Commissioner Mephisto lifted the sheet, glanced at the cooling corpse underneath, and then grimaced. It was just as the officer on the scene had said, and it meant a lot of paperwork and a lot of overtime for his detectives...

A mysterious cloaked stranger quietly treads the soaked streets as the sound of water drizzles overhead. Rain blankets the neon-lit city with colors of cerulean and ash. The sound of footsteps, barely audible in the distance, slowly slosh through the thick puddles littering the ground. In mere moments, the footsteps speak.

"Do you understand your instructions?" asked the patron. As per usual, names had not been exchanged.

"Of course," responded the informant. "This should not prove terribly difficult.

"Nothing must lead back to me."

"How could it?" the informant contended. "Even if I were caught - and I won't be - I don't know who you are."

"What name will you use?"

"Today I shall be...Blue Cross."

Welcome to a complete revamp of the murder mystery game here on the forums of Fuwanovel! In this new and exciting take, you get to play as a team of expert thieves out to steal important data around the city of New Fuwa. Can you sneak your way to success, or will the city bury you deep with the rest of the lowly scum?

Your leader, known only as the infamous Blue Cross, is a highly trained and expert larcenist who will stop at nothing to obtain what she desires. Being skilled in the art of thievery, she requires a team of 4 expert larcenists whose skills go above and beyond that of a petty thief.

Are you up to the challenge? If so, take a look below and submit your application file in this thread by performing the following tasks:

1. Begin by downloading the following PSD (Photoshop) file:

2. Edit the file by using the above template as an example. Make sure to include the following information in the manila folder:

• The image can be anything you'd like it to be. It represents your character in the game
• Give yourself a unique print. This does not need to be a fingerprint; use something that defines your character
• Fill out the information below the image and print sections. The font I used is located here, but feel free to use a different font if you like something else
• Finally, provide some backstory on the opposite page. Images are great, but aren't needed. Make this section interesting and eye-popping

When you are finished, submit your completed work to this thread. Blue Cross will select what she believes to be the most interesting and best suited candidates for the job, so make sure your submission is the best there is!

Sure. Why do you want to become a thief? Basically, what is the motive for you doing what it is you are going to be doing. Explain what you are like, what led you here. It's like a biography, but feel free to use a lot of lore and images. Imagine that this folder was stationed at a police department.

I'll perhaps be jumping in - though I'm unsure of how exactly the mechanics would be developed and what liberties could be taken for roleplay reasons.  Let me see if I can figure something out really quick...

You see the tilted text and images to the right? I nearly had to sell my arm in order to tilt that stuff! It was ridiculous!

Anyway, I don't think this is an acceptable entry, given all of de Killer's conditions to work, but it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this.

I do have interest, though the majority of my mental energy is redirected in other directions at the moment, and I'd lack the remaining mental energy for a higher-level entry entry post in terms of both writing/image manipulation (as I don't have photoshop and gimp isn't my specialty.)

I could give a barebone introduction that could perhaps work out, as I have a general idea character-wise, but I'm unsure if that would be acceptable at the moment.  If it would be alright, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
