I haven't read very much of anything lately, but I finally made it to the third OP of Fortissimo. Really having fun with this one. They recently used the track

again... and I swear I almost cried. That track really gets me, and I just know that there is going to be a scene in this route that just absolutely murders me while this track is playing. Thanks foreshadowing.

 

Even though I kinda see where this is going, my feels will not be able to handle it at all! ；＿；

Finished Fal's route in Symphonic Rain. I liked it. Well, SR gets me because of the mood, but I like how that extended to the character's actions as well, so I'll probably like it all the way through. On to Lise, I heard that this is among the poorer parts though.

I had a ton of fun reading it. Funnily enough i could not really be bothered by the overarching plot and had more fun reading the slice of life parts.

Funfactor 10/10

I am stuck with one question though, after the ending credits are there more scenes or not?

because i went to the eclipse part of the vn immidiatly after and forgot to check.

 

Now it is waiting for the voice patch before i replay this game.

Hollow Ataraxia is super enjoyable. My favorite Type-Moon game without a doubt.

I also didn't care about the main plot that much, the slice of life stuff was too much fun, but I really liked the ending and the few scenes leading to it.

Finished Princess Evangile and I am moving on to most likely School Days HQ. I am finishing downloading it now but since there are so many routes I don't know how well I am going to do. That and there are many other tempting games to play.

Speaking of, just finished Ciel's route in Tsukihime.  Unlike with Arcueid's route, I actually prefer the true ending here.  It was happy ending in general without being...  well the good ending was a bit too ridiculous for me.

I'm more shocked that I could parse out the words once you translated it.  My horrible Japanese is evolving slowly into "I can read incredibly basic sentences."

really, i actually really liked the good ending.

I just started playing いたずら狂悪 (Itazura Kyouaku, or Molestation Enthusiast).  It uses a 64-bit Unity engine which is completely unhookable, so I've been playing it relying only on my own Japanese skills.  I've been a bit surprised how much I can actually understand.  I can basically follow what's going on, though the flashbacks are hard to follow, and I miss the details.  It's not as hard as I thought it would be, though I'm not sure I'd want to play a non-nukige this way.

... Steam tells me it took 10 hours. Oddly enough, I was short one Achievement in the end, "Farewell..."

Somehow, in a game where the Achievements are story based, impossible to miss, I missed the very first one. Actually wish now that I hadn't gone back and unlocked it in the end, should have saved it for the final unlock after Chapter 14.

Just finished Hollow/Ataraxia. I started this when it was just a partial patch but never got around to finishing the rest when it came out. I really liked Caren as a character, she's not as good as Illya or Rin but she was definitely very interesting.

 

I'm not sure how I feel about Shirou being Avenger, I mean I guess it doesn't matter either way but I feel like it's going to be much harder if I decide to re-read this knowing that it isn't Shirou. Oh well, I'll probably re-read if they successfully manage to port the voiceovers to the PC version.

I guess that Kyouhei was Maou, but I didn't even suspect Touma of being Maroudo

Maroudo (accidentally?) flirting with Yamato via the computer was a super dead giveaway. But even without that, there were other hints, sometimes indirect, like the opening scenes of the route that showed Koyuki's childhood, and if she's involved, Touma probably is too (you could tell it was Koyuki because she was given a soft, white, gummy candy at the end of that sequence, a marshmallow). And I was expecting it just because a huge confrontation between Touma and Yamato was hinted at, and the one in Momoyo's route was really unsatisfying as a confrontation between those two specifically. So I figured the final route would definitely feature that.

It's now Stalled though and I started Swan Song.

 

I decided not to play more than two Visual Novels at once, so I'm planning on finishing these two separately one after the other before moving on to a new one, and I've decided it to be Muv Luv Alternative. I know nothing about it so I am kind of curious if I have to play/read the previous ones.

You don't necessarily *have* to but doing so raises your level of attachment to many of the characters, which Alternative relies on you having. It is definitely recommended that you read Extra and Unlimited first.
