novel. Especially Chizuru's route. Terrible pacing and overall writing. I've never been so bored with a VN before. Hopefully it picks up in Unlimited and Alternative. Quote

Kenshin_sama Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 No joke. That reading habit is actually a lot better than most other peoples'. I personally never skip text nor do I pass up on routes (the only exception is Kamidori since I was in it more for the gameplay and H scenes than the story). Yeah, Extra was pretty awful from a writing standpoint, but I still managed to somewhat enjoy it. Shame you couldn't appreciate the drama in Chizuru's route, though. I actually prefer her route over the others in Extra. Still, it definitely doesn't hurt at all to finish the whole thing since it does still add something to the experience (regardless of it being optional). You'll have a slightly more complete experience of Unlimited and Alternative as compared to those that skipped the routes. Quote
Berilium Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 There's a prologue patch but after that it was left untranslated. Don't know if anyone is going to continue the translation. Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Pretty much finished the Steel Saga of Chou Dengeki Stryker, just need to take a look at both heroines' epilogues then it's on to the Light Saga. Resuming playing Rewrite and am now in the flashback part of Shizuru's route. It's surprisingly good so far, though considering how many people seem to have disliked it I'm a bit apprehensive of a downhill point somewhere further into the story Quote
douggle Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Just finished Otomaid@Cafe. Was short but pretty good. After this I am waiting until Ixrec finishes Comyu its at 98 percent so it should be out within the next few weeks. Scratch that, reading the My Girlfriend is the President Fandisc Quote
LiquidShu Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) Anyone recommend a dating sim for a first timer? Persona, Growlanser, Conception II etc have dating elements to them but it isn't their sole purpose/main focus of the game. Other than those I can't recall actually playing one, unless you count most VN as "dating sims" but I am under the assumption they are different beasts. I don't think this question is worthy of a thread so I will ask here since I plan to play one in the near future. Edited July 14, 2014 by LiquidShu Quote

Yeah, I generally feel that it's a useful trait, though somewhat annoying at times. You should see me play an RPG. You'd want to slap me within an hour for lack of progress. I couldn't take most of the routes seriously in Extra. The One Tree Hill parody from Family Guy should sum it up perfectly. "Dude, let me tell you something; there is nothing that will ever happen in the rest of our lives that's as important as what's going on right here, right now in high school by these lockers." Followed by "High school is such a serious thing - these problems matter!" I'm about halfway through Unlimited now. Significantly better to say the least. Quote
Kenshin_sama Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 How long would it take for you to get through an Elder Scrolls game? Yeah, and especially compared to a friend I know that skips routes that are important to the story. He skipped most of the routes in Little Busters and went straight into Refrain without the knowledge needed from the others (I'm not sure if he skipped Rin2 or not). He also skipped Unlimited and went from the 2 necessary routes in Extra to Alternative. Poor guy. >.< Well, he still ended up giving Alternative a 10 anyways, so at least it wasn't a huge detriment to his experience. Wish I could say the same for Little Busters, though. ;_; Quote
