Vokoca Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Just finished Mare's route as well. It was pointless as I thought, and the h-scene was just... ugh, but at least the rest was really cute, and the ending was sweet. Overall, while the story was kind of lacking, the presentation, art and soundtrack were very nice. So, as I thought, 8/10 for Hoshizora no Memoria for me. I've been reading some more AXANAEL in the meantime. My favourite character died, and seeing how the story is built, I'm really starting to doubt the roulette parts are random. Well, I still hope they are, I will have to try once I reach the end, whatever it might be. Currently, the story went completely bonkers. If you disliked the second half of Chaos;Head, stay as far away from this VN as possible, because it's going even beyond the ridiculous territory. Really not sure what to think of the VN at this point, it'll all depend on whre it goes next, and if the roulette even has any variables or not. Quote
silverpikachu99 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I just finished 'Conquering the Queen' and I'm just dead. I didn't think nukige could go that low. The story was bleh, the soundtrack was bleh bleh and the H-scenes were just disappointing.. Quote
monkeysrumble Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I started reading Katawa Shoujo. I think the history around the project is really neat and the end result wasn't too shabby. Quote
Akatsubaki Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Playing Tsuki ni Yorisou Otome no Sahou, so far., i fell in love with SAKURAKOUJI LUNA- SAMA!!! <3 First time i fell in love with a heroine this bad lol That do-S personality but still soo kind inside can't take it >.< Quote
Famichip Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Finished with Sayaka's route in Majikoi A-1. Loved the extra 'service' they put in this route. Azumi's next. Quote
Alucard Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Now, if you want terribly narrated h-scenes, read Fate/stay night. The narration completely ruins the mood in most of them. Really, I think in one point one of the heroine's lady parts are compared to seafood, and in another one Shirou says that the sex "feels so good he could vomit". Not joking. Can't be worse than the descriptions given in rance games Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Been playing Yoiko's route in Tsujidou-san no Virgin Road, gotta hand it to Minatosoft games for telling you when Japanese holidays are (it's apparently White Day today) Quote
Darkshine Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Just finished Da Capo II, took longer than I should have and wondering what I should do next. The ending didn't make sense to me with what happened to Sakura. Quote
Alucard Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Does grisaia have choices? It feels like I've been playing a while without any type of choice? Quote
Kynbound Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Dont worry. Keep playing and you will eventually reach them. Quote
FruitsPunchSamurai Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 If the robotics;notes PS Vita port releasing in JP gets localized to U.S i will be a very happy man. Also you'll reach the choices eventually in Grisaia, though sitting through that long ass common route is pretty tough. Quote
Forythos Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I haven't been reading VNs much in the past few months, but I've been trying to get back to it and finish some of those I had started. I went back to my old game of Fate/Stay Night this week, currently up to day 10 of UBW. There's also Rin's route in Katawa Shoujo that I've been trying to finish since it's the last one I've got remaining. Surprisingly good so far, considering she was my least favorite before that. Guest Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Am I the only one who thinks Grisaia is just too freaking long ? It's sloooow ... I can't finish the game because I get bored every 10 minutes because nothing happens ... Once you are set on a route, unless it's on michiru's or yumiko's the actual story doesn't kick in until at least 4 hours of gameplay ... And this is so annoying, especially when I have to endure 4 hours of Makina ... The character is soooo annoying ! Please tell me her story quickly so something can make her interesting God damn it ! I actually liked how long Grisaia was, since it was filled with amazing humour and likeable characters. Dragging VNs can get really boring, but that wasn't the case of Grisaia for me - there was no amazing plot getting teased throughout the common route, so I could focus on the jokes and characters and enjoy them, instead of wanting to get through it all as fast as possible for some better plot. And come on, Makina is awesome. The funniest character from the bunch! HowdareyouhavedifferentopinionsIdon'teven Quote

Muv-Luv Extra felt like much more of a drag at a tiny fraction of the actual length. Grisaia was an incredibly enjoyable read for me from start to finish, with humor that made me actually laugh out loud on a regular basis. Quote
Guest Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Maybe i'm trying to hard to go through it then, I'll try taking my time a little more rather than forcing myself to play. Quote

Vokoca Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Couldn't help it and read a tiny bit more of Senshinkan. Damn, Akira is pure cuteness. The ADV parts are much easier to read, though I still think I'm getting way over my head here... just 5 months of proper japanese study behind me, after all. I was thinking of reading Akatsuki no Goei instead-- how's that VN? Also, to the people who read I/O, is the ending really so bad? Quote
Zhiroo Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Gonna start I/O today (will be streaming it as well ) Quote

I think it is good so far and I like the quirky characters but I would have liked to see more gameplay. Even if my responses didn't impact the overall story I'd get a better sense of being the character instead of watching them Quote
waies Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 playing Izuna Zanshinken , tried it before but couldn't understand what the "ojou" was saying , now i'm fine and the game seems great Quote
