Flutterz Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Wait...Tsukihime is longer than Fate/stay night? O.O Wow. If that's true, I'll think I'll move it lower on my to-read list. I need a break from long VNs for a little bit. I don't think it's longer, I simply mean the time between the date I started and the day I finished the VN. Little Busters, for example, took me like a week. Quote
Vokoca Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Played some more of AXANAEL yesterday. I really should be finishing up Yume's route in Hoshizora instead, but those Russian Roulete sequences with the kagome song in the background are just so damn epic. Quote
Guest Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Going for my last Grisaia route : Makina ._. ... I don't wanna ... Quote
Vokoca Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Going for my last Grisaia route : Makina ._. ... I don't wanna ... I really didn't want to do hers either since it had that pseudo-incest feel and lolis aren't exactly my thing, but I was very pleasantly surprised - it actually ended up being my favourite route, right next to Amane's. So I think you'll like it too, if only from the story standpoint. Quote
Guest Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Not sure if I asked this before, but how is Michiru's route? I'm starting to like her character a little more now that I can see she's not entirely empty-headed. The character is freaking awesome but the end of that route ... the guy who wrote it diserves some slaps in the face. It had so much potential but ... yeah .. And yeah makina ... please stop calling me Daddy, it feels ... not good at all ! Damn I don't want to date that brat. Quote
Darkshine Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Almost finished with Da Capo II, i'm thinking the next VN I play should be less slice of life/romance based because that's all i've been playing. Quote
Flutterz Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Finished Juniper's Knot, and while it was certainly a touching story, and I don't generally mind short VNs, it was a little too short imo, didn't even take me half an hour to finish it. Playing Go Go Nippon now, for teh lulz. Quote
FruitsPunchSamurai Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Just started Lovely x Cation, so far so good. I finished Danganronpa earlier, and the Bear is such an asshole but my favorite character Quote
Lucky Bucket Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Just finished the first playthrough (I chose Yuela) of Kamidori Alchemy Meister (Or rather Kamidori Dungeon Meister) sure took time. but it's a lot of fun to play ^^ Quote
douggle Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 After taking a bit of a break I am now reading Umineko no Naku Kori ni Chiru. I am still on the End of the Golden Witch Chapter however I am making steady progress. Quote

And it WAS informative... however I am disappointed they recycled CG's AND Music from Kira Kira Quote
Dizzyworld2 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I completed LB! EX routes last week and I can say that I was pretty satisfied with it. If I were to rate the characters, it would be: Saya > Sasasasasa-chan > Kanata and if I were to rate the routes, it would be: Saya > Kanata > Sasasasasa-chan. I have to be quite honest about something though: I personally prefer Riki x Saya (more like the other way around lol) out of all the non-joke pairings. Their interactions and Saya's self-destructive mode are cute. Only if Rin wasn't the main heroine though. If she wasn't, I would ship them without worry. The joke ending 'School Revolution' was hilarious, not to mention the masochistic mode or status Saya needed for it. I also ended out reading all the way through Mayuri's ending in Steins;Gate. All I can say is that I'm extremely satisfied with this vn. I probably may end out finishing the vn tomorrow or the day after at this rate... Sadly, I'll be taking a break (again) from vns after this. Quote

InSoulFallen Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Finished Koisuru Doll passable story but not worth much if you ask me the Moe art that kept me going Starting InnocentBullet Quote
Wahfuu Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 It's really that bad? Bummer, I was kinda looking forward to it. Oh well. Michirus route is REALLY polarized. You either love it or hate it, honestly. It has some absurdly hard to believe things, but some people don't mind. My biggest complaint as I've voiced many atimes in this thread is Yuujis random role as antagonist. Quote
Kynbound Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Because of those hard to believe things Michiru got retconned in the sequels i believe Quote
Scars Unseen Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Playing through Saya no Uta. Kind of feels like The Twilight Zone so far. Quote
douggle Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I hope your body is ready. Apparently Saya no Uta freaks people out. Won't spoil anything, but it's pretty messed up. I thought it was more bittersweet than fucked up. While it certainly has fucked up elements to it. I thought it was all in all quite a bittersweet tale. Quote

Scars Unseen Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 What are you saying, Saya is a touching romance story. I'mnotevenjoking. Well there is romance, and people have been touched, so you aren't wrong. Quote
Flutterz Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I did that before I started Umineko. The girls are both cute. And it WAS informative... however I am disappointed they recycled CG's AND Music from Kira Kira That's pretty much how I felt about it after seeing 20 minutes of it on youtube, interesting but with recycled backgrounds and music. Speaking of which, I've finished it and am going to read Ballad of an Evening Butterfly next. Quote
Scars Unseen Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 So I finished all the endings for Saya no Uta(damn, that was a short one), and I found it quite enjoyable. Not quite the mind screw I'd heard it was though. Fairly predictable if you're into horror or weird fiction. Still, I liked it quite a bit. Trying to decide between G-Senjou no Maou and Clannad for my next one... I've heard good things about both, and I haven't read any of Key's stuff yet. Quote

I'd say go for Clannad, the sooner you get into Key's stuff the better. Quote
