Aselia the Eternal 18+?

Since i wanted to buy this game for a while now and there didn't seem to be an uncut version I decided to order it from Play-Asia and I was surprised that it's rated as 18+ (and yes, it's translated).

Is that a mistake or is it a version I didn't know about?

 

I'm just asking because I'm curious, it's already ordered since I was planning to buy it anyway.

It's a mistake.  There is no adult version of Aselia the Eternal in English, even in the shadowy corners of the Internet.

It seems that if Aselia the Eternal sells well on Steam JAST USA may think about going back and adding a patch for the h-content to be put back in.

H-Version

I'm aware that all english versions are without H-scenes. Will there ever be a version with the missing H-scenes because Eien no Aselia -The Spirit of Eternity Sword- and Eien no Aselia Expansion -The Spirit of Eternity Sword- both cointain H-scenes. Hopefully you will release a patch or a full version (missing H-scenes are missing content so no full game, even if they are unimportent and/or forced).

It's definitely possible, just not something we're currently working on for Aselia. With the version on Steam of course it is the non-H version. After we're finished with releasing Seinarukana, we'll revisit Aselia and its H content.

I'd like an 18+ version on Aselia. I don't feel the need to play 50+ hours of content without any hentai to keep me interested.

The only way for me to play this game is by adding the h-content to the english patch. Otherwise 50+ hours of intensive rpg with the only purpose of reaching the end of the game is not possible for me.

Maybe it's an issue of efficiency and time management? Like why waste time browsing for hentai on the internet when you can masturbate to VNs instead? I think he's just getting rid of 2 birds with 1 stone.

I can understand why people demand 18+ content in romance VNs and shit, and I understand why people are not happy with large amounts of content being removed from Aselia like the evil route, but to just straight up be like "I won't play an RPG unless it has porn in it" is kind of baffling to me. I mean, I guess at the end of the day, you do you, but man, I don't get it.

Indeed. I think that isn't a good attitude to bring VNs to the west... I mean, you can read whatever you want, but I hope you care not only for that...

To be honest though, americans are perfectly fine with nudity. Its hardcore porn that is the problem. Plenty of young people and people with strict morals will watch titties flopping around in conan as someone gets cleaved from head to asscrack

I'm more worried of people who don't buy a game only because it has no 18+ scenes, that's all. An all-ages version, not only censored but with a different script, isn't always the worst(actually, it's the best in most cases).

Pretty subjective imo. Some of us (like me) don't appreciate anime anymore because it's garbage tier when compared to VNs plus all the shitty fanservice that are so pointless and do nothing but frustrate the people watching them for not going all the way. VNs ftw because they hold nothing back and aren't afraid to show exposed tits or pussy. All these censorship and cut content do nothing but make VNs turn like animes..... a Japanese entertainment medium that's slowly going downhill due to poor production decisions.

Regular games give the player the possibility to do much more than clicking. RPG-VN like this one are 30% played, 70% read, while the others can be as low as 5% played and 95% read. Don't get me wrong, I played a lot of games, but for me a VN is more like a book and less like a game. If the VN story presents a simply platonic relationship between the MC and the rest of the cast from the beginning, I will gladly read it. But I've played halfway through the game once and the amount of cupid's arrows shot in this game is freaking huge. All ages or not, if people can fuck on the streets and demand their rights ( oh yeah, it happened more than once ), I can at least say that I'm not able to read something filtered through the view of PTA.

Yeah pretty much. Mosaics arent as effective on me anymore from all this VN reading. The power of the mind and imagination are not to be underestimated.

But if there's an uncensored version of the VN, I tend to get that if I could.

This game reminds me of tears to tiara. What kind of audience do you guys think it would appeal to? How is the gameplay? I'm getting kinda curious and I dunno if I'm going to purchase it the first day it is released or not.

The stories in VNs are rarely all that good. Having that 18+ content is pretty much my driving force to keep reading. If I'm in the mood for a good story and good character development I'll reading a novel or a light novel. Also the original version of this VN was 18+. There was no all age version for the PC version. They went and cut content from the PC version because they thought it would sell better in the rest of the world. I'm hoping that by not getting it I can prove this thought wrong. Though to be honest even if the original didn't have 18+ content I still wouldn't get it. What VNs have that the other other mediums(manga, anime, light novels) don't have is a better balance of story and 18+ content. If you read an H-manga there is sex in every chapter and the story is just an excuse to have that H-content. Same with H-anime. As for H-light novels I've never read one which likely means there aren't any good ones worth translating.
