Noumi Kudryavka Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Besides all the Japanese, anime, manga, etc. related things we own, what other things does everyone own that are either rare, odd, or just things that you wouldn't find in any other household very quickly? At the moment, there are 2 things I can think of. My car is quite the oddity, not found everywhere. 1974 Miami Blue 1200cc (40hp) Volkswagen Beetle. I also recently bought this rare oddity, an Ignatz Flying Pendulum Clock. Not a great time keeper, fun to try though. If you can get it's accuracy below 10 minutes per day, you can go and collect your Gold Medal of Tall Tales. $400,- well spent This is one of 8 clocks that were never sold. I bought it brand new, unopened in the box since the 1960s! (They were made from 1959 till 1979)(The foam inside was molding XD) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HzJGUuE8gk ^ Yes, this is mine! Flutterz Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Hmm, I dunno if it counts as a rarity but I have a wooden bow hanging on my wall. Pretty sure most households don't have that. Quote
firecat Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 my ultra rare Weiss Schwarz CCG (card game) that is written in jp, miku hatsune version. Quote
mjriedstra Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I own a Tweety Bird stuffed animal that's so large that the three hairs sticking up from his head are the size of french fries. I guess that's my claim to fame. And no, I don't understand to this day why Tweety Bird has hair. Regarding clocks, just don't take it to school and you're good. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/muslim-boy-14-arrested-making-clock-mistaken-bomb-33793557 Quote
