bit off track for a sec but i just wanna point out ( my personal opinion only) i wouldn't really see the need for a flawed character in a world where i can summon my own dragon O.O. I think a funny sadistic OP one would have fit the bill with so much justice around him then you could color him pink a little with a generic design flaw but not too much. If He was in a normal type setting he would have been a great MC for me though. Sometimes i fantasize have Yuuji, Kenichi or Maou as the MC for comyu, i would have played the shit out of that. #finalofftopic

 

On a new topic: is there any way to play Meikyuu without waiting on Koestl, learning japanese or kidnapping solidbatman and forcing him to voice it to me?

Am I the only one that liked Akihito's hypocritical and cynical behavior? Yeah we could argue that as a male character Gasai was much more likable, but Akihito fitted the spot this time around in my opinion. Flawed characters are always the best characters, they transmit much more realism and feeling.

Now getting this derailed train on track, I'm still entering Shizuru's route because today I made no progress on rewrite. I'm gonna try to make progress tonight/tomorrow.

I think Akihito could really use a voice actor, honestly. He needed to be seperated from the reader more. He's not really meant to be someone to sympathize with or anything, he's a really flawed and angry individual with a hundred problems with him, but I don't really think he's a knock on the story.

Honestly, his core belief of the Gentle Kingdom (fuck this translation seriously) is part of the reason why I find comyu succeeds. Without his ranting and his talks of the world, Comyu would honestly be just a fairly generic shounen story.

I did, Lucia is one of the ultimate waifu material. Her deredere is too OP, she completely melted me on the inside.

Do you mean "rote" or "chapter"?  The way Sharin is structured, you can't finish a route unless you finish the VN storyline, and you have to pass all of the heroines' chapters to finish the storyline.  Each heroine has their own chapter, with Chapter 1 technically being the common route, and Chapter 5 being the ending.

 

I mean chapter. I'm going to focus on the heroines in reverse order, going Natsumi, then Touka, then Sachi, then Harem, then secret heroine (though it's pretty obvious who the secret heroine is going to be.)

 

(Also, yes, I totally use guides whenever I play VNs. Forgive me.)

There's going to be a Tears to Tiara 2, iirc it's going to be a playstation 3 exclusive and it will be much more of an RPG than the first one. Also it won't have 18+ content since it's a console exclusive.

Have fun, the translation is flawless and it's easily one of the most well written game out there. (Second Chapter for winter !)

Well, finished Euphoria - or so I thought. It was probably just some sort of a fake ending, since when I went back onto Nemu's route, I've got past the "credits" and then it just kept going.... and going... and the farther it got, the more retarded the plot was. I thought the plot was supposed to be good, not some predictable shit that just gets more ridiculous as it goes. Well, I think I'm done. I don't have the energy to read this, completely lost all the interest with where the VN went.

 

Seeing Keisuke's psychological battle was quite entertaining, Nemu's ridiculous character traits aside. I also quite liked that part just before the escape, with the various traps. With porn out of the equation for once, it was pretty interesting and tense. Too bad they moved from that stuff entirely and went for the ridiculous and nonsensical school war bullshit.

 

The VN has good art, voice acting (for the characters that actually are voiced) and OST, I'll give it that. But the plot... well, shouldn't have expected much from a nukige I suppose. Dropped.

Personally, I think it depends on the story. In a lot of cases, I think it's extremely out of place. Like, I feel like G Senjou no Maou didn't need H scenes at all. However, something lighthearted can have them in without feeling too out of place. Then there are the in-between cases, where the sexual content is actually relevant to the story, I think those are the best situations for H content.

Like, in Katawa Shoujo, (Hanako's route, at least) they end up using the H scenes as a means to show you how completely fucked up and broken the relationship between the MC and Hanako is. And in Grisaia, Amane does sexual stuff out of deep-seeded guilt she feels.

But then you end up in situations like Fate/Stay Night where the H content is not only completely unnecessary, but it's also just disturbing.
