Using VNR with Shinigami no Testament, text is repeated and text options are read only

Kay, first of all, apologies if this has already been answer, but after going through 5 pages, I kinda refuse to go through all 47 which mostly consist of vague titles leading me to have to check every single thread that has some kind of relevance since a title like "Issue with VNR" isn't very helpful -.-, that aside. 

 

Game Name: Shinigami no Testament ~menuet of epistula~

Description of Problem: When using VNR the text is repeated and I can't change the settings in the text settings since "All settings are read-only". 
Your Operating System: Windows 10 x64

 

 

First thing I need to say is that I intentionally have two translators, reason being is so that I can get a better understanding of the text, that's not my problem. My problem is that each translation is repeated So. I'm kinda at a loss for what to do, I've tried opening every as an admin, I have my locale set to Japanese, etc. The thing I'm most confused about is why the settings are read only, since every other game I've played has been fine. It's starting to give me a headache since I do a lot of skim reading so that I can read both translations faster, but the repeated text is just getting in the way -.-

Have you successfully gotten VNR to work with another game in your current OS environment?  Have you successfully changed the text settings before?  Have you thoroughly read the VNR official website?  Does ITHVNR hook the game correctly?  Are any H-codes listed for this game on the Internet?

 

...those are the questions I'd ask myself.

I actually mentioned that it works fine on other games and that this was the only with an issue, but I solved my problem so that's all fine. The issue was just the .exe file I was using to open the game, I just had to use a different one, as weird as that may sound (long story short, the file I was using to load the game was a setup file since the actual file to load the game doesn't work, I just had to find a replacement file).

 

But for the sake of answering of those questions, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Though half of that doesn't exactly help since, it hooked the game wrong, but I couldn't change it, regardless of if there was a H-code or not, I wouldn't be able to change it, though non of it matters now, so, thanks for trying to help anyways ^ _^

Kiyukii sama could try turning off "Embed Translation" in Preferences/Embed, and then Text Settings will be editable.

Embed Translation mignt only work for latest games and is not well tested for old games ...
