Not what I'm playing, but what I just finished playing. Umineko was just, simply, amazing. I have to admit it surpassed Clannad on my rankings, never have I read something so good. I feel smarter after reading Umineko, I thought it would be a mind screw, like everyone says about it, but it was a truly enlightening VN for me.

Decided to give it a try as they just started the anime and because everyone on tumblr goes bat shit crazy for it and I like to find out why.

So far, I have no idea what its supposed to be about.

Hey Guys... I just finished Hoshizora no Memoria and enjoyed it. It was ,for sure not the best VN i read but some Parts/Routes are really nice. Also everything was really easy going ...

The other VN i was playing, G-Senjou no Maou, i've to stop for now. The stuff is simply to "heavy" for me in this time of the year . So I'm looking for some new VN's (only translation, of Course) which are really easy going and entertaining like Hoshizora. The best would be something like Kono Oozora ni ( If my heart had wings). So i'm looking forward to your suggestions and believe in your unbelievable knowledge.

Thats a really, really terrible idea. All the furigana that shows up is randomly jumped up into the sentence because nothing seems to be able to texthook it with the latest patch (that you need if you want to avoid bugs that end just as the final boss starts, etc). And the plot is among the most complicated in all of eroge, you will probably not understand any of the intricate things that actually make it so good. Not to mention its also 4.68MB of text and contains quite a few infodumps about differences of AI, Cyberpunk terminology, etc etc etc.

Holy shit I just read Amane's bad end (Yeah never read it don't hurt me pls) expecting something silly like Sachi's or Yumiko's bad end but instead I got this epic ending that I liked more than the good ending.

past death for him.

Anyways just finished Michiru's good route and wow it exceeded my expectations. It took 3 different routes just to get me interested in Michiru but once I played it I feel like it was the most enjoyable route so far. It was silly and just fun to read to the end, also Michiru is actually pretty cute in her own right

 

One route left! Time to play Makina's route... Don't really know what to expect...

So from how things turned out for Akane in Chihaya's route, does that make her Sephiroth?

That's the reason why I didn't want to play her route in the first place. The whole papa thing and knowing there'd be h scenes with her made me uncomfortable. I gave in though after a couple months of putting Grisaia down with Makina being the only route I hadn't played. I was feeling nostalgic so I figured, "Why not?"

Honestly, I don't regret it. The humor in her route had me laughing the entire way. The h scenes were awkward and I skipped through it as much as possible so it was okay. Lol. Overall, it was a pretty decent route, awkwardness aside.

Yep, same here.  I'm not done with it yet, but it's probably the funniest route in the whole VN, IMO.  The whole "Papa" thing creeps me out too, but God, the writing is golden.

 

Her parts were golden even before her route.

Man, now I want to get back into it.

You are never "done" with Grisaia until you read the whole series ò.ó

 

 

....now that we got that we settled that downm you should play Sharin no Kuni if you want a cool MC, twists and a badass villain (anti-hero may be the correct word); Hoszhizora no Memoria if you want something more soft with romance and fantasy (AND STARS!)

Hoshizora no Memoria, because that's just what I started today.

No, but really, you have three good options there. You could be happy any which way you decide. Memoria seems pretty good so far, aside from the annoying little sister action going on right about now. Ugh, if I hear "Onii-chan!" (x3) one more time!
